Two injured during overnight 3rd alarm apartment fire in Spokane Valley

  • Two people were injured overnight, one critically after a fire tore through apartments in Spokane Valley. The Spokane Valley Fire Department says the fire burned through six units in the E Building of Aspen Village Apartments in the 15000 block of East 4th Avenue.
    Firefighters say the fire began shortly before 1:30 a.m. The two occupants of the apartment where the fire started were injured. One had minor injuries for smoke inhalation, but the other had critical injuries including severe burns and smoke inhalation. They were rushed to the hospital.
