Ken, the tall African-American guy, is a terrific dancer and I think his height helps too in terms of how it looks. Smooth as butter. His partner Julia is really good too.
I really loved the move at 17:48 where the connection was kept I screamed it was so great to me
Thien and Carla absolutely killed their run. All the competitors were just astounding and even inspiring, would love to be a competitor one day🕺💃

Jessie and Linsley were the best I think. Cassie was real good too.
My favorite was Thien and Karla. Karla is just the best follower imo. Always strong expression and musicality with her. But I also think Jessie and Lindsy were amazing too, Jessie definitely seemed like one of the best leads in this competition. Imagine if Jessie and Karla get partnered, that'd be one hell of a dance

Omg Karla Anita Catana is in this!!! 😭 She’s amazing. She got an awesome partner too! I watch Karla and Ben dancing in Romania Open literally on repeat sometimes. She’s just so good!! I want to meet her and watch her dance in person.

so are these people that haven't danced before together? and getting the choice or they are regular dance couples..either way...great job to all..i have enjoyed watching!!!!!! i can only do limited east coast , could never get a handle on west coast...always admire a great dancer and IMO all on here are amazing :)

So in these competitions, do the dancers have access to the songs the DJ uses so they at least have a chance to familiarize themself with the songs first or is it totally random? If you know it you know it, if you dont you dont

So I recently got into watching dancing videos and this came up on my timeline. So is the concept of this competition they don't know their partner or song until the time they need to dance? If that's the case, it is insane how in sync some of these couples are
That's exactly right... They draw a random partner and have to improv together to whatever song they get.

The final of missed opportunities. Some men did not show their lady enough . Mia was best dancer, I liked Carla very much . There is something about Cassie.
If I had the money I’d go to every WCS competition I could possibly enter.

LA Resident Depends on how natural you are at dancing, how many years you’ve been dancing, and how much practice you put into it. It’s not easy, even for natural dancers. It’s a very physical dance, and the higher level dancers add even more athletics to the WCS than you’d see in a typical social dance.

LA Resident I do dance like this! I’m not quite as good as these couples, but I’d say I’m easily intermediate to advanced at WCS. Definitely not pro level though. 😂

Cool moves, nice comp, but overall somewhat flat for all star?
Like they cannot structure a dance completly on the spot to the music and their placement often times is not good for comp presentation. This here is more like social dancing with some (very) advanced patterns - I am missing that creative touch ... Most followers are clearly above the leaders skill level, but yeah that happens (not all tho!).
My favorite couple was the one with white tops and navy blue bottoms.

This is west coast swing music. Wcs goes with the time, and therefore changes with the music. It is not the same as traditional swing. Don't know why you think in a other way, but I am sorry that you can't enjoy this. In my opinion it is a lot of fun to dance to and also watch wcs with modern music.
I love this stuff except - the MC should realise it is not about him but the dancers. He needs to learn how to move the mic to the person speaking rather than relay their words or he runs the risk of being seen as a 'look at me' egotistical jerk! (Not that he is, of course.)

🤔 wellll... definitely not feeling it here either. & I am a person who loves to do the classic dances to modern beats - Charleston with some house music! Lindy with drum-n-bass! I'd think it might be easier to get pumped to compete with some music that actually matched the genre of the dances here though....
