Turkeys have the unexpected bio-psychological adaptation of being able to cross the road to get to the other side.
I think it's simply because they don't run out into traffic. They slowly meander out to the curb, walk slowly down the side of the road for twenty yards, then turn and slowly cross the road on an angle.
It's pretty funny to watch. They act like they're joining traffic, waddling down with traffic, and just merging over to the other side.
Your's is one of the very most interesting sites, with fine information. Wish we could visit!
*yours
We plan to visit. These people are such gems😊
I love this channel so much! Thanks for keeping history alive ❤😊
I think if I were to visit John there, I think I could drink several iced mugs of beer with him and talk for hours. Has to be in that fantastic tavern though, lol.
I assumed that musk cats probably referred to skunks.
Greetings from the Norman Uplands.
i appreciate your research they you do! been watching for a while and will be using some of the info for my research project in my revolutionary america class!
Always try to catch him at 4pm on Friday if you can. It's great and you can comment while it's live. Always look forward to it then. I wake up Friday and say yes, another day from John.
Love your channel and all your content.
Been watching your other videos for a bit. This was my first "Nutmeg Tavern" experience and I must say I enjoyed it immensely.
I found the whole thing both informative and relaxing.
I look forward to the next one.
The Dutch empire gave you applepie and donut...and stroopwafels...
stroopwafels is hands down the best tea-dunking biscuit ever created
Apple pie is English
@@johnbaird4912 I think the only thing that is safe to say is that apple pie is European, because continentals were also making apple pies. Philosophically, what are the "English" anyways? They're really an amalgam of Angles, Normans, Celts and Scandanavians and the House of Windsor is just repurposed German royalty

You can say that about most foods
Doesn’t stop people thinking pasta is Italian, even though the Chinese were eating pasta for centuries before .
The first cook book mentioning apple pie is an English book dating in the 1300s .
And aren’t most people mixed from different types of people 😀
Good show!!
I love when a live shot still feels like a normal video. Others has so much spilled time.
Hello from Auburn NY

Guns, buckles, buttons and brass lanterns and the like
💛...according to the goog, musk cat=civet...
Apparently lots of the fanciful names in Newfoundland were English renditions of long-established names given by migratory Portuguese and French fishermen.
Another video was so many things I didn't know❤
I reminder to *certain* people that the “Scots Irish” were part of the British Empire. They advocated for it; spread it and maintained it. Willingly.
I am mighty proud to have served under Benedict Arnold last year. I speakth with mine musket if that bastard king George's regulars try to steal even a chicken egg off my farm here in New York!
19:10 the musk cat maybe referring to Mink
