Congratulations on your new home. Beautiful home. Can't wait to see the blog on step by step guide on buying your home. Wishing you both every happiness. Xx
House looks great with your furniture. I think a stone feature would be nice to cover the brick in the lounge and it would be in keeping with the MCM vibe. 😊
Congrats guys, house looks amazing! It would be great if you could explain how long you need to have been living in Australia before you can buy a property free from the foreign buyer rules. Also what minimum deposit percentage is typical in Australia, is it similar to the UK?
I found your videos as I'm moving back to Perth from London with my British husband. I haven't lived there for almost 15 years so feeling a little mixed about it all, but your vids seem positive so there's some relief there :D Congrats on your home, looks lovely! We're also hoping to buy soon after we arrive and I have no clue how it all works. My questions are: - how many houses did you look at? - do you feel you had to compromise? - did you offer over asking price? if so, by how much? - did you offer on any other places? If so, were there lots of offers on those places? Thanks in advance, look forward to your next video!!
Hi Cat, we are a young couple from the UK who moved to Perth last year on a working holiday visa, but we are looking to stay long term on a sponsorship visa. Do you need permanent residency to get a mortgage here? Do you need much renters experience to get a mortgage here? We are currently renting through Flatmates so have no official renting experience due to the crazy market here! Thanks :)
You need to have been resident for at least two years before you can apply for a mortgage, regardless of whether you have residency or not. I’m not sure about needing to be a permanent resident, because I’m born Australian and my husband has Permanent Residency. We found that after the sale of our UK house and paying off that mortgage, we could be mortgage free, as long as we were prepared to go further out. We’ve ended up in an area of Perth that has lots of UK people living in it.
Congratulations! 🎉 it would be great if you could walk us through the house buying process and any challenges you faced along the way. Also, did you use any government schemes or receive any waivers, exemptions, etc?
Congratulations on your new home! It looks really cosy. How long did the process of buying a house last overall? Did you have to show proof of your PR? xoxo, Gaia
I’m not sure if you’ve posted your buying experience vlog but please don’t name the selling agent as it would be so super easy to find your addresss from that alone
Congratulations!!! 🏠 🥂 I’m a fellow brit who has been in NZ the last 8.5 years but considering a move to Perth. What’s the pre approval process like in Aus? Broker vs direct to bank what would be your advice? Is the buying market as hot as rental market in Perth? 😃
I’ve just started having these videos come up on my feed and I can’t believe this is a thing. So many of us who built this country are homeless and suffering extreme mental health and yet there’s pages like this just offering up our country to move to. I am in SHOCK. When will these people get that there’s no where to live and why the hell should citizens be living in tents so foreigners can move here. It’s disgusting and I hope our government ends it asap to save our own!!! As a Vietnam veterans daughter.. safe to say my dad is appalled he lost his mind for this nonsense. I feel like I’ll never get my sons and I a proper home. We live in a caravan park. It’s so disheartening and depressing seeing these videos. It’s like a kick in the guts and the light fades on us ever having a home.

Could you tell us in which suburbs you bought your house pleas and more less price
One of your subscribers (means me) moved in Perth last June 🤣 could you share the sub name please ? Just curious 🧐
Why is the rental market so brutal here? Would it be easier in yhe UK?
❤❤
A word of warning, Australians always turn up at least 1 hour late, at least. Good luck.
cute mother and son vlog
WTF* is your house? What part of Perth,,? Assuming it is Perth ,((?)
Committing $1million of one's future earnings is a crime against the working class...
Perth is in the middle of nowhere.
Not true ,its on the far side of nowhere which means its as far away from dickheads as you can get . Stay away please .
Yep. Indian Ocean one side. Dessert the other.
Perth, the most beautiful, isolated capital City of the world... PERFECT
@@soulsistersam7 A good reply. Well said and fully understood.
@@wallywombat164 thanks Wally... appreciate the kind words.
Good stuff Mate.
G'day and love from OUR Perth 👍🙏❤️🐬🦘

Thanks for taking housing away from ACTUAL Australians who have lived here their entire lives and aren't just 5-minute imports.
