I wish Five for Fighting was x10 more popular. They are the most inspiring band I know. Their songs send such a message. No matter what, they'll always be my favorite!
It became a reality. I'm listening to this song in Korea on the other side of the world 2022.

I first thought it was courage, then I thought it was wisdom. After 12+ years of listening to this, I think it's sacrifice. Sacrifice is the most intense, truest form of love, and it makes the world go 'round.
I don’t think anything can move the world without love. The rest is just a crossword puzzle to figure out everything is just out of place, only thing that ties the human spirit is love.

This is probably the most underrated song in the world.
I'd say you vastly underrate the Beatles lyrics. Hey I do love this song and thinks it's a very cool composition but one of my favorite Lennon lines from Strawberry Fields is about him thinking he's either a genius or an idiot for having this own thoughts in his head:

A lot of Beatle's songs (post mop top era) are filled with deep thoughts like this.

It is April in 2022. April is Autism Awareness month. I have twin boys now 18 yrs old and one diagnosed with Autism on August 13, 2007, a day I will never forget shortly after they turned 4 yrs old. I found this song via a video about a parent's child that has autism, about a year after our son's DX. I have loved this song for over 12 yrs now. This song means so much to so many in so many ways.
I cannot get through this song without crying. He (John Ondrasik) just makes me want to be better...at life.
I lost my 13 year old daughter 2 years ago. This song goes some way to giving me hope for her twin sister.

One of the best songwriters currently active. His lyrics are thought provoking and meaningful. Artists like 'five for fighting' are almost impossible to come by today.
Songs like this should be the top songs today. I know this is older and it once was one of the top songs, but wtf happened? Pop music today is such trash. And I love all types of music.

I married my husband in 2006 and this was our first dance song. I feel it is just as relevant today as it was at that time. I just love Five for Fighting and the music that they put out to push you to try and help change the world we are in today. It is extremely thought provoking as you listen to the lyrics.

Years ago when my daughter was graduating from middle school, she had an assignment in which she was asked to find a song that would be a "message" to the upcoming class. We searched through videos on TV. When we came across this one, I thought, "I didn't they weren't allowed to write songs this thoughtful anymore!" My daughter chose it hands down.
It definitely is an uplifting song on those days you question what is going on in life. Very good song.

This video should go viral all over again, it really asks the right question for what we all need to accept after the election. one of the few music videos that my mother Loretta Thomson starred in this 7 years ago she purchases the flowers, and the grandmother with the grandkids arround the Christmas tree. At my school it’s been a tradition for all of 6th grade to sing this song at 6th grade graduation to middle school... it’s always emotional... we added our own school twist to the lyrics... we just recorded our version of it today and it’s gonna play at the promotion...
I want a world where I am free to be me without judgments nor backlash. And I wish I can hold back my own judgments and ego...but alas...we are still just mere humans. Imperfectly perfect.

julie nobbs I thought alot about that sort of world and I concluded that although saftey is desirable, it is struggle and resistance that make it desirable, and so I think this sort of world is perfect. and the safety of our children is only achieved by teaching them how to choose it... I always interpreted the opening lines, "a package full of wishes", "a time machine", "a magic wand", "a globe made out of gold", to mean a computer, specifically the ability to access the internet. It is through this extraordinary device that we are making and remaking the world as we desire.

But bands like Five for fighting and all of them, they are down to earth. they play their music because they know what its like to go through these situations that we as people go through everyday.
