I found a way to add an auxiliary input since I have the Sirius XM radio module already installed on my car from the dealer.
    INSTRUCTIONS:
Remove the panel to the right of the driver's footwell by unscrewing the single Torx 25 head. behind that panel and toward the front right side of the footwell you should find a bundle of wires and almost directly under the climate control system on the floor you should see the XM radio module resting.
Just unplug everything from the XM radio module and remove the unit from the carpet held down by sticky tape.
There are two RCA outputs from the XM radio that go to a 3.5 mm Jack that is plugged into the car. That 3.5 mm Jack is an effective auxiliary input for the radio / stereo. No programming required!
I did tried to listen to music initially by plugging in a standard 3.5 mm male to male connector but the audio only worked in the two front speakers, so I bought a female RCA connector that that converted to a 3.5 mm Jack and I connected that to the original mail to 3.5 mm connector. Basically you'll have a 3.5 mm Jack that splits to left and right male RCA connectors then connect those male RCA connectors to the female RCA connectors which converts it back into a 3.5 mm Jack.
I now have full stereo sound without any aftermarket upgrades for taking anything apart permanently or programming anything.
You can access the auxiliary input by going to your CD player settings and changing the input from CDX to AUX.

Thank you for the idea! I added an adapter for a usb-c, as my phone doesn't have a rca jack.

Theres a kit you connect behind your radio, however you need to activate it with a tech2

Correct! This option was less expensive and required no programming if you had the XM radio already installed.

I have a 2004 Saab 9-3 vector, went out and removed that panel but no rats nest of wires nor black box of radio to be found. Any idea where it could be hiding?

      Does it have satellite radio?

      @@rhynecars Ah, probably no :/
Seems like the only ways to add bluetooth for just my model is way expensive, doesn't have AUX so I can't hijack that, it's the ISM 1 basic radio. No cd changer in the back or control box in the trunk either.
At this point I'm figuring the easiest way is just finding where the ampliefiers are, ripping them out and replacing them with ones that have line in x)

@@JDoawp before you tear into it, you may want to explore putting a 2007 factory infotainment in, they have factory aux inputs.
