  • Here's how I biked 334 miles from Pittsburgh, PA, to Washington, D.C. in 4 days via the Great Allegheny Passage and C&O Canal Towpath. I camped each night at designated campgrounds and took Amtrak for the return trip back to Pittsburgh.

The tunnels look too dark to ride safely, but you managed. Love the sound track!

Nice work! That’s crazy daily mileage but I understand your perspective. I love to challenge myself as well. I’ll be doing both trails here soon at the end of July but doing it in 6 days. (DC to Pittsburg) I’m training my ass off so it doesn’t affect me negatively. Great Video bro. Thx for sharing!👊

I have done these rides a couple times. 4 days is rolling along at a good pace. 5 days is better to see the sights along the way. If you like American history this ride is tops. Also, take time to hike the overlook at Harper’s Ferry. Do some fishing. Eat at the little local towns. I like west to east route because you end up in D.C. which has so much to see. Two tips- GAP is ok to ride on during the rain, but the C&O can become a quagmire. Bring a good headlight and bell.
