Amazing time lapse. This is the roots of devin graham. Unlike his past videos where he kept making videos of fun and friends. Thats kinda corny tho with that music. But this ? This is actually what viewers appreciate you for. Keep up this types of videos.
Yes, this is when he was a generic photography student and real boring...like this video which won't be "appreciated" like his other scenery slideshows. But what the heck, the man's gotta do his "tourism footage" for extra bread which doesn't hurt! :P
3:05 this is exactly how I reacted when I was there. You can't imagine how breathtaking the antique Rome is - everyone should be there at least once. It is so, *so* beautiful!
Thank you for your amazing videos, i loved too much this one beacuse Rome is my city, and this video takes place here, in one Of THE most Beatiful city ever!
Devin congrats on your work! I´m a cameraman/photographer/superheroe(on the weekends) from the Canary Islands and I´ve been following your work for over a year now! Truly amazing! I must say I find it a bit annoying that most of your nature/city videos don´t get over a million views. To me those are without a doubt your best videos. Keep up the good work
haters gonna hate, or they saw that there´s a lot of image from Pisa and it´s not Rome, is like if i do video on New York and i put also image from Boston
+GhillyComics Molto bello, ma non eccezionale. Ne abbiamo visti alcuni superlativi in un trailer di un documentario in 4K, sul canale Yuri Palma. Comunque anche questo video è molto ben fatto
By putting images of the Tower of Pisa and the Piazza dei Miracoli in between images of the city of Rome and under the title of "Rome - The Eternal City" you are feeding the ignorance most American people have about ancient Roman culture. So let me clarify: PISA is a city in the Tuscany, not a part of ROME. And for everything else, I loved the video, it remind me of my wonderful six months living there :)
Shut the fuck up and go back to your shitty ass wannabe country called Cataluña, I wish I could slice Spain and throw Cataluña to the middle of the Mediterranean Sea like an island :)
Devin, I lived in Italy for two years. Of that time 7.5mos were in Pisa and 3 were in Rome. This video perfectly captures the majesty of the beautiful country were I left my heart. Thank you for sharing. Flying back at the end of the month for a week and I can't wait. Hope you enjoyed your stay there.
This is the first videos I watch on your channel. Louis brought me here... And I'm THANKFUL!!! Your great work made me cry.... This is sooooo beautiful!!! Thanks a lot!!! Greets from Germany!!!! ♡♡♡♡ Gotta go now to SUBSCRIBE!!!! ♡♡♡
You set the camera to snap a image every minute, and use something like a camera rail / slider to move a bit every hour. Then you get that kind of shots.
Or you do it on the other way, which is easier. The pictures already have a high resolution, so you can just edit a normal timelaps and move the editet pictures slightly in after effects.
He says the time lapses were shot on a 5DMkIII, which is 22.3MP. Since 4k = 8 Megapixels, there would be no issue using post processing to simply crop and zoom the shots.
Devin....your videos are always a pleasure to watch and mostly fun too! But I have to say that this one right here is the most beautiful video you have made so far! I love the artistic flow and how the pigeon brings in some peace between the time lapses. you nailed it with this one !! Big compliment! One question though; For the time lapses, did you use a slider or just edited in Premiere Pro for the zooms?
Have been living here for over 20 years. Seeing this kind of video makes me realize how wide the gulf is between monumental Italy and everyday reality.
Hjernespreng Unless you have a 1500 dollar custom built pc running at least dual 780 Ti's or Dual 970/980's then I don't believe you could. I also highly doubt you have a 4K monitor as well. Having a computer that crashes means you did something wrong. That's not software. Possibly if you overclocked your computer (In anyway) It may be an unstable overclock.
***** Yes, I do not have a 4K monitor. That's why my computer crashing causes me to go "lol" instead of anger. And I'm not doing any sort of overclocking. Also, Windows 7 simply does not do 4K settings well to begin with. Looking forward to Windows 10.
I love every single one of your videos. You have an amazing talent and have found one of the greatest outlets to show your art to the world. I have only ever seen 3 channels that are better than every video, every tv show, and every movie ever made. You are one of the three. Keep doing what you doing. You are amazing dude.

It's not related to Assassin's Creed. It's Rome, Italy. Just because an Assassin's Creed game took place here doesn't mean that it IS Assassin's Creed.

The 4k timelapse is one of the most surreal things to me. Love the angle you took of the Tower of Pisa. Amazing Glidecam work as usual. Devin didn't do the time lapses, he did the glide cam shots. Thats all he does. Parker Walbeck does all the editing and time-lapse stuff.
BluStoned Yeah I read that in the description, Parker Walbeck should really get more credit as 90% of this video is his time lapse and editing.
3:05 this is exactly how I reacted when I was there. You can't imagine how breathtaking the antique Rome is - everyone should be there at least once. It is so, *so* beautiful!
This camera is better than my eyes.
I love time lapse clips of the some of the Iconic sights Rome, Pisa and Vatican City have to offer. Italy is such an amazing place.
Thanks so much everyone for all the amazing support!

Right on Parker Walbeck, that time lapse was great! You can't shoot a city without it!

that Pisa got me confused. but i love Tuscany as well as Rome :) great vid :)
The computer screen does not give this justice, looks like a legit movie AMAZING!
Those are the most majestic pigeons I've ever seen, holy shit. o.o'
I went to Rome,Pisa and Vatican City last week. Italy is amazing!!!
I never knew how to do this. How do you time laps while the camera is moving slowly
TheNostradamus13 That may work at 720p/1080p but at 4k and this type of movement, I can't see how that's doable.
that's post processing, definitely not physical work..
He says the time lapses were shot on a 5DMkIII, which is 22.3MP. Since 4k = 8 Megapixels, there would be no issue using post processing to simply crop and zoom the shots.
Simply breath taking! I dont get how can you dislike a video like this! One day i hope i can visit Rome!
Most of the shots remind me of Assassin's Creed Brotherhood :O

Thanks so much my friend. And we actually didn't have any slider, we used Premiere Pro CC, and just did slow zooms :)
***** Thanks for the response! Will go out and give it a try as well :) keep making more videos like this! lovely!
Lúc quay thì để trên chân máy tripod, về thì cho vào Premiere, sau đó dùng hiệu ứng zoom ;)
I was literally just in Rome! It's so awesome to see all the exact spots I stood in where you probably stood too!
Great video even if you put also stuff that aren´t Rome like Pisa and Vatican city in it.
But it´s an epic video greets from Italy
Vaticano city is in rome,is another country but is considered like il it's rome
Pisa isn't though ✌️
Alessio Giovi
No is like say San Marino is in Italy, it´s surrended by Italy but it isn´t Italy is another country
This is by far the best cinematic video you have ever produced. I for one want more.
Giving me the Assassin Creed feels..
This is one of the first videos of his that I have seen first hand, and he captured its essence beautifully.
1:55 eermm.. that's Pisa, not Rome :P

The famous leaning tower of Rome
