Their spark, chemistry and love for each other is still there after 30 years and its so beautiful to watch. Its bittersweet, nostalgic and I can't help but cry everytime I watch it. Thank you for keeping my Danimiko heart alive. Kumiko is Daniel-sans true love and soulmate. They have a special connection and are my endgame no matter what happens 🥺😍❤
I think the characters and the actors will always have a special connection. If I didn’t know better I would assume that Tamlyn and Ralph have always had a thing going. He talks about her like she’s the one that got way in life and in art, however, they are just really good actors and friends.
I think it’s cute that she used to sign autographs as Daniel and Kumiko.

Really, they love each other. No doubt at all. The chemistry, it's fantastic! Just like Yukie, waiting a lifetime for her only one love. It's very nostalgic, powerful connection that I never saw with Amanda. However, I feel a deep pain for Chozen. The life it's no easy.

I don’t think the producers of the show expected so many fans to want Daniel and Kumiko together. His facial expressions say more than what he’s actually saying especially when Chozen said “I know what she means to you”
It makes absolutely no sense for Kumiko to love Chozen after she made it clear she is still in love with Daniel. Knowing that Chozen is in love with Kumiko adds more reasoning behind why he was always attacking Daniel….out of jealousy. I do think the Chozen/Kumiko/Daniel storyline should be a big arch for the next season.
I have a feeling that we are going back to Okinawa in S6. Maybe the tournament will be in Okinawa, or at the very least Daniel will take his family there. If the tournament is in Okinawa, I am wondering if Chozen’s students will be apart of the tournament too which leads to friction between Chozen and Daniel?
I think we will either see a tea ceremony between Daniel and Kumiko, or one of the American Miyagi students falls in love with an Okinawa girl. Ralph said that is one of his favorite scenes so it has to be recreated in some way before the show ends.
I hope we get to hear more about Kumikos back story. I always suspected her father was an American soldier, otherwise how was she able to afford the car if her family was the poorest in the village. Wouldn’t it be something if her real father is Kreese?
I was hoping that Chozen would accidentally let slip that Kumiko has a child. I always suspected that the tea ceremony would lead to the first intimate encounter for both. Kumiko did say in S3E4 that her aunt wanted her to get married, but she never said get married and have children 🤔
Fun fact- Tamlyn’s husband is called Daniel and back in the day she would sign autographs as Daniel and Kumiko. 😊

I noticed as well how Chozen was speaking to Daniel about Kumiko in the present tense. I mean he could have said "I know what she MEANT to you" but he said "I know what she MEANS to you". Also, Daniel says "She's something special, alright". As if it's that what Daniel is truly feeling rn and Chozen knows it for sure.

It’s interesting that Daniel tells Chozen to go after Kumiko when he knows she’s still in love with him….but then again he can’t exactly say “don’t bother she’s still in love with me “ lol

As much as I love the Daniel Kumiko relationship don’t you all think after seeing season 5 Chozen deserves happiness!?
I’m now 100% team Chozen/Kumiko now, Daniel has a whole family with Amanda now and would be rough on all of them. But Chozen has proven himself a honorable true warrior

Yeah I love Chozen but just not him and Kumiko together and what of Kumiko's happiness as well does she have to get married In order to be happy? She can be happy being an independent woman too. I want Chozen to find someone who will return his love and not settle for someone who doesn't feel the same. He deserves that. Kumiko's heart will always be with Daniel it's just sad that Daniel is with someone now and has a family. I wish things could have turned out differently. In another life Daniel and Kumiko are a couple for me.

Just the fact that he challenged Terry Silver to cross the line he drew and mess with the Larusso family again proves Chozen now understands honor and doing the right thing
No she doesn’t have to marry to be happy and was a career woman, but of things had gone the other way she Daniel and her had lost touch it seems by her telling Daniel none of the other men fought to the death for her she wouldn’t of married Daniel in a second
@@fardospoder7508 Yeah Chozen was definitely the highlight for me in S5. I'm glad he has changed for the better and that him and Daniel are in good terms now as well.
Ralph even said that it doesn't make sense why Daniel never visited Kumiko after all these years and same with Mr Miyagi with Yukie. And that the Daniel and Kumiko story was just sort of dropped when it came to KK3.

Daniel and Allie never felt like soul mates, Kumiko was definitely a better fit and had things gone differently they would of ended up together
@@fardospoder7508 apparently in a video interview Ralph said "What happens in Okinawa stays in Okinawa" when the interviewees implied that in S3 Daniel might "cheat". as they say "Is he up to no good?!?" Ralph was saying that it was getting tossed about in the writers room and there were discussions of that. But, in the end it was handled respectfully as we can see nothing happened but their hands touching slightly..lol. But still they had a deleted scene as well with the dance, and I'll never say Goodbye playing in background.

@@ArmyBlinkFan I hope just to see her but as her relationship with Daniel goes I don’t know exactly where’s that heading. t’s funny how they never talked about Daniel romantic with Kumiko like nobody asked or talk about that deleted scene? Daniel’s didn’t mention her in season 1 or 2. In season two He talked about Ail and Judy with his daughter Sam on how much he admired them. Ail basically tells him don’t ruin it with Amanda but he literally was dancing with kumiko before Ail came back.

I feel chozen has proved to the larusso family as well as Daniel that he has changed for the Good. That's why I feel Daniel feels Chozen should go for it with Kumiko even though I think Daniels actions when speaking to Chozen at the bar feels a bit conflicted with Chozen saying as well "I know what she means to you" which I feel meant that Chozen knows how Daniel truly feels about her as well.
