I've always loved the Legion. Like you said, versatile, nimble and they pack a punch. I like that they removed the mechanic where, if your T3 cruiser blows up, you lose a random T3 cruiser skill level.
Yeah I'm so glad they dropped that too! I recently picked up a Legion and I'm keen to try it.
OK, This helps me figure out how to approach cruisers. I thought moving up to t3 cruisers would be the end but this is a unique way of looking at it by going t3 then specializing into the t2s. Thank you once again! It's also great to hear you so enthusiastic with this game.

Your videos have really sold me on T3 cruisers and J space. I sold my Paladin for a HAM Loki 1/4 of the price and now I have the confidence to be running sleeper sites for the first time in a decade of playing

I love my Tengu, it’s been my low sec daily for the past decade+. Does 900 dps at 36 km range, its fast, agile, speed and active tank, and most importantly, covert ops cloaky.

I love the idea of the T3Cs, can fly them all, with max subsystem skills, but sadly I have very little use for them, as pretty much everything they're really good at happens outside of high sec, and I generally stay away from things that have any real risk of PvP occurring. I do have a Tengu set up for L4 missions, but haven't gotten myself to actually use it, because, well, missions.
See, for me, that risk is absolutely what makes the game enjoyable. Keeps you on your toes, gets the blood pumping. Otherwise, yup, L4s are doable with a T3C with the right skills and fit.
@@captainbenzie Yeah, the risky parts are not my world at all. I play EVE as a (co-op) PvE game exclusively; can't deal with the adrenaline of competing with other players.
Just use covert ops cloak. I daily a tengu in low sec, and covert ops is super over powered in low sec because no bubbles. I usually hunt clone soldiers and jackpot rats that only spawn in low sec. De-cloak, kill, collect, cloak up. I’m lazy now so I don’t mission run or wh rat anymore. Very little work for 40-150 million per rat. I like exploring low sec back waters. It’s weird how I feel more unsafe in hi sec vs low sec now.

The ships themselves did get nerfed to compensate, but they're all still very good ships and the SP loss removal was DEFINITELY a good thing!!
When I transitioned from WH and Null exploration into low-sec PVP I ground my teeth on FCing with my webbing Loki, I hadn't skilled into Sacs & Guards yet, but I was still encouraged to FC in my Loki that I had turned from a cloaking explorer into a webbing+target painting E-war platform!

This is somthing I did early on in eve when they first came out, trained cruisers to 5 on every race, did the same thing when t3 destroyers came out. They all work good in different roles, Loki is a nice camper with instalock and tengu is my favorite cloaky hunter while I do pve in a proteus

@@captainbenzie I use a few fits depending on the activity, currently using a fit from the youtuber Lorumerth gaming, he has a wormhole proteus that I saw and wanted to try, and making it slightly more blinged is good for the c2 i am living in
I just got a Legion last week, now to skill into the subsystems!
I just skilled it on my main (now has Tengu and Legion, working on Proteus) and my alt has Projectile Loki. Hopefully will skill Loki on main too for HAM Loki

Just came back to the game after being away 10 years. I am so glad I trained for T3's back then. Tengu is my baby, but I can fly Loki also and very close to Legion and Proteus if I want as I already have cruiser 5 in all 4 faction's. Lets hope I can get fully back into it after so long away. o7
Nice! Tengu is my main, with Cannon Loki on my alt. My main can also fly Proteus and Legion, and thinking of shifting all the Loki skills.over too so main can fly all four.
If memory serves, for the really old accounts there was once only a single frigate, destroyer cruiser and Battlecruiser skill. When CCP introduced racial skills, you were grandfathered into your nonracial skill level for all four racial skills. Which was nice, and why I have racial Battlecruiser 5 for all four races without having had much desire to play amarr Battlecruisers (although I’m reconsidering that Omen…)
I have the Tengu and the Proteus. Love them both! I'll have all 4 by the time i'm finished. Also breaking into Marauders. Kronos is a beast !! And the Golem is next!

@@captainbenzie It's currently fit for exploration/Combat sites. One of the reasons i like it is you can attach a drone module. Which is great because i use my drones a lot. To be clear, i've only just gotten it a week or so ago so still doing the tweeky tweeky on the fit to see where exactly it fits within my stable of ships.

Just an FYI, but I noticed that sometimes the system name was blurred but other times not. Not sure if this is intentional, but for example at 0:56 it stops being blurred. Also location window gives stuff away too.

Only a streamer has to pay attention to that for the most part, and not a content creator, unless they are protecting the identity of their anchored stations.

Can't you enter the "ship preview" in order to get a whole list of all the subsystems? probably easier than going to the market. Just click on the picture of the Loki while looking at it.

You need to buy the four subsystems that you want to use and have those in the hangar too. I do have a Legion video coming out soon too! Great ship!

Across my 3 accounts, I have all 4 T3's. The most fun I have is in my Loki, next the Tengu.

Tech 3 cruisers are really powerfull. they can get to the power of a T1 Battleship but more agile

I've been trying to watch this video quite a few times and honestly I can never get through it all without losing the plot, I generally really enjoy your other videos but this one in particular is very hard to digest. There's a lot of info being thrown and it's a tad rambly.

That old SP loss kept me from ever bothering to get one, back when I had Omega active. But I knew people that flew them and lost them years ago...but I never was good at pvp 😛
Yeah, that was needless busywork and I'm so glad they got rid of it.
@@captainbenzie I for one am happy that NO SP is lost and that needing boy buy a clone that can handle X SP is gone. Yes it takes away a certain stake in the fight or loss, but before there were no skill injectors either.

It takes time as the team need to ask a few questions. They go as swiftly as they can though :)

CCP have announced they're working on something with Blockchain technology, but it won't be NFTs. There's some genuine good uses of the technology but we don't know how it'll be implemented yet. Only that it won't be NFTs.
I decided to treat myself to a 720M Legion and lost it in the first Tetrimon Site I tried, gonna be a while before I make that leap again

What does the subsystem bay do?
Allows you to carry more of the Subsystems so you can swap around as needed.

Made a mistake there. Been flying the Legion too much. Obviously with the Tengu, use SCOURGE for the kinetic bonus

Omega in EO is really worth it, and by time you're looking at T3Cs getting omega in game shouldn't be too hard.

Every ship has a weakness and depends on the ship and fit in question. Way too variable a question to answer directly. If you're PvEing though, never engage. You're in a pve fit, they're in PvP fit. Spot them early and run.

I mostly run abyssal sites, so T3 cruisers are kind of a waste of isk for me.

Yes. Any T2/3 ship requires Omega.
Hate to be a pedant, but T3C is an acronym for Tech 3 Cruiser. So T3C strategic cruiser literally means tech 3 cruiser strategic cruiser
I use it in the title, sans parentheses, simply to make it easier to search for
Seems like someone's idea for all ships but they compromised and just had this for one ship.
They're good versatile ships, but they're very expensive and can't do everything at once, so make good prey
Tengu only useful for HAMS. The rest is garbage. LOKI much better. The Caldari T3 got nerfed bad.
I really enjoy HAM Tengu, but I do also fly all four T3Cs now...
1 sub removed, interdiction nerfed and more, its just another ship now. Not special anymore. Everyone else can do better with a cheaper faction or even tech 2. Sad. I quit already. My tengu is risting in hek.

Yeah you mean how you need tons of pre skills just to be effective and efficient and how it costs quite a lot. Same as it was 5-10 years ago when it came out ? No one wants to plan eve online because the server is old as hell and it’s still a money grab like eve echos maybe if they reset sever and tell all the max skilled vets to suck it then real new players try the game. At least in even echos you can fly decent stuff in a few months
Sorry, this is completely backwards. Echoes takes 10 months to reach T9. Ten, PAID, months. EO I was achieving stuff on day one, making good isk. Within a week, I was flying the ships I want to. My first month and my alt is already in a Loki and ratting C3 wormholes.
You don't need the SP that the vets have. The content is there for anyone, and the new Faction Warfare is absolutely incredible.
Have to completely agree with Benzie. The biggest hurdle to overcome in EVE Online is getting in with a good group. If you decide that you ultimately want to fly a Marauder (the most power battleship class in the game), there are T1 versions that will get you going on the right skills and tactics that you can fly within a week of starting a new account if you're focused. Of course there's the isk aspect as a new player, but again a good group will help you either, earn it, or just give you one. Then, yes it may take some time to skill up, BUT, you can buy skill injectors to speed up your progress if you make enough isk to do so (or buy enough plex with cash).
In Echoes, if you want to get into a Striker, you have no choice but to wait to hit T10. Even if isk and cash were limitless, it will be the better part of a year before that happens.
That's not even pay to win either, because almost nothing in EVE Online is locked behind a pay wall. Very little is clone bound, meaning even if the only way to originally obtain an item is by paying cash for it (generally only cosmetic items), it is still available to be traded for isk.
