Montauk Point Lighthouse - Revetment Update - April 13, 2022

Progress continues on the revetment work at Montauk Point. According to inside sources the contractor is estimating completion to be on schedule.
Interesting Fact: The Montauk Point Lighthouse Tower and connected structures have all been wired with numerous vibration sensors to constantly monitor the risk of structural damage to the buildings from vibrations in the ground created by the boulders being dropped and shifted into place, which can weigh up to 25 TONS EACH!!!

I do wish they would open up the WW2 tower and move storage elsewhere. I cannot wait to see the lighthouse when work is complete!
