Frame gen only feels responsive enough when your card can render 60 fps or higher. So adding 1 extra frame makes sense of you have a 4k 120hz monitor. Adding three more frames is really only going to benefit those with 240hz monitors. If your buying a 50 series card you are likely gaming in 4k, do 240hz 4k monitors even exist? Seems like a rather niche feature that many wont really be able to utilize fully.
The RTX 5000 will be more powerful but if you already have an RTX 4090 for that it is not worth it because in addition it's expensive and you will just have some improvements of performance but if you already have a a RTX 40 keep it if you don't want to rack your brains :)
Yes, the AI frames will feel different because of latency. You are right that in terms of visual we dont know because they could have massively improved on the artifacting from previous frame gen, but there is no way to reduce the game latency past being at least being 1 native frame slow, as the generated frames take in both the current frame, the next frame, and the game's motion vectors to calculate the generated frame, a generated frame will always be behind what the next possible rendered frame is, causing latency. Not to say this will feel terrible, i mean the latency wasnt too bad in previous frame gen and so cramming in more generated frames shouldnt do too much worse, but for people that play games with high refresh rates and expect an extremely responsive experience, they will notice the difference. Its not so much of a new technology that noone can guess how it will feel, its literally the same tech they had with the previous gen but with even more frames added inbetween.
5070 has not the power of the 4090. bullshit... its onlyy dlss..but in what resolution ? 4k ? nope...this is marketing bullshit from nvidia ...5070 has 30tflops fp32 native...4090 has 83tflops fp32 native.....the 5070 has only 12GB vram...come on...nviida is trolling... lol
