I feel like with brands like the ordinary and elf making effective skincare more affordable, there is no excuse to spend more on the same thing unless you have the disposable income and appreciate a luxury experience. Otherwise, good formulas exist everywhere, and most of the changes you’ll see in your skin are your diet and prescription actives. Invest in those, not basic skincare.
Yes please!!!! And please some non-comedogenic options (I know it’s a subjective term but just keeping it in mind pls it does help point me in the right direction)
Hi Abbey! My friend recently introduced me to the DermaGlowy Red Light Therapy Mask and it's truly amazing! I've been using it for 3 months now and I am blown away by the results.
You are so tactful girl! Great idea to do that intro and ur so right- it’s all subjective! I watched a skin care video that was labeled something like budget friendly and there were comments of people that seemed to be upset saying this isn’t budget friendly etc etc. Anyway I really love how tactful u are. I see it in your videos, especially the ones that might upset people, you always give an explanation or disclaimer
Agree on most of your points. I also want to add, as an eczema sufferer that eczema specific skincare is MUCH better at the drugstore. This stems from the fact that many drugstore brands are owned by big pharma conglomerates that make topical drugs as well and have a lot of experience in the area. For example Cetraphil is owned by Galderma while Aveeno and Neutrogena are both owned by Johnson & Johnson.
@Alexandra Law yes! Favorite moisturizers: 1. Aveeno Eczema Therapy Rescue Relief Therapy Gel Cream (it has 2% colloidal oatmeal !! & is a pleasant light texture) 2. Cerave Eczema Relief Creamy Oil (it's actually a cream with 1% Colloidal Oatmeal , Allantoin and ceramides, heavy but very Softening) 3. Eucerin Daily Hydration Gel Cream - super lightweight, super hydrating doesn't break me out and comes in a 12 oz jar ! Amazing price per ounce for a gel cream! Favorite cleanserrs: 1. Ceave Soothing Body Wash - it's actually a Cleansing oil that has emulsifiers and rinses well but doesn't strip the skin 2. Eucerin Skin Calming Body Wash - vey similar to the cerave one, it's cheaper but harder to find (Walgreens usually has it)
When I was in my 20’s in the 90’s eye cream was really really really important. I am still old school but when I hang out with younger ladies aka daughters and nieces the new trend is to bring your face products up to your eyes. I can’t wrap my head around this but I will try to go there. Thank you for this video. FYI, I have never ever used expensive cleansers like ever. I will splurge but not on cleansers. My game changer in my 40’s was the double cleanse. Wow. My skin up levelled after that.
Paula’s Choice is my perfect low-medium spend. If you have an account with them, it’s no extra cost and you do get a lot of their products + gifts for 20%+ off pretty much every single time. I finally feel like I found what works for me. I’d say the only “splurge” product I have is my Elta MD sunscreen. As for tretinoin, one could argue that’s a splurge as well. I used to be an all luxury brand everything and it simply wasn’t sustainable. My skin has never looked better!
Peach slices products have been my favorite lately. It really made a big improvement to my rosecea cheeks and texture. The snail mucin products and the anti redness products are great!
Yes, please make a video on devices and red light therapy comparisons especially for anti aging and hyperpigmentation. Thank you for all that you do to provide great quality, informative videos. You have been an amazing resource!!
Came here to say that the new Neutrogena Purescreen+ mineral tinted sunscreens are a winner for me! I can obviously only speak to results on my skin tone, but the Light shade is finally something that’s not too warm/deep and blends right in. I wouldn’t say that it’s the kind of tint that gives coverage, but I do find it does some evening/blurring and leaves a nice glow on the skin.
I have NEVER seen her mention a Neutrogena product. I feel like the have some super amazing stuff -- their fragrance free Retinol Cream is a game changer IMO, their Hydro Boost Moisturizer is magical, and they have a super interesting 9% AHA Liquid Exfoliant that I use a few times a month and I am always mind blown after I use it, OH, and their 20% Ascorbic Acid capsules are *chefs kiss* and I love that they are in capsules so they don't have issues with oxidization! And even in the beauty categories they have a SPF Lip Balm that is to die for and their Hydro Boost Face Tint is best in class! Going to have to try their mineral tinted sunscreen now! Thanks for the rec!!
@Kara Thomas ..I have been using the nuetragina vit c capsules for a while now but one thing that bothers me is that it leaves a greasy or oily feeling on my face.. and after a few min it actually gets worse! So you have that problem as well?? She did post a picture in this video of Neutrogena hydro boost face wash.
@@sarahbrack287 Yes! That totally happens to me too. I have super dry skin, so it's probably strange, but I like the oily feeling they leave. That being said, I only use them around 2 times a week in the morning and I just use them on days where I won't be wearing makeup and I will use the La Roche Posay Double Repair Matte Face Moisturizer with them to help with some of the oil. I need to try that face wash she mentioned. Thanks!!!
Cerave and neutrogena have been changing the game with their drugstore exfoliants. They’ve made AHAs more widely available, and BHAs more balanced toward replenishing than stripping. I would argue one should have more confidence in these large drug store brands than in indie or old fashioned brands available in beauty stores, which put more money into marketing and user experience than research (generally)
I am slowly working through all of your videos as I work from home and this one my gosh - baby ELSIE stop how cute and your hair in this video too is sooooo pretty. Love this style on you.
Yes do best of drugstore edition.😊 I use Huggies un scented baby wipes to remove my makeup (yes not the best I know I know) use oil of Olay regenerist line for cleanser, serum and moisturizer. Works great for me. Not pricey but not cheap. Available at any drugstore. They also have a vitamin C line. Haven’t tried it but would love to know how it stacks up to pricier brands. Keep up the great work. Have found some great products thanks to ur channel ❤
Hi Abbey, Yes, please do a series on the "Best of Drugstore" and I would appreciate if you could include the best fragrance-free options in each category for those of us who are sensitve skinned, rosacea-prone & acne-prone. Thank you so much!
Love your videos! Speaking of tinted sunscreens at the store, I have been seeing neutrogena is releasing 4 shades if a tinted physical sunscreen. Please Please please review this product and I'd love to know how shades compare to cerave's tinted sunscreen.
Thanks for doing this video, Abbey! I loved your hair care spend/splurge and was looking forward to this one. I'd love to have you do a best drugstore moisturizers video. I have dry skin and I've had a hard time finding an affordable night moisturizer I really love. Thank you, and have an awesome weekend! 💞
Hi Abby! Thanks for this video! I recently watched a video from Dr. Dray on Neutrogena’s Pureskin tinted sunscreen, which comes in 4 shades. I would love to hear your take on it.
I'm retired and on a limited income so your opinion on Best Of Drug Store items would be very much appreciated. I'm a new subscriber and I am hooked on your channel bc you research and explain everything so easy to understand. Thank you for all your hard work bringing us these informative videos 💜💙💚💛🧡
I'm gonna be honest, I've been using La Roche posay, CeraVe, etc for moisturizer (for the face) . But, I recently tried the Laneige cica moisturizer...what a difference. Now, I do have really dry skin so maybe that's why, but Dr Sam Ellis recommended this cream and it's awesome! It is 45 dollars 😔 but it lasts forever! For the body; however, nothing beats Eucerin for me❤️
I have 3 prescription topicals, so almost by necessity I find that I use more affordable products for the other steps in order to not break my budget. On the plus side, my prescriptions have been very effective and I find I do not need additional steps beyond cleansing, moisturizing and SPF so I do save money there.
I agree. I am struggling to find an SPF situation I can use and have lip liner and lipstick dtay on whether the SPF is in a balm under or in the lipstick/gloss itself.
I have a mix of high-ish and drugstore. I love Avene, Vichy, and LaRoche-Posay, but I have found some absolute gems from The Ordinary, Byoma, e.l.f., and Beauty Bay’s house brand.
Thank you for another great video 😊 Yes please another video on what are the best facial tools that actually work & worth buying! Also do another video on best drugstore products by category!
On asian sunscreens, I recommend trying the Skin1004 hylau-cica spf if you haven’t! It’s my current favorite spf For facial sprays, tower 28 sos spray has been life changing for me
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE make a video just on drugstore products you would consider being good quality/a dupe for highly priced products in each category like your face, hair, body etc. Thank you for your amazing videos! You truly inspire me and motivated me to take better care of my skin and hair so before I look to buy any product, I see what your opinion is on it lol. My boyfriend gets so annoyed but I NEED my daily dosage of Abby Yung. Thank you for simply being you, you are amazing and I love the freaking heck out of you!!
Hey Abbey and little Elsie❤️ would you consider doing a review of good paddle brushes/round brushes for straight blow out? So glad you're doing better!
You videos are so informative. I always look forward to your releases and love sharing what I learn with friends and family. Yes, please do a video comparison on led devices like the face masks you mentioned, tools and panels. I would love to get your expert advice on how effective they all are.
Would totally love to see a video in the future about different devices, especially LED and microcurrent devices. I have the Omnilux Contour LED mask and even in the short week I've been using it, I have definitely noticed an improvement in my skin. The Nuface is next on my list of pricey skincare gadgets to try. Would love to see your thoughts on them.
For exfoliant - personally, I already find TO's exfoliants good enough to use. They tell you the exact % strength of acid is in it which is all I really need from an exfoliant anyways. I also find that expensive exfoliants contain random antioxidants that might not be suitable under such a low pH anyways (cannot confirm this, but I'd just rather layer another antioxidant serum after an exfoliant dries out on my skin first to be sure). But it's really all a personal choice, as you said :p My splurges are definitely towards moisturizers and cocktail serums, though.
Hey abbey! Would love to see a video on different skincare devices. I have the same led mask as you do and you’re right they bring great results and worth the splurge. Thanks for the info & clarity from your video. Ps puppy is adorable :)
Omg Abbey! You’ve got to try the new Neutrogena tinted spf with 6 shades and it’s water resistant and isn’t orange and suits almost every skin tone and is a finally a drugstore one that is good. Watch Dr.Drays new video on it! 🎉
Yes to all the videos ideas you mentioned here! LOL I tend to not splurge much on any products because my budget doesn't really allow it! If I do splurge on something, I put a lot of thought and research into it before I actually purchase because I need to work out or I'll feel bad for wasting the money.
I rarely splurge on anything but I love Tatcha’s dewy cream. It is so expensive but it works better than any moisturizer I have tried. I just love the experience if using it. Their silk sunscreen is amazing, too, but it is ungodly expensive as well and not a regular in my routine.
@lisarauschenbach9959 it has helped even my entire skin tone and I didn’t even know a moisturizer could do that. Have you tried their other moisturizers? I have only bought the dewy cream but wonder if the others are as good. I use the rice face cleanser and it is also amazing.
Really enjoyed this video! Really would love to watch all videos of "the best of drug stores" for each category listed in this video. Love how thorough you are😸
Yes! Drugstore affordable skincare video would be great!! Love your channel!! 💞 I just started using tretinoin, is it safe to use LED mask or will my skin be too sensitive?
So much h comes down to formulations and exactly what ingredient quality is in the product. Example yes there are cheap hyaluronic acids then there are some with lower molecular weights and a multiple types of HA That are better as they penetrate the thick dermis much better I use a ton of K products and indie brands like Maelove Stratia and dermalure.
Great video and I love seeing your new puppy. Yes, I'd like to hear about all drugstore categories. I'd also like to hear about vitamin c products. Do they have to have a proper ph balance to be effective?
Getting a sunstick and applying it over makeup > tinted spf. There’s so many out there, my favorite is Tocobo - it’s formulated with a translucent powder that helps give a non-greasy finish without making you matte.
I feel like with brands like the ordinary and elf making effective skincare more affordable, there is no excuse to spend more on the same thing unless you have the disposable income and appreciate a luxury experience. Shit dawg you right💁♀️💁♀️👍
Elf is affordable and cruelty free. I love everything they make and I am going to get their sunscreen.
@@shaunaburton7136 I just started using Elf’s new Glow tinted sunscreen and LOVE IT. And I’m oily skin! I 💯 agree. Elf is GREAT
I've heard elf skincare is not that good. It causes breakouts
Yes please, affordable, drugstore skincare, each category, or a couple great ones in each category. Thank you.
Agreed
Yes please!!!! And please some non-comedogenic options (I know it’s a subjective term but just keeping it in mind pls it does help point me in the right direction)

I totally agree, great skincare tools at an affordable price.
I want to see the best at the drugstore every category! Especially moisturizers that contain helpful ingredients like ceramides etc.
Would LOVE a best of drugstore in every category!!! Seriously love your videos so much. So informative and fun. Thank you for doing what you do!

Thanks for the recommendations.
Cetaphil Eczema Restoraderm Soothing Moisturizer (pump bottle) is amazing….really saved my neck this Winter….& it’s usually less than $20!
Would love an updated dedicated video on exfoliants and products you recommend based on skin concerns/types
Loved the video, thank you, Abbey. And Yes!! Please!! Best of the drugstore!

Omg Abbey! You’ve got to try the new Neutrogena tinted spf with 6 shades and it’s water resistant and isn’t orange and suits almost every skin tone and is a finally a drugstore one that is good. Watch Dr.Drays new video on it! 🎉
Could you do a video for postpartum hair loss solutions/tips?
You should try Neutrogena mineral UV-tint sunscreen. Loving it so far and it comes in 4 different shades. Light works perfectly for me.
Omg Abbey that lip combo is 🔥🔥🔥
Hi Abbey ❤, These are such great categories to do and it's very helpful 😘. Have a lovely weekend 💕!
Yes to both the drugstore best of and devices videos!
I would love to see your opinions on more LED devices. I keep getting ads for the Solawave red light wand and really want to try it
Absolutely stunning! Happy weekend, Abbey!❤
Yes to all the videos ideas you mentioned here! LOL I tend to not splurge much on any products because my budget doesn't really allow it! If I do splurge on something, I put a lot of thought and research into it before I actually purchase because I need to work out or I'll feel bad for wasting the money.
Best in each category at the drugstore, YES!!
I would love to see your favorite affordable & high end product in each category!
Ooh another Abbey video! Yay!
Please suggest where can be buy Tretinoin and Benzoyl Peroxide without any prescription.
Please share with us all your thoughts about led devices🥰🥰
Yes to “Best of Drugstore moisturizers”!
I rarely splurge on anything but I love Tatcha’s dewy cream. It is so expensive but it works better than any moisturizer I have tried. I just love the experience if using it. Their silk sunscreen is amazing, too, but it is ungodly expensive as well and not a regular in my routine.
Same!! I love Tatcha and find it worth it for me. I love everything about the experience of Tatcha Dewy Skin Cream.
@lisarauschenbach9959 it has helped even my entire skin tone and I didn’t even know a moisturizer could do that. Have you tried their other moisturizers? I have only bought the dewy cream but wonder if the others are as good. I use the rice face cleanser and it is also amazing.
Yessss definitely do the best of drug store for every category!!!
Really enjoyed this video! Really would love to watch all videos of "the best of drug stores" for each category listed in this video. Love how thorough you are😸
You should try and review ITK’s duo eye cream! Super affordable for an a.m and P.m cream. I really love their eye cream!
Where are the links to products?
hi, what is the blush that are you using in this video? and bronze
Yes! Drugstore affordable skincare video would be great!! Love your channel!! 💞

So much h comes down to formulations and exactly what ingredient quality is in the product. Example yes there are cheap hyaluronic acids then there are some with lower molecular weights and a multiple types of HA That are better as they penetrate the thick dermis much better
I use a ton of K products and indie brands like Maelove Stratia and dermalure.
Great video and I love seeing your new puppy. Yes, I'd like to hear about all drugstore categories. I'd also like to hear about vitamin c products. Do they have to have a proper ph balance to be effective?
I love how you suggest products that are within a reasonable price range. Most skincare influencers dont do that.
The surprise puppy pop in 😍🐕 ❤ 🐶
YES BEST OF DRUG STORE!! 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳
Abbey I’d love to see more chit chat get ready with my style videos. ❤
Best of Drugstore in every category video-that would be great.
Getting a sunstick and applying it over makeup > tinted spf. There’s so many out there, my favorite is Tocobo - it’s formulated with a translucent powder that helps give a non-greasy finish without making you matte.
I’ve been curious ab the Tocobo stick but doesn’t it swipe your makeup around?
I am also a facial mist girlie.. I treated myself to the Tula one and I am obsessed. Have you ever tried a rosewater mist?
Hi Abby. I noticed that you don’t talk about growth factor serums. Can you please talk about that?
Video on skin tools please 😁
