Really been enjoying GoT, refreshing change of pace and absolutely gorgeous art direction/immaculate vibes. It's not perfect, I have some gripes. But a great game start to finish, and the duels are just peak cinema

I always love seeing the more variety vids you post. You surprised me with your aptitude in GoW, For Honor, Vermintide, etc. So to see you include your impressive skills in a single-player title like Ghost is such a treat! Looking forward to what else you got cooking.

GoT is very cinematic! By a quirk of the algorithm, I just watched a video of someone get a 38 win streak on Hellish Quart last night and the fighters in GoT surviving slashes and stabs suddenly felt so jarring!
haha yeah I get what you mean, Hellish Quart is a really unique game. These Duels would not really feel like boss battles or "legendary" if you could just dodge one attack then one shot them though. I typically dont like spongy enemies in games like this, but I think its fitting for the important duels and Mongol Commanders, and it gives you more time to set up combos and stance switch/express some skill

That's the Ghost of Sparta armor from Iki Island expansion. There's a special variant of Ghost armor based on Shadows of the Colossus, a variant of Tadayori's armor based on Horizon Zero Dawn, a Kratos/God of War inspired Sakai armor variant, and I think one more. all of them are Playstation classics
duels on iki island are fun
I played Ghost on the hard mode because the game is very simple and i liked the chellenge
The only point that i didnt like in the game was the dueling
You get minimal tells and the opponent just spams attacks
I couldnt beat the final duel so i put it on easy and it was so cathartic
Other than that it is probably one of the few open world games i actually liked
Imagine beating up a blind dude, for shame milkandcookies
One thing that bugs me about games like this and Sekiro is the amount of blows that should be fatal throughout a fight. There should be a system where blocks and parries are slightly more generous but the actual hits are brutal. I think it would be more cinematic anyway

most enemies in the game are 1-3 hit kills, even less on Lethal Difficulty where basically everything is a 1 shot. But these Duels are basically boss battles vs. Legendary ronin and heavily armored Mongol Commanders. I dont know of any game where bosses die in only 1-3 hits, them being tankier than the regulars kind of just comes with the territory
@@milkandcookiesTWyou could still have a tankier boss that doesn’t feel like a lump with a huge health bar. Having better armour and localised damage would make the player have to remove the armour plates and cripple limbs to weaken an enemy. Similar to the robots in Horizon: Zero Dawn or Battlefleet Gothic: Armada.
It always feels odd that there is no loss of functionality when the enemy or player have lost 99.9%of their health.
@@maxpower3990 yeah i feel ya. looks like thats the direction AC Shadows is going, armor that strips off as it takes damage. so far the close combat animations look much jankier than GoT though, not sold on it yet

You can tell they really wanted this game to be either the genpei war or the sengoku period instead. If this was the mongol invasion then the primary weapon would be the naginata, yumi and you wouldn’t want to touch grass.(dismount)
It’s still a fun game
hoping in ghost 2 they add some new primary weapons. naginata and odachi at a minimum
@@milkandcookiesTW Thanks for replying, I feel very honored Cookies senpai. If they do Ghosts 2, as in Mongol invasion, then they really need to do a Mongol invasion of Japan; mounted archers vs mounted archers. Apparently (I wouldn't really know) the Mongol force was comprised of Chinese and Korean foot fodder led by Mongol and maybe even Turkic or Arabic mounted archers. If they're going to do hand to hand combat with dueling as the main lure, it may as well be a different time period. Here's hoping!
