@@retchedaugustine1456 So far I like it! I've lived here 3 months, and its great. So far everyone that I've met has been really nice (except for this one weirdo that tried acting too familiar with me right away and asking me to borrow money), and everything is so close by and convenient. Also downtown is very gorgeous part of town. There still some places I want to explore like the park near my apartment and just the town in general, but the part I have experienced so far is lovely.
@@pitohead77 From Corpus Christi, Tx, which is like 2 hrs away. And yeah...Harlingen would definitely be a significant change in scenery when compared to LA, but not in a bad way. There is lots to do, everything is close by, everything is cheap, the people are friendly. Theres comic book shops that have a lot of anime related stuff if you're into that sort of thing where people also gather and play card games which can be lots of fun for both kids and adults. You also have South Padre Island, SpaceX, a HUGE and AWESOME flea market, a big nice park with walking trail and lots of trees etc. So yeah...so far, I really like it. Even my brother is going to eventually move down here since he wants to get a job at SpaceX.
Thank you for this video. I'm born and raised here and I love my city. I'm only 28 but it's crazy how much and how fast the city has changed. I am so fucking proud of the growth of Harlingen. Every corner has new houses being built, restaurants, businesses and there's definitely lots more traffic etc. We even have a bass pro shops and the largest medical Center in the valley. I still remember when I lived in the Los Vecinos housing the west side as a kid and the expressway 83 being barely built.

I did some research, and I couldn't find any train station in Harlingen, Texas. I only found some very old pictures of a small wooden train station that got probably demolished. Funny how different this Harlingen is compared to the original Harlingen in the Netherlands which is a very old historical city.
