  • Alex Clare is a British singer and songwriter known for his soulful voice and fusion of genres including soul, rock, and electronic music. He gained widespread recognition with his 2011 hit single "Too Close," which reached international success and earned him a BRIT Award nomination.
He has been friends with and grew as an artist alongside Adele, Amy Winehouse, Mumford & Sons, Florence and the Machine, Bastille's Dan Smith and more.
Alex is notable for a significant personal decision-he embraced Orthodox Judaism, a commitment that led him to make substantial lifestyle changes. His journey into Orthodox Judaism involved substantial personal sacrifices and adjustments to align with his newfound religious beliefs.
Despite the challenges, this aspect of Alex's life showcases a depth and complexity to his identity beyond his music career, contributing to a multifaceted understanding of Alex Clare as both an artist and an individual with a rich personal journey.

Very nice interview. I met Alex in Ottawa in 2013 when I was also trying to become a musician. He was a wonderful person who took time to hear about my journey even though it was right before he was going on stage. Amazing man, all the best!

@Living Lchaim - I think you have a third type of audience: Baalei Tshuva who are not ashamed of their roots, and loved and were moved and influenced by Alex' and Amy's and Adele's music. And who now are excited to see that Alex and some of your other guests share our now-frum life and love to listen how their got there! Sharing this with all my fellow Baal Tshuva friends!

      @cohenlabe1 5 месяцев назад +1

This is what I got (source to be private for now)
      (Verse 1)
In the silence of the night
      There's a feeling I can't fight
It wraps around me like a vine
      This little anxiety of mine
      (Chorus)
But I'll hold on, hold tight
Take a breath, I'll be alright
I won't let this feeling define
      This little anxiety of mine
      (Verse 2)
It creeps in when I'm alone
      Whispers things that I've outgrown
But I'll find the strength inside
To push back and take back what's mine
      (Chorus)
      I'll hold on, hold tight
Take a breath, I'll be alright
I won't let this feeling define
      This little anxiety of mine
      (Bridge)
I'll face it head on, I'll take control
I won't let it swallow me whole
I'll rise above and leave it behind
      This little anxiety of mine
      (Chorus)
      I'll hold on, hold tight
Take a breath, I'll be alright
I won't let this feeling define
      This little anxiety of mine
      (Outro)
This little anxiety, I'll leave it behind
I'll find peace, I'll ease my mind
      This little anxiety of mine.

Love your music! If you be so kind, could you please make song about the happy days for the Jewish people, which Torah says: the future days, when Moshiach ben David comes. Because every Jewish man and every Jewish woman wants peace in the world, so that it will be no hatred and oppression of the people of Israel. And G-D promised to all Israel that He will make such reality, may it will be speedily in our days! Thank you very much for uplifting the spirit of the people of Israel!

Shalom Alex, from one of your neighbours here in Mizcarit Moshe. Want to share with you what happened here on 7th October. In the afternoon, I heard loud singing outside our home, just outside Shirizly street by Agrippas and went out to see, The young men from Bet Shmuel on Shimron street, were out with a couple of Torahs, dancing and singing.. Took photos of them, this was a once in a lifetime situation which had to be recorded. There are no adequate words to describe the dancing men and the fact we all knew what had happened, the terrible attack. I was so proud of them not fearing anything and going into the street to celebrate Torah.

We Catholics love the Jews! Having gone to Catholic school myself I found his comments about Catholicism confusing, and assume the program at his school must have not been on point. Catholicism has a strong intellectual tradition, marked by theologians and philosophers like St. Augustine, St. Thomas Aquinas, and others. This tradition has significantly contributed to the development of Western thought and theology. ☮️

And the Catholic Church is known for its extensive charitable works, including hospitals, SCHOOLS, and relief organizations. There is a commitment to serving the needy and alleviating suffering not found as much as in other religions. I hope the guest appreciates his Catholic schooling.
