    • @PainFreeYou
      @PainFreeYou  Год назад

      Indifference is not about what you DO, it's a mindset. I'm not suggesting we torture ourselves to get well. I'm suggesting that there are three ways to respond to pain. 1. Freak out. Not recommended. 2. Calmly reassure ourselves that we are perfectly okay. 3. Indifference - literally and authentically don't care if you hurt or not. Indifference may not be possible for some depending on your understanding of what is causing the symptoms or pain and how intense it is. ruclips.net/video/KrNxMlfCNx8/видео.html

    I have a hard time grasping indifference as it seems like it’s suppressing emotions, but I’m ruled by very strong emotions which exacerbate my other symptoms leading to complete hopelessness. Hope that makes sense!

    • @PainFreeYou

      No - indifference needs to be authentic for it to help. It must be built on a solid foundation of knowledge of what is going on and that these concepts apply to you. For example sometimes I walk up the stairs when my minds occupied with something and when I get to the top I realise I’m not out of breath and I don’t have palpitations, it’s not until I realise I didn’t get them until they start. • @PainFreeYou

      It's tough to say. Sometimes the subconscious brain buys the message of safety indifference can convey. Thus symptoms shut off. Other times it isn't convinced. Thus symptoms stay on. Be as authentic in your indifference as possible and if not possible, focus on calm reassurance and neutralizing fear.

    Curious if you do anything physically to deal with your back problems. I believe I understand that it's important if I'm doing strengthening and stretching that I don't tell my brain it's going to fix the pain. I haven't had any symptom free days lately. Doesn't matter what I do physically, I am having pain in exactly the same areas and there's the fear that my hip OA can't be TMS. Especially when it is impossible to go up stairs without severe pain. Have you worked with anyone that has been told they need a hip replacement and they were able to live without pain? I have taken the tests you suggest. I just haven't found any success stories for severe hip OA. I don't want to get the surgery because I'm afraid that I'll still have issues after. I know, I'm still doubting and I still have fear. And that means I'm not going to be successful with the mind body approach. I'm trying, I really am. I need hope.

      I don't have back problems. I had TMS that created back pain and sciatica for 13 years. The back was never the problem. It was always the brain perceiving danger. Working out for overall health and wellness is fine. Working specific body parts that hurt keeps the brain believing the body is the issue.
