att 12:06. when you hit. lvl 2-3 5 and 7. you do a "search 2" of the ability deck i think the name was"the far right one" . me missed this aswell the first times. and it slows down the game a bit. helps alot those cards.

Unless this is something specific to this scenario, I think you're doing the card draw wrong. At the beginning of your turn, you can choose to discard any number of cards that are STILL LEFT in your hand, or if you're over your hand size, you have to at the very least discard down to your hand size. AFTER choosing what to discard, THEN you draw back up to your hand size, if you're below the limit. You were drawing up to your hand size and then choosing to discard, and then drawing back up again, basically giving yourself two hand draws per turn, which I believe is incorrect, although that would certainly make the game easier, because you're refining your hand a lot more before your turn.

Does this game only have 1 combat board for the entire table? Looks like it can be used from top to bottom, or bottom to top, accounting for those sitting on opposite sides. But, what about people on the other side of the play area? Perfect example in the video, Meg can't manage her own combats. Aside from space, wouldn't it be best to have 2 boards, 1 for each side of the play area?

If they sat opposite the problem wouldn't exist... there's the battle board you can use for PvP battles but it will considerably add to the game time.

      @@crimsonsun2000I'm thinking 3+ players.

@@DanD20 I play 3 players with my partner and daughter and its not been an issue. Of course if you have more space then i can see the argument for more, it is one of the slowest aspects of the game waiting for other players to resolve combats, though the battlefield makes for excellent PvP showdowns.
Its a lighter mage knight with some extra combat mechanics if you choose to use them. Both games feel very similar on the table

A bit in doubt about this, i can play the video game and like it. Just takes long.
Its kinda expensive game on the board and seems like loads of rule you can easyly skip and screw yourself over

Great video! even though you missed a lot of rules :)
I would recommend that you try the PC game it's really fun. The best version of the game is to get horn of the abyss expansion. There is online multiplayer with simultanious turns, also there are 2k players online daily.
Besides that campaings are really fun and there are great single scenarios since game features map editor and communitiy makes wonderful maps e.g the devil is in the details map

This game looks super fun. Also, super fiddly. I'm thinking about getting the minis with the game because i love minis but this game seems perfectly fine without them. Love the cards on the battle board. Putting minis on them would obstruct the cards. I could put the cards next to the board but I don't think I will have enough space for things as they are in the video alreadty.

Honestly i kind of regret getting the minis at all, adding the battlefield takes up a lot more table space just as an excuse to use the minis when the game was built for just using the cards and the box would be a tenth the size without the minis

I find the "intended" battle board to be really lame and I never use it. I do all battles on the big battlefield (from the Battlefield expansion) and honestly it's a much better experience IMO and it plays more like the video game. It does require rewriting the rules somewhat.

Hey, nice video - it's really cool watching you guys play the game. I'm just wondering why your starting tiles aren't ones for Inferno and Tower? Is this how the scenario needs to be set up? Just curious :)
