- In this video I will show you how did we build our wooden lean-to pergola is our garden with 10mm polycarbonate sheet roof and treated wooden structure and with an inflatable hot tub for both the hot summer and cold winter time. It is not a how to build step by step video more to show what we have done for ourselves (DIY) but will try to show most of the accessories and elements we used during the building. Happy Watching 😊

Thank you for sharing, I want to so somthing similar down the side of my house, 2.4m wide and about 4-5m long. I'm not done any big projects like this before, but seemed you had already preordered everything ready which was good. I usually spend my day going to Screwfix every 10 minutes for a new tool or item I have missed. lol.
Love the fixings through the roof panels😂
Love it
do you not need planning permmision since it's so close to your property's boundary?
GREAT PROJECT! can i make a similar one? :)
greetings from Mexico
Really good job 👍🏻 thanks for sharing and giving us inspiration
Great video, what size wood did you use for the roof? Thanks
Great build David. I always wondered how someone would tap those top of that snapdown joining bar in the middle, without crushing the polycarbonate roofing sheet underneath. Did your friend just use a few 2x4's as cross support to do that ?
Excellent, built something similar. I have outdoor cinema to finish it off. Projector from amazon with free screen 70 euros. Kids love it
Hiya was wondering does a lean to have to be attached to the house can it not be a free standing lean to right next to the house or is that not ideal. Great work perfect
I’m curious about the method used to attach the ledger board to the existing structure. Did you screw into the studs and door headers? Or are you relying on adhesive?
Nice one 👍
Just what I need. I’ll fire over my address and you can come and build me one👍👍
Brilliant job
Looks great, can I ask where you got your curtains from please?
Great video. Very helpful.
Can you tell me what the drop was from back to front for water runoff? Did you cut your 2x4 notches to match the angle for the runoff or just go square?
Nice, could do with spotlights but none the less great job. Well done!
Hi David if you dont mind me asking where did you get the curtains ??
Great job, can i ask did the slabs crack at all?
Are you able to give a rough idea on material costs?
Finished article looks great. You have a new follower!
@@davidscrafting8860 oh really? What were the big ticket items?
Great project ,well done with the video .May I ask where did you get the curtains from?
Looks great how much would it cost to pay someone to build this for me?
Looks good. What type of wood did you use?
Great video could tell me where you bought the sheets from please?
Excellent video ! I'm about to start the exact same project so may end up using this as a step by step tutorial lol
1 question though! What's the reason you sand the cut-outs? Would have thought just the jigsaws cut would have been square enough ?
Well just finished mine! and almost step by step followed you and made a very strong .... canopy, gazebo, pergola? Not sure what to call it lol but either way I've walked on top of it so yes very strong! thankyou so much for taking the time to video each step!
Only difference I did was, as seen in your video at 13.36 above the curtain I put a beam in at curtain hight and filled in the gap with polycarbonate sheet! Just for total screened privacy when we want it.
Great job there lads, loved the angle grinder for the panel cuts!
Be interested how wobbly it gets over the years with those screw fixings? A few carriage bolts here and there can work wonders 😜
Keep an eye on the joist hangers aswell as the screw heads tend to snap off under tension.
I dont mean to be off topic but does someone know a tool to log back into an Instagram account..?
I somehow forgot the login password. I would love any tricks you can offer me.
@Caspian Eliseo instablaster :)
@Israel Jamison Thanks for your reply. I got to the site on google and Im trying it out atm.
I see it takes quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.
@Israel Jamison It did the trick and I now got access to my account again. I am so happy:D
Thanks so much you saved my ass!
@Caspian Eliseo Happy to help :D
What kind of panels were those
Fantastic job! Did you need planning permission for this? Thinking of doing something similar
You would need to check with your local council as different areas have different rules but generally timber builds fall into "temporary structures " so as long as it dosent block anyone's view and it's below 2.5meters at the highest point you should be fine
@@gavinrichardson3918 within 2m of a boundary requires planning permission if it’s 2.5m heigh
What size were your roof sheets
Do you mind me asking how much in total this cost to build please? It’s fabulous, just what I would love 💕 in my garden . Thanks 😊
@@davidscrafting8860 it’s absolutely brilliant!
I will be constructing one next year, but not using that wood stain. Hopeless stuff
Hi, Do you need planning permission for this?
@@davidscrafting8860 thanks
UK. Planning permission is required for a 2.5m heigh pergola within 2m of the boundary.
