Thank’s J Steel’s adventure…this permission wasn’t as productive as I thought it would be. If they hadn’t buried all the bricks from the burnt house in the backyard and crushed everything it would have been stellar. Plan to check out one of your latest soon…been running, but have enjoyed seeing the rugged Canada backcountry and top surface finds.

Was told a long time ago ,not to wash the inside of the bottle. Was told most bottle have traces of gold in them. Dug up a old cistern years ago on Sullivan Island S.C. And found over 600 bottles

Hey, Jerry, thanks for responding. I’d never heard of gold residue inside old bottles but will certainly keep that in mind moving forward. You hit the mother load when you unearthed 600 bottles. My best is 450 bottles (Bottles Galore video), sadly most of them had no lettering. Anyway, best of luck and keep digging...

@@relicrescueusa3803 we lived about 2 block from Ft Moultrie on Sullivan Island and my sister found a bottle out in the yard. (a flask) I would dig when the tide would come in and used a brush to get the bottles out. Found a couple of small cannon balls and some marble. I* know when we moved from there Dad company had a moving truck come and moves us. They wrap each bottle and put them in a boxes.(that how I know we found over 600. The only Bottle I have from that is a The Germania Brewing company from Charleston S.C. this was back in the early 70s and a bottle collector came and look at them before we moved and told us the newest bottle was 90 years old. I know there was a bunch of Blue, Dark green which was a 3 molded bottle. with a blown top. found lots of broken bottle too. I think Kyle Pretty might have a house where this was. Sorry so long. I have a sister that lives in Palatka and she share your video with me.

Jerry, at least you had a chance to experience a phenomenal find...not a lot of folks can make that claim.

Thank you...in a couple of weeks, I’ll post Part 1 of the excavation of a sunken tabby ruin (1879) in Satsuma, FL.

What is a sunken tabby ruin?

    • @relicrescueusa3803

@@stephenduffy5406 Hey Stephen, first, let me say thank you for watching. The sunken tabby foundation is talked about and researched my video where the thumbnail says, Mystery Bottle. In short, we believe it was a1880s cellar made from tabby and most likely used to make wine or beer. Tabby is a concrete like man-made material from shells, lime, and sand which is crushed and baked and then used to form walks. That’s the short answer. To learn more please check out the video. Again, thank you…

Ifnthe bottom of that flat iron plate was not round id say it was a grittle for a stove. My mom used ti cook on one over a wood burning stove.
