Thousands of Israelis demonstrated in Jerusalem near Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's residence on Thursday, demanding early elections and a deal to free Israeli captives in Gaza amid reports of a breakthrough in ceasefire talks.
US and Israeli officials report progress in the ceasefire negotiations, with a senior US official indicating a framework for a final agreement has been established following Hamas's latest response.

Let me get this straight. They want to have their hostages without doing anything in return. Meanwhile a ceasefire will call for ALL hostages back and an end to the killing, something they want to continue doing.

They have been holding this type of protest for a few months, but maybe they are not being told that the reason Hamas wont participate in hostage exchange is because Netanyahu won't agree to a permanent ceasefire, but Hamas has repeatedly claimed they will not participate unless Israel vows to a permanent ceasefire. The protestors never seem to be mentioning any awareness of this!!!

Maybe I'm very wrong but i think on the 7th October the Israeli government should have offered all Palestinian prisoners for all the hostages and no retaliation and then corrected all the errors they made that enabled Hamas to enter Israeli. I also believe all Israelis should have some serious weapons in their kibbutz.
