I love how people want a realistic game then complain about tanks being overpowered, airplanes being slugish, and the guns not being that strong and accurate guess what tanks were overpowered, the plans were sluggish, and the guns weren't the best back in WW1

It seems that when my sword actually touches them, they don't die and I just run right past them. But when they're further than the swords length, they die. It's weird rn

This new battlefield is new. The mechanics are changing, and that's okay. Everyone who doesn't like the new game, take a step back and imagine you've never played battlefield before and take a second look. If you still don't like it, I feel bad for you. Also, it's a beta which means they could change the whole game before release date. Things are going to change.

its very easy to fly planes. You just need to use the right stick combinations at the right times. With the bomber, if want to turn, you turn early
There are always going to be people that are discontent. They complain about automatic weapons. Well if there were only bolt action, you would complain about that too. They complain about tanks OP. Maybe you should try disabling it's weapon turrets before disabling the tank. They complain about horses being too hard to kill. My question is, WHY ARE YOU TRYING TO KILL AN INNOCENT HORSE? Shoot the bad guy, and steal that lovely beast. I do agree some things need tweaking: revives especially. But good grief, it's an awesome game and I'm having a blast playing it. And can we all just agree the sandstorm is amazing?

Alright but let's get real, the horses have like about the same health as the light tanks but they heal over time. 33 dmg from a tankgewher when you shoot the horse is a little underwhelming

AGREED, ive played so many rounds where as a team we just started to turn the game around only to lose cos the game timer ran out
They either have to make it longer or just take it out. On conquest I've never finished a game because someone got to 300 it was always because time ran out

Yeah I guessed it was for beta since they need the servers to run so having longer games may affect that alot.
I mean some would be going from little 20 minutes which is more like irl 10 or 15 to a 45 minutes to an hour match. Which would be great and let both teams fight it out and actually build up a great fightm
Flying feels and plays great in BF1, I haven't had this much fun flying in a Battlefield game for ages.
This beta has ups and downs, so this is my opinion:
-The Map: Its fine, but there are a lot of campers making it a less enjoyable experience.
-The Guns: They are good, but I can't stand the Lewis Gun.
-The Classes: Finally the assault is not that OP
-The Graphics: Its a DICE game.
-The Vehicles: OP
-The Modes: I don't like how they made conquest and as for rush, its bo..zzzzzz
-The Experience: A lot of glitches and bugs, such as DirectX errors...
Overall: 6/10 Decent for a beta, with not game-breaking bugs, but vehicles are OP and the map is less prefer-able than the Alpha map

give the beta a good try, its still a beta after all so many things could change
and why compare the map to bf4's silk road, it's not like silk road at all
it's its own game - they used the battlefront engine because it was the most up-to-date and polished engine created by DICE so far which is why it looks similar and has similar ideas like the juggernaut pick-ups (but they're not easy to use and dont guarantee a huge K/d increase, unlike Vader did in battlefront)
imo the bayonet charge is a fair mechanic - the player is forced to sprint fast doing nothing else and it sacrifices their ability to sprint for a few moments after if they dont hit anyone. so, in short, if someone hits you with a bayonet charge, you probably should've seen it coming and done something about it. WHEREAS the counterknife in bf4 was ridiculous - all the player getting knifed had to do was spam the melee button and they'd be rewarded with killing the courageous player who had tried to knife them in the first place
the guns arent bad -_- you clearly dont know how to use them effectively yet which is understandable considering how much you seem to like bf4 and this game is quite different - but to me at least, it still feels like Battlefield and the guns feel great, the map is awesome and the glitches in the beta are expected its a bloody beta
They need to fix the reviving for medic, nerf scouts snipers, nerf the light tank, buff support. Then this game will have a great balance. Id give the beta 8/10. In the final game if they fix the bugs and balance out the game, it will easily be a 9 or a 10 if singleplayer is good.

the fact that you said campers make it less enjoyable makes me pissed because if there weren't a few campers there will be no snipers and everyone would rush around the map like COD without thinking and not communicating with there team

+Shahan K. Bedrosian fighters back in WW1 and WW2 would use tracer rounds to see there bullets hit there target. That's why they glow.

I unlocked it. You must select assault kit and press customize and then go to gadgets or whatever and unlock it from there for 30 cash I believe.
it can be unlocked at battlefield.com and you can prety much solo kill a tank with it, once every one has it tanks will no longer be OP
***** You most definitely cant solo a tank. IIRC rocket gun does like 10-15 dmg to HT.
Ivan Buncic depends on the tank, but your meant to work as a team so a few assault players working together can destroy a tank not to mention every class can equip AT nades

all these people know nothing about world war 1 and tactics to use. like for example when taking the train with a plane fly as high as possible and than engage in a steep dive on the train but keep in the sun so that it hides you while you dive (that is for fighters only). it helps to know war tactics. although in the actual war you couldnt pull to sudden maneuvers or else you would pretty much fall out of the sky this is a video game so they will not make that a thing in the game so you wouldnt have to worry.
i hope they programed that sun tactic.

So far Im loving the game, but Light Tanks are completely overpowered. Anti-Tank Grenades are underwhelming. Sinai Desert is a fucking sniper/tank fest. But Game is so good and satisfying. Favorite Weapon is the M1909 Benet Mercie.
I don't think the landship and heavy tank are OP since it's easy to get in a blind spot and rip their asshole open. But the light tank is the most ridiculously powerful thing ever.

TFW LevelCap is level 32 and you can't connect to EA's servers for 3 days.
I'm 38 and the servers are working just fine today, only noticed slight lagg like once in every 3 games

You can get revived with a fucking syringe after you get your brains blown out by a sniper after all, so why can't there be balance?

It's a bug, everyone has it as it only counts the progression from 1st round in server so you have to leave and join again

Even I thought it was a bug but I just played and kept playing and I finally ranked up my support, getting to rank 1 takes longer than getting to rank 3 so dont worry, just keep playing, youll level up at around rank 25 if you played with the same class, also I ranked up my cavalry kit even though there are no customisation right now.

Honestly BF1 feels like casualfield, the guns just dont work at range at all and snipers have more range than ever with the reduced bullet drop and increased velocity, I feel this makes full auto players move in at extreme close ranges because the spread on the autos and even semi autos is so big, this makes all players fight at very close range almost eliminating skill gap, the vehicles are OP also, mainly tanks, im also very worried about the jet players, the planes go so slow I feel there may no longer be skilled dogfights for those players.
Believe me I didn't want this game to suck, I was so hyped for TF2, BF1 and almost not at all for modern warfare remastered, but now im most hyped for MWR and thats just sad to me.
The game feels like battlefront in many ways and thats not good, at this rate it looks like this game is gonna be a massive flop the 1 time battlefield really needed to win over the new players, I think im just gonna leave the beta alone for now and play my ea access 10 hour trial on release and make a decision then.

Hey lvl cap, you know that the horses can drop health and ammo. You can drop them if you are low on any of those and Regency health for you or the horse and ammo for the rifle.

Mostly people who never played BF1 creating flame, because they saw it on YT only. Almost anyone who played BF1 Beta had a real fun in the game. As me as well. It is NOT reskin of Battlefront, also this is NOT reskin of previous BF. It's realy new game with BF principles but almost everyting changed - planes different, tanks different, guns, bullet cap and velocity, gadgets, almost everything. I am looking forward to buy it and play it.
The attack plane with the first package is so fucking good. You can kill the bomber crew with splash damage without even destroying the plane itself lol

I enjoy the air combat in this compared to BF4. The slower speeds and large map makes it much easier. Being that I dont spend too much time in planes. Just choppers which I find much easier to control. I already miss choppers.
I like flying in bf1. I especially love crashing headfirst into enemy bombers just to spite the people in them.
I think all vehicles (including behemoths) should have limited ammunition and ordnance so they have to return to spawn/airfield to re-arm, it's a lot better that way. Or maybe bring up a supply truck to ease the job.

the AA guns are Beasts, I was surprised how easy it is to get kills with it

The trick to taking out elite units is bayonet charge, they usually can't kill you quick enough if you catch em by surprise.
The flamethrower class can. The range and damage it puts out will stop you dead during a charge at him, gotta charge him from behind.

You can get away with it with the guy with the tank rifle and if lucky the heavy MG class if he misses enough while you're charging him. I've been killed in a head on charge as the heavy MG class once already. He can't ADS on his MG.
There are so many snipers because that is the only weapon class that you can learn and adjust to. The other classes are to "random". Bullet spread that makes no sence. And rambo hold down trigger and waste all of your ammo to be accurate. Its to random, there is no patern. Not like in bf4/3. Thats why all the vets are sniping, its skill required, and when you have skill, you ruin the enemy. They need to fix that and make bullet spread more on point/accurate.
I'm in the beta, I'm also a big Verdun fan. This game is nothing like Verdun and not really representative of WW1. But that's okay, it's extremely fun, it feels like Battlefield and yet so fresh at the same time. Also Tanks are definitely OP, i can easily get 30 kills no deaths in the F17, they need a small nerf but they should still be very powerful.
people will always complain about something. Wake up call, not everything is going to be perfect. BF1 is what we have and its definitely not what we deserve because it's just so damn awesome.

Played the Beta for 20 hours and I gotta give credit to DICE for the great job on the flying. Although the mouse control is really awkward even with 200% sensitivity, it still feel great! Much better than BF4, BF3 and BF2! The only one it doesn't surpass is BF1942!
While the new conquest mode doesnt bother me, i wish they add in a classic conquest some time down the line with the ticket system.
people who are complaining about the game being so big and gets boring so fast are clearly new players for the battlefield franchise, if you've been playing battlefield franchise for a while now, you will know how to make the game entertaining for you and this game does require a lot of patience especially when sniping. I am almost rank 40 and I am still having a blast.

There was people sitting around c. I got into a bomber and used the incendiary bombs. The sound of people burning in the game.... is a little too good.
It is true that rockets were used on aircraft during World War I, but only for balloon busting. Rockets would have failed against ground targets.

Is it just me or has that sweet spot mechanic for the snipers seem to have disappeared, never getting one shot kills to the body at any range.
You should try and drop the bombs from the fighter plane on another plane mid dogfight. That would be so epic.

Does it seem like there is less Airplane damage than there was in the Alpha map? In the Alpha, you could see pieces of the wing and other things come off the plane.
levelcap what do you think of the time limit on conquest, I personally think it is way to short I think it needs to be at least 1 hour
