I just used my late 60s blue flower pyroceram with solid white lid, on top of my stove and did breaded chicken then poured over honey general sauce in a smaller casserole then used the same pyroceram to do a bag of frozen asian veggies to which I added a bit of soy sauce and sesame oil. All I did do however is make sure (because my old electric coil burner is screwy) that I did not have the burner above med low/medium. Couple cups rice cooked in my rice cooker and all was done. Dinners for the weekend DONE. Love my Corning this thing is great for top of stove.
I guess im asking randomly but does anybody know a trick to log back into an Instagram account..? I somehow forgot the login password. I would love any assistance you can offer me
@Edwin Roger thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site on google and I'm waiting for the hacking stuff now. I see it takes quite some time so I will get back to you later with my results.
K, couple things... Your Corningware is stove-top safe if it is completely smooth on the bottom, no scratchy, pottery edges. That is how to tell the good vintage stuff from the new. More than likely the new stuff will say not safe for stove-top. Second, the supposed chef can't pronounce "paella" WTF..? I have and use/love my Corningware and Visions cookware. I do find them better for more liquid applications on the stove; not so much for searing. It really is great and very versatile cookware. They're also great to use as serving dishes because they hold heat well.
@isolabella88 Paella! made kind of a botched quickie style paella first time, did it this year with seafood. I have to do my rice separately due to blah blah too long to go in to here but it turned out okay and I did simmer seafood with it. Friend said it looked like it would walk away (due to variety of seafood) Imagine that! I have not tried searing with the piece I own that is meant for that. Just used the one piece top of stove. OH I rem when I was young my mother having fits about not wanting to use corning WRONG and accidentally??? (HOW WOULD YOU NOT NOTICE IT ON TOP OF electric burner LOL) killing your corning on electric burner? What I am thinking of NOW though is can I use old (over 50 yrs!) corning / pyrex in a multi featured AIR FRYER OVEN (only using moderate air fryer temp perhaps) ANY IDEAS?
Cookware made from aluminum, copper or glass, including Pyrex will not work on its own. Pan needs a certain percentage of STEEL in it doesn't it? I have a portable burner and one of my great looking Cuisinartfry/saucepans DOES NOT WORK though when purchased was touted as a nice steel pan and IS magnetic ) I'm not happy about that at ALL. Was thinking small pyrex or corelle pieces could be used in AIR oven on moderate temps- Anyone tried it?
You can often find individual pieces of Corningware in second hand stores. It kind of fell out of fashion a couple decades ago. Don't really know why? Its very versatile
@@emiller9426 I used my square Harvest pattern - 70s? - casserole on air setting 325 degrees in counter top air fry, bake, popcorn rotisserie U name it oven. It seemed to do okay but I want to know more about expectations of results. I LIKE my old corning. Fun to use on a slow day in the kitchen, especially in the fall.
Elegent city!!!!!!! love it so much!

I would like to brown/sear the meat a little more before adding to other ingredients, especially if only in the oven ten minutes?
