These were two OUTSTANDING professional players. Issel in both leagues and Dampier in a nine-year ABA career (the league's all-time leading scorer) and several seasons in the NBA after the merger. They were great teammates on the Kentcuky Colonels. Throughout their careers they were key players when a game was on the line. Issel is in the Professional Basketball Hall of Fame. Dampier deserves to be there as well. Hopefully, one day he will be elected.
