Very good tutorial ! Currently I'm brushing up my FreeCAD skills again now that Designspark Mechanical is limiting users with the importing/exporting formats. You won a new subscriber. All the best !

    Very good video
    One problem
Some of us have poor eye sight, We find it very hard to follow the small and fast moving pointer. Is it possible to make the pointer bigger. This will help from the pointer disappearing.
    Thank You

Hi Pieter, thanks for your feedback. Improvements to the accessibility of my videos should start rolling out in the near future.

Can I send you a simple project (but hard for me)? I am working on a curved track similar to an overhead garage door curved track
It is a mini version. Outer/Inner radius of 238/200 mm. I am trying to create a groove but somehow I could not do it following your video.

Hi Victor, I can take a look at your model but I make no promises that I can resolve your issue. Please e-mail the file to me. My e-mail address is in the channel descriiption

My situation was different because my object was not centred around any axis coordinate.
I found a solution which is to select a circle on the object already located on the axis around which I wanted to grove from.
I could then obtain the result I was looking for.
I am not sure how I would have done it without that circle , does anyone know how to create custom axis for it ? I am thinking of a datum line ( Not sure how to use it , it is not as intuitive as te datum plane ).

Thanks for your feedback Cedric. I think you're right about using the datum line, but I've hardly ever used one so I'm not the best person to give you advice on using it. I would be interested to learn how you go though.
