Meet Dr. Benjamin Wilson of Woolfson Eye Institute!
Benjamin Wilson, MD joined Woolfson Eye Institute in August, 2021, as a referral ophthalmologist who will concentrate on cataract surgery, as well as other eye problems referred into the Asheville, North Carolina and the Johnson City, Tennessee offices.
Dr. Wilson is a board eligible comprehensive ophthalmologist, who has experience in cataract surgery including a procedure known as “minimally invasive glaucoma surgery” (MIGS). In MIGS, glaucoma is treated simultaneously while a patient is undergoing cataract removal and intraocular lens implantation.
Jonathan Woolfson, MD, the practice founder and president, sees Dr. Wilson as a likely candidate to take over some of his own LASIK responsibilities in the region, as the practice and number of cases continue to grow.
