Thanks man. I'm pretty sure Dime who had the old record came up with the strat for Supernova so props go to him, I just added a second medivac with scvs which makes it a lot more consistent

I struggled with "The Devil's Playground" pretty hard and this guy does it in a few minutes... wow such a good strategy, I never realized how many minerals there are lying around the entire map

Just FYI on Cutthroat the game end trigger is when the planetary fortress dies regardless of whether or not you have the mercenaries. You can put a siege tank directly under it on the low ground and get vision with a floating building. If you already have access to siege tanks you can do the mission in 2:15 on casual. That said I suspect in a marathon fresh play through this would mess with the mission order too much. Either way you dont have to fight up both ramps, you can just set up shop on the low ground and blast away, might save about 30-60 seconds.

I like this run's routing is as creative as entertaining, Dime did the routing ? Also are you planning on doing more to get sub 2:20 ? As you said there are a lot of micro improvement like whispers of doom or getting first tries.
If by routing you mean mission order, that comes way back from the first runs by Raelcun. If you mean the strats on the individual missions, I used what Dime did as a starting point and improved a lot of them at least a little. And yes, I'm gonna keep running until I get sub 2:20. You can catch the runs live on my twitch
I saw a trick to maybe finish cutthroat faster: You can position the tanks at the low ground beneath the planetary fortress, fly a building over and just kill it with the sieged tanks rather quickly instead of going through the army on that highground

You lose 45 seconds on the dig to collecting relics. I get that they are required for the drop pods, but is it not possible to get those relics on other missions?
@@Mikezinj The required missions won't open until you reach particular amount of completed missions. You need to complete 14 total missions in order to get access to Supernova.
geshundra the nova mission is far shorter than the tosh one, though i think specters tend to kill things faster (at least the things he uses ghosts for). the only problem is ghosts get a vision and range upgrade as opposed to the specters’ psionic lash, which he got and i don’t know if it is necessary or not
Tom vikson be careful, sometimes he specifically plans for exact enemy numbers and i’m pretty sure the nova mission will be a bit longer (i don’t remember if the thor is there on not brutal difficulty)
in the mission where u must collect 6k minerals and destroy enemy cc. did u try to place tanks on low ground near that cc? not necessary to kill anyone. i use flying building for vision. think its faster.

One of the missions to choose from: either defend the colonists, or destroy the infected colonists. They give a viking. The mission in which you need to accompany Tykus on Odin, they give Wraith there. Mission in the capital, where you need to send a message! They give the Thors. Maybe I still forgot something, passed the game 9 years ago!
Чело Пук they aren’t required. he chose not to do them because in a speedrun, it’s a waste of time as the only strictly required missions are the Mar Sara ones, the Artifact ones, and the Char ones. he does the tosh missions to get ghosts and zeratul missions for research and a couple of the rebellion missions to fill the required 12 mission quota before supernova.
Amazing job! Might you consider turning your physics to high so nothing just disappears when it dies, or is the perfect performance essential for the speed run?
Yep, only you don't have a lot of upgrades with this route so it's pretty hard. I recently found a strat to do it though; you just need to get through the first 10 minutes or so without taking any damage and then the rest is pretty straightforward.
In beat this mission by eliminating all protoss and it never ended immediately. Am I missing something. Still had to wait for the drill to do it's drill business
Andrey Ibragimov You’re allowed to skip missions in WoL. The only required missions are the Mar Sara missions in the beginning, the Artifact missions, and the Char missions. The Artifact missions are locked by the number of missions you previously completed, which is why you have to explore the other story arcs a little. All missions are required in HotS, LotV, and NCO.
I never rush i try to get that maximum army before going to war the feeling of unstoppable force is awesome xD. Unless its time limited it kinda sucks but the story makes up for it.

Im not sure why he needs the relics exactly. The protoss missions also arent required so im not sure why he did them. Im confused tbh lol

You can make a great improvement from "The dig". Eliminating all Protoss end the game right away, you don't have to wait until the gate is destroyed.
