My first car was a 56 ford fairline that's the base model no extras like a radio .or a heater ..I got it from grandma but she had ordered it with heater and radio .it had the 272 v8 and 3 on the tree .I still have the owner's manual and other promo paperwork .
Oh - That ‘55 Mercury sure brought back memories. My father bought a BRAND NEW 1955 Mercury while stationed at Lincoln Air Force Base outside of Lincoln, Nebraska. I was 12 years old and thought that was the most beautiful car in the world! AND - it came with factory air conditioning. Wow! Unheard of at the time. He finally traded it in in 1962. I learned to drive in that car. Thanks for keeping a car like that on the road, Sir.
The 34 needs steel fenders. I figure you have at least a dozen sets layin' around the barn. Then those 40 Ford wheels (or similar) repainted to match the body with a contrasting pinstripe around the rim and a double stripe around the stock V5 (lol) hub caps. And of course a set of "big and littles" with wide whites. Loved the guy talking about planting the cane field to hide the cars from his wife. LOL
My older sister got to ride home from the hospital in a '36 Terraplane, in 1949. In 1951, I rode home in a '48 Kaiser. My dad had 5 different brands for his first 5 cars. Unless you consider the Terraplane being a close relative to a '63 Rambler. He had 3 Ramblers in a row, before he bought a sixth brand, '71 Dodge Dart. His first new car, was a '53 Ford, his next, a '57 Chevy. Everything after the Dart, was Ford, Mercury, or Chrysler. I'm on my 13th and 14th AMC, with some other oddballs in between: Simca, Vega, Porsche, 2 Fiats, 2 Oldsmobiles, a Plymouth, and 2 Fords.
Ya my grandson go to pilot school so I started buying my car parts for top flight so now when my parts come for the GTO she carry s them in and put it in his room they even come with a set of wings on the sticker sometimes anti a stinker 😂😂😂😂
As far as the 34 wheels for me Superior, Dragmaster and Rocket all made a 5 spoke one piece wheels in the late 60's that look amazing. But the top of the line for me is the Rader 5 spoke, be impossible to find but what a wheel!
Wow! That ‘55 Mercury is a real beauty. I’ve always liked the two door hardtop. Are you planning on selling it? Thanks for the effort of making these videos and uploading them. Much appreciated.

If the Radir 5 spoke is the one with the flat spokes with a ridge down the center of the spoke, Rocket is reproducing them as the "Strike".
@@ramblerdave1339 That is the wheel and thanks!
