This is brief guide on everything you can do to help fps for Destiny 2. I apologize deeply if I'm stammering on words when talking I was pretty nervous making this video as it was actually me talking so I hope you all understand. NOTE: TAKE EVERYTHING IN THIS VIDEO WITH A GRAIN OF SALT ALL SYSTEMS/PC'S ARE DIFFERENT! ALSO THIS GAME IS HEAVILY NVIDIA FAVORED! At the end of the day your specs for your PC are going to matter the most for FPS regardless of "tweaks" or changing video settings in the game. Below I will list a more in depth guides from tweakers that I can vouch for Bios Tweaks and Windows OS Guides, ALL CREDIT TO THEM! If you do have a beast setup and still getting low frames within destiny 2 but fine in other games, as I said in the video a couple of times Destiny 2 Engine is absolutely horrible and needs a upgrade and its not your systems fault! Another thing to note if your frames get worse when new dlc's/seasons that means bungie didn't optimize or do anything to ensure frames are fine. We unfortunately have to deal with it. Look below for more information!
1. Make sure your pc doesn't have bloatware, too many overlays, and has a clean OS (Refer to Step 3 below)
2. SETUP YOUR BIOS SETTINGS (XMP) LOOK BELOW FOR A LINK ON WHAT TO DO AND EXPLANATION!

3. Please download @zoicware script from his Github has this will benefit your frames and a cleaner os will overall be great for FPS!

My pleasure!
Idk if i smoked too much but the desktop icon layout you have looks like a penguin holding a gun
I had to stare at that for a couple minutes to realize what you were talking about lol
PUT THE SKANTE DOWN BROTHER
Would all this stuff work for a HP pavilion laptop? Im a broke college freshmen and I just got this laptop and I wanted to see if I could play games on it since I wont be able to take my xbox with me to college😭 I got D2 working but it looks like shit. I’m not the best with computers and shit (which is something I plan on learning and getting better at) so any additional advice would be appreciated
hey! I actually had a really bad pc back when destiny 2 pc first launched and to be completely honest these tweaks can only get you so far only thing i’ll truly recommend is to lower render res as low as possible or to the point where it’s at a somewhat playable frame rate for you. you can also try lowering res to the lowest as possible you can if possible look up custom resolution utility and make a custom resolution that’s lower then destiny 2’s resolution which is 1280x720. Hopefully that helps!
at what percentage should you consider turning on reflex? i did your settings and and it did give a good boost!
but im not sure if i should turn it on? mine is at 37% usage atm
@@juice7244 if it’s constantly at 99% gpu usage leave reflex on if lower you can turn off reflex as it won’t do anything. so yeah you can keep it off!
@_SkoR ah i see, basically a last resort thing. Ok!
framedrops to 1fps every 5min + desync after this guide. Need to change it back sadly
All the guide was is to drop video settings and change config files so I don’t how why that would’ve been the case but thank you for watching!
Also having this problem, no clue what went wrong
instructions unclear fps too high
😂💪
W
You lost me at hdr creates input lag
It does on certain monitors
wrong
what is wrong about this video ?
this guy lost me on vsync off 😂 he doesn't know
uhm what? v sync is awful and causes extreme input lag if you don’t maintain the fps and destiny 2 you can never maintain a stable fps it’s always jumping on intense encounters where everyone is ability spamming etc. If you want to turn it on go for it but your here for a optimization video for this game not a video on how to increase input lag.
@@_SkoR read the blur busters article on vsync
@@randomroIIsAll I see is that VSync isn’t bad which is partially true if g sync is in the picture they also include RTSS but RTSS doesn’t work in Destiny 2 due to bungies anti cheat. As I said before this game has such a variable frame rate in which it’s never consistent from game mode to game mode which makes 0 sense to use VSYNC but I could see your point for a game that doesn’t hard drop frames like Destiny 2.
You need to read the article again, they also updated their stance and agree that g sync without v sync produces a similar result with minimal tearing, g sync with v sync will have slightly higher input latency in most scenarios as g sync with v sync is rarely properly implemented in monitors, if you did get lucky or chose a model with a g sync ultimate chip 2.0 which could actually support the entire refresh rate with g sync then you would certainly have a beautiful looking picture, however high fps without g sync or gsync without v sync is the best option for most people. if you want evidence of this go watch optimum tech reviews to see the advantages g sync and high refresh rates can get you.
Maybe dont play on a potato 😂
is that what you got from the word “optimization”
wanting to push more fps from optimizing your game doesn't mean you play on a ''potato''. Quit being a moron and have some common sense....
