நல்ல திட்டம்சாலை U டர்ன் பகுதிகளில் சாலையை சற்று அகலப்படுத்தினால் நன்றாக இருக்கும் ஹோப்ஸ் பகுதியில் பேருந்து நிறுத்தம் U turn ஒரே இடத்தில் இருக்கும் அது போல பகுதிகளை சரி செய்தால் நன்றாக இருக்கும்
Very good system
Yes it really works, when compared to signals, this roundabouts reduces the traveling time by 40%. It all depends on peoples self discipline and patience. Now the avinashi road is filled with flyover projects, so this initiative makes vehicles move smoothly. I didnt see any problem, on my own experience. Kudos to the traffic department for this great idea.

Before it took 40 mins average to cross Avinashi road signals, now only 20mins, far better.❤ U turn is perfect method.

It's very good plan in coimbatore city... this plan implemented step by step after taking some measures so it's better working and can go without stopping mostly...
But peoples should go slow near the U Turn so that we could avoid any crashing in case of 2 wheelers go slow for U turn..

பெரிய வாகனங்கள் u turn எடுக்க காத்திருக்க வேண்டியுள்ளது அதனால் பின்னால் நிறைய வாகனம் அணி வகுத்து நிற்கிறது,, ஆனால் இது வெற்றி அடைந்ததாக கூறுவது எப்படியோ... சாலை பெரிதாக இருந்து இப்டி செய்தால் பலன் அளிக்கலாம்..
Left & Right signal plays a vital role.
For ex to turn left - vehicle to use left light.
For ex to go straight- vehicle to use Right & Left till they reach St road.
For ex if to go Right- vehicle to use Right & Right & left signal till they reach their Right line.
For ex if iu turn - vehicle to use Right- Right- Right & Left till they reach their u turn lane.
Note they should accordingly change track.
Thus system is followed in most foreign countries who follow signals ,indicators if their vehicle & lane duscipline.
This may crate accident at roundabout as this method is not taught to commuters.

Roundabout system won't work in our roads due to drivers mentality and improper traffic rules on roundabout system. First, driving schools must teach roundabout traffic rules (Ex: first entry person to be first exit then new entry person should wait until roundabout traffic clears) Generally, two lines roundabout system will work on cities; the first line drivers can choose either pass on the opposite road or U turn and second line drivers can do free exit or pass on the opposite road. But second line drivers should not try to do U turn. Otherwise, accident may happen. Drivers must be patient.
This is very old method. For crossing the round about, all the road users need basic understanding of traffic rules and self discipline.
If we assume, there is a four way junction with roundabout. If both opposite two sides vehicles are moving, the another two sides vehicles to be wait for long time.
This concept will work for less traffic junctions only.
Traffic signal is good solution for heavy traffic junctions.
Several countries removed the roundabout and change to traffic signal with auto sensor system like if any one side doesn’t have any vehicles, the signal turns red even it is the turn for green signal.
This method is very useful when less vehicles in road. There are possibility of accidents while crossing road from left to right to take U turn. For example in avinashi road, if I'm from pioneer mill road and to want to go to lakshimills. I have to take immediate U turn near pioneer mill road. Crossing the road is really challenging. I saw womens are really scared to cross the road to take U turn. So, for this kind of places police should do something to avoid panics.

அரபு நாடுகளில் இந்த முறை தான் பின்பற்றப்படுகிறது. ஆனால் ராவுண்டானவில் உள்ளே வாகனம் இருந்தால் அதுக்கு முதலில் வெளியேற நாம் பொறுத்திருந்து தான் நாம் உள்ளே போகணும். இல்லையேல் ஒன்றோடு ஒன்று மோதி விபத்துக்கள் நடக்கும். மக்கள் இந்த சாலை திட்டத்தை பின்பற்றினால் மிக்க நல்லது.
Seems very smooth on as per my recent experience so far on Avinashi road. But Round About will not b a solution. This may look fine for a short period and not in the long run definitely. This will lead to severe congestion in peak hours....

All the vehicles of 2 to 4 wheelers must put indicator lights to turn easily and safe drive
Not suitable for all signals, good idea where there is space for even bigger vehicles to turnaround... Places with high traffic and multiple road junctures, it is creating chaos ... Especially two-wheelers are the most affected .. very difficult for pedestrians... This is not a one fit all solution. Bangalore and New Delhi moved from rounta na to signals when the traffic started increasing... This system would require more policing with our driver/ rider mentality. Bad ...

Near every roundabouts roads are not proper many ups and high and pothholes, full of mud near u turn areas, this is causing much difficulties for both u turn and normal vehicles, Especially Trichy road is full of mud covered half of road everywhere

If there's no intersections & If everyone on the road aware of traffic arrangements of the respective route they're driving, and the local traffic rules and laws and skilled in driving, then definitely its helpful. Otherwise, this may not be fruitful. Particularly if you have intersections without traffic signals, it's dangerous. Removing signal and then deploying police maynot be prudent.
