Looks like they're just cashing in on that Holy Panda name. The switch is made by Gateron but had nothing to do with their "X" line of switches. No Halo stem or panda housing in sight. I think if they gave it a whole new name it wouldn't leave such a bad taste in the mouth, but as it stands it just feels like it's riding the OG Holy Panda's coat tails.
@@khaledbloushu3187 I lightly lube like a linear switch and ultralight lubing on the legs (like getting a bit of lube on the tip of my finger and rubbing the legs a bit). Makes the U4T's unbeatable, for me atleast.
This was the review I needed! They definitely seem to sound quite different from the Holy Pandas, so it's not exactly the sound I'm looking for to substitute that.
Honest review. Thanks so much! The comparison with the other switches was very very helpful. If these didn't match the original HP then I won't bother with them, I'll settle with Boba U4T.
I like this move to start using more aggressive return springs in switches. Should do a lot to eliminate the mushy feeling for those that have always preferred going linear because of it. This probably isn't THE switch but I look forward to seeing more switches taking this direction and the one the Epsilons from the previous vid took.
Aye I love ur content, keep the good work up man!! Also HyperX Pulsefire Haste WIRELESS came out (at least in Finland) so can u post a review on it asap? MUCH LOVE ❤️❤️
I think these are a really neat and unique new switch that suffers from the unfortunate side effect of its naming, it's as much a Holy Panda switch as the Mustang Mach E is a Mustang. Both great products with awful names that piggyback off of past successes for visibility.
Which is better original panda of these..ive never used any of em bever used a tactile either. Always used linear. Im using telious v2 right now love em. I wany a good thoc so which switch is best for that
Hey im currently building my custom keyboard and wanted to ask what switch is your favorite for playing valorant? Since you tested so many i really would be interested to know your opinion:)
Try taking the t1 housing and putting the og holy panda stem into them. It's like if Zealous and Holy Panda had a baby. You should make a video on that.
So holy panda vs these which is better I just want a good switch with good thock I like the thock sound. What I have now is good I have kbd fans mk3 laser pvd version its awesome with telious v2 lubed linears but they sound great nice thock. I've never used a tactile but I might wanna try
That thing on your right, it looks like cat's paw which wants to touch your keyboard but decides not too then again tries to touch you and don't do it Also og hp (and its counterparts) are still sounding better
The HPX's sound profile does not even have that signature long pole clack we are all accustomed to, to holy pandas. It's actually pretty underwhelming. It's great that they are improving on the essential characteristics of the holy panda, just wished that they kept that signature long pole which was definitely part of the frankenswitch's identity. If they truly wanted to make a true successor, they would have colored it similar. It just looks like a Tactile Gateron X with ink top housing at this point.
Just a tip when filming on the side when you type at 6:55, dunt set the camera at Autofocus. Set it as manual focus fixed at the set focal point. Thanks for the video, I am just a newbie learning about custom keyboards.
Am i mistaken or do the HPx sound a little sqieky. Love the OG ones but this ones are not for me. They are fine but the OG´s are just so much better sounding.
One thing to note on the sound test, regardless of switch, depending on the keyboard the keys H & G will sound different - even if you use the same switch. So unless we're getting comparisons from the same key, the sound signature comparison is not entirely accurate.
Have you tried the aflion pandas? I had been meaning to ask on one of your videos since you had tried out their iceberg switches. Saw those aflion pandas and have been hearing good things about all of their most recent linear switches; so I am interested in learning more about the aflion pandas. Would love to hear your thoughts on them :)
@@NugenEnigma I havent tried them! but i discussed with Jeff from Upgrade keyboards, he says they are amazing value - feel the same if not better than normal pandas if you spring swap to a slow spring. I'd join their discord and talk to him about them if you have any questions! There were others who replied to my questions saying only good things about them. But yeah the slow springs would be to add tactility. I'm thinking of grabbing them to do a review but i'd want to compare them to the original holy pandas.
@@coleydotmp4 Nice! I definitely will join their discord, but I'll probably pick up some to test anyways. They are already at a great price point for being a five pin tactile. If you do end up getting em and the holy pandas, I'll def be looking forward to that video!

Yeah it’s a completely new switch. Still prefer me the OG ones
Seems like U4T'S are still the GOAT, great content as usual BT!
U4Ts undefeated
Yup. I'm loving mine. Can't imagine switching ( No pun intended). The feel is 10/10 (sound is like an 7-8/10, but NBD for me).
What lubing technique do you guys use for u4ts? I never lubed tactile switches, and I want to try them out.

some say anubis and neapolitan ice cream are better than u4t?

Thank you for saving me some bread, even though it looks like they priced them accordingly. I'll keep thockin with the boba's. Great video as always!

U4Ts still supply an amazing price-for-performance ratio but I actually quite like how these look

Great analogy!
HEYY what keyboard and keycaps are you using they look very nice !! very good video by the way, go the information i needed !! got a sub
So this is a HP clone without the same long pole? This is basically a recolored T1 or zealios v2

May have to fuck with these. Typing on T1 Durock's and they're literally the favorite switch I've ever touched. And I'm a re-tooled Browns fan.

Would these have problems with Cherry profile caps? I bought these for a tkl along with some gmk caps and I wanna know if there'll be any interference

Sounds like best tacticals right now are Anubis or neopolitan ice cream..
anyone have any others?
I like that they tried to introduce something new but I personally prefer the Boba U4T over all of them.
Hey BT, not sure if it was asked already below and/or mentioned in your video (may have missed it) but how do you lube your HPX's ?
hey! I have a lubing guide on my channel. I’ve stuck to that method up until now. Hope this helps! ruclips.net/video/dc-ObF5zEGk/видео.html
U4T s are just amazing i mean for the price you payed is just an other level of tactile switch
What if you took a halo stem/pole and slapped it in the new HPX? I wonder what that would sound like?

yo Brandon you should take a look at the Boba U4Ts
That price is pretty high imo especially when there’s switches like kinetic labs Salmon switches. Great video though! Always enjoy your content BT
ohhh I love the intro music

Was really hoping the HPX was going to have the polished bottom house rails of the Gat X
I can tell the strong tactile bump of the OG Panda. Hmm
Fun fact mech 27 subtracted 6 from his name due to his recent refunds so now he's just 21
ok now frankenswitch the holy panda v1 and v2s together to get the v1.5
