Something you may not know is you need to use very specific RAM called 3200AA for these HP Victus PCs, otherwise it will run at 2133mhz rather than 3200mhz, which means you'll lose a good chunk of performance. You usually can find an 8GB stick online for like $15-20. Also make sure you don't get laptop RAM on accident; the desktop ram is longer and shorter than laptop RAM.
I just want a double check that this is accurate. I was two seconds from buying a Ram kit. I admittedly have no idea what I'm talking about. I haven't tried to build or upgrade a PC in 20 years, probably.
Here are two links to find a 16gb set or just a single 8gb stick to add to the original. These work without slowing down the ram speed! Hope this helps! A-Tech 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 3200 MHz UDIMM PC4-25600 (PC4-3200AA) CL22 DIMM Non-ECC Desktop RAM Memory Modules a.co/d/gCyuGhP A-Tech 8GB RAM Replacement for Crucial CT8G4DFRA32A | DDR4 3200MHz PC4-25600 UDIMM Non-ECC 1.2V 288-Pin Memory Module a.co/d/2l4vscW
@bradfordskeldorado I've been googleing like crazy for a while now. I can't find anything about 3200aa and victus. I did find a video saying the victus line uses 1.2v ram slots. So to use 1.2v ram. Also found that ddr4 above 1.2v is basically factory overclocked. So if hp limits the ram slots to 1.2v. Then that makes sense. Why the higher voltage ram can't hit it's basically overclocked spec. Just like adjusting the voltage to overclock a cpu. Just a thought. It makes a $50 difference for a 2x16 kit.
So something with the AA ram causes it to be set to 3200mhz. The factory bios is default to that speed amd cannot be chNged so if you put the 1.35v stick that is ECC ram then it will reduce the speed. The ram in the link I commented above is non-ecc that is the same as the factory stick that HP puts in so it will run at 3200mhz and not reduce down to 2400mhz.
I just picked one of these up from Walmart on clearance for $175 I'm really excited cause this PC is decent stock, a few little upgrades and it's a steal!
I am glad you touched on the ventilation. On mine I added a case fan over the vent and I got a better heatsink and fan, it definitely made a difference. Overall a great budget gaming computer or starter. Seems like HP wants you to add upgrades.
It definitely seems that way. I'm sure for the cost of this pc, they cut as much cost as they could but also allows for early wear, so you come back in a couple years to buy the next generation pc 😄
I just got a victus 15L. With the i7 12700f rtx 3060 and 16 gigs of ram for $460. I added a 8gig stick of ram and a 1tb ssd . So now it's 24gb 3200 ram 1tb hhd, 256gb nvme, 1tb sata ssd 12th gen i7 and a 3060 all for $500. Got the deal af a lifetime.
Mine Was 600$ overall it plays pretty great 👍🏽 I upgraded the RAM to Corsair 16 gb ram DDr4 and it went from great to phenomenal im happy with my purchase
That's the single best upgrade you can do and it's cheap! I'm a huge fan of it. Along with the ability to upgrade the gpu and having the 8 pin connector along with the additional hook ups for additional storage is so nice.
Awesome video, just bought this one for my 12 year old as his first Gaming PC for Christmas. Your video really puts me at ease and also let’s me know I can tweak this thing if need be. Subscribed!
Perfect for a first pc and your kid can learn how to do some easy upgrades like ram and storage install that's cheap and makes a big difference! Let me know if you want some links to the beat products for cheap!
I got a victus with a 3050 3 days ago and It’s amazing. Only strange thing is that randomly the GPU % just drops and the game stutters. Does anybody know what causes this and how can I possibly fix it
I would verify that the gpu drivers are updated and i would run the task manager to see if there are any programs that are possibly running high. Sometimes, preinstalled programs need updates or just need to be reinstalled.
At 5:38, I see what looks like a piece of black plastic covering some ports, maybe video ports from the motherboard. Can you tell me what's under there, and are those torx-only screws?
So this is a vga port and an hdmi port from the motherboard. The reason they cover them is to prevent people from hooking up the cable to these ports. With a gpu plugged in, these ports will not work so companies get calls with people claiming to pc powers on but has not video out. The screws are a torx or flat head style fastener, so you can use either one! Hope this helps!
@@bradfordskeldorado Thanks so much. I have an ancient Apple Cinema Display that only outputs dual-link dvi, so I was hoping there might be a DVI port hidden under there.
I know they make an hdmi to dvi adapter. This pc has an hdmi and a display port but the intel version has an hdmi and a dvi port so you might be able to fond one of these. Also, you could build one with more capabilities for a little bit more than you can get this pc!
@@bradfordskeldorado I'm going to bite the bullet on this (I found it at a nearby Walmart for $400 today, but most stores seem to be sold out). I had planned a 5600g build for about the same cost with more ram, bigger SSD, but reusing my power supply and RX 560. This will definitely save me some headaches, especially since I'll still have a functioning PC if I have problems to work out.
Wow! $400 is a steal for everything you get in this! Be sure to check out some of my shorts on this! I have a ventilation addition I did with adding a fan to the side for better air flow and also did an RX6600 gpu swap and got some serious performance out of it! Good luck and hit me up if you have any other questions!
This is actually a solid PC at that price point. Would be a great entry level setup for someone. That B roll was looking Clean my dude! Miss you homie. Hope all is well. Glad to see your still out here killing it man!

@@bradfordskeldorado absolutely bro!!! Yeah that’s kind what worries me about it 😂. Regarding CP 2077, I think downgrading the settings to Medium or Low would yield significantly better results. High graphics tends to have diminishing returns compared to medium settings, and the CPU is more than capable of pushing 50-60 fps without the GPU bottleneck.
I agree you would have better numbers with reducing the settings but doing a benchmark on high shows that the pc can handle the game without stuttering and also its only up from where I tested it. If you want to lower settings, you at least know your system can run it. I personally get tired of seeing people lower settings just to get high fps as a measure vs a good quality graphics and game stability! I appreciate the feedback!
@@bradfordskeldorado thank you. I was trying to find some Benchmarks on this because I am curious if it could run battlefield 2042 which is mainly what I want to play on the pc
I probably should buy that game to include in benchmarks for future vids 🤔 Do you have a budget you're trying to stay within? This pc is good for a cheap prebuilt but future upgrades like the psu, motherboard and case will limit you. I would recommend piecing together a pc for about $700-$800 and you can get an overall better pc with the ability to upgrade over time!
Hi @bradfordskeldorado thank you for the video on this, just curious if you could list the 1 TB drive you mentioned at 7:14 and how many other drives could be added to this machine?
To be honest, I would recommend a PNY 2.5" ssd. You can get a 2Tb ssd for $61. This is fastener and more reliable with double the space for just a hair more. PNY CS900 2TB 3D NAND 2.5" SATA III Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) - (SSD7CS900-2TB-RB) a.co/d/agC2KVY
@@bradfordskeldorado OK, so I have the case open, if I got 2 of those PNY drives is there room? I know the bay will hold one, would the other be hanging loose? hahaha
It would basically just be on the bottome of the case or you could have it anywhere. An ssd doesn't have any moving parts so it would be fine where ever you put it. A Hard drive has a spinning disc so they can have issues if they aren't mounted securely.
i have one, it works perfectly, if you are on a budget get this, and if you want a little more performance i recommend you get another 8gb stick, i added a 2tb wd blue hdd to the pc.
I bought this pc. The sound is very low. I updated everything. The sound is great when using headphones conected by Usb. When conected the speakers via usbb+jacks. Its very low. Dunno why... I tested the speakers on other pcs and word perfect and hard. So.. Dunno what is this. I tried on win 10 and 11.
The only thing I can think of would be to check the drivers and see if there is an update. Personally, I recommend a usb audio de ice due to the sound quality. I would have to look to see if I could figure out any kind of solution.
Got a Victus for 650$ with an AMD 5600G and a 3060TI. Upgraded it with 32gb of RAM DDR4 3200MhZ/s and thinking to upgrade the ssd. Do you know where i can find a tutorial on how to install an SSD?
The nvme ssd is very simple to change. You would need a way to clone the ssd that is in the pc now. There are programs that make ot simple. I would search youtube "how to clone an nvme ssd". But other than that. I have a case swap video for the victus and I remove and install the ssd
The 1070ti uses about 180W of power which is a lot compared to some of the newer comparable gpus. The 1070ti if I'm not mistaken, also requires more than an 8 pin power connector. I would recommend using a different gpu if I could afford to buy one. The 4060 is a very low power draw gpu and only cost $299 but that's just what I would recommend!
A fan splitter is for adding fans and I personally don't know about adding more rgb to this. It doesn't have an rgb header so you would probably just have to find some single color fans that run off of the fan power but don't change or find an rgb set that has a switch. yomgam 3 Way 4 Pin PWM Fan Splitter Cable,12 inch PC Fan Extension Cable, CA PWM Fan Extension Cable, for Computer ATX Case 4-Pin/3-Pin Cooling Fan Cable (2 Pack a.co/d/56jqOVW
Hello Comrade the form? what is the configuration to do on this pc like the max to run all the games in 1080p without worry in high or ultra thank you in advance
I have this with the AMD CPU. I installed a Nvidia 1660 Super. (barely fit) I see in the Device manager an onboard AMD GPU Still shows up and loads the drivers The rear plugs for this are blocked from the factory, I can only disable it in the Device manager and not in the bios. Should I disable it? I don't understand the FPS because It only shows 60 FPS like it is hitting a limit and won't rise above that no matter which game I play., Is there a setting I can change to disable the FPS limit? Thanks!
So if you're showing an AMD gpu and it says radeon graphics, then it could possibly be the integrated graphics from the cpu. I would recommend downloading and running DDU (display driver uninstaller, google DDU) to remove all gpu drivers and then install nvidias geforce experience. Once you have done all this, you can remove the slots on the back of the pc to allow the other ports to be accessible. Also, check to make sure your settings aren't capped to 60 fps and also make sure vsync isn't on. If you're running a 60hz monitor and vsync then you will be stuck at 60fps. I hope this info helps!
@@bradfordskeldorado Thanks for the info, I will try those other tips. My monitor is 60hz but FPS does jump above 60 when I am not in gameplay, Will the monitor hold it to 60 if I don't have anything else holding FPS down?
@TheNickybocker it shouldn't. Just check the game setting and your gpu software (geforce experience) to make sure vsynce is off. Let me know of the issues is still happening!
Have you had a chance to review or look at the newer model hp victus that has 1 tb ssd, 16gb ddr4-3200mhzram memory, wifi6 (2+2) and bluetooth 5.3 wireless card with an Nvidia Geforce rtx 4060 graphics card with 8gb gddr6 dedicated memory, 5.1 surround sound and several different USB ports hdmi and display ports......... Was wondering what would be a good upgrade that is cost efficient ? I bought this at Best Buy for $ 1400.77 after taxes.
Most gpu companies have fan kits you can find. Measure the fan diameter and search the brand and size and you should be able to find replacement fans for cheap!
Hey. A few questions. Do you think it would be wise to set up a fan where the cage is to help with temperatures? I was thinking about doing that and it looks like it has room for a 120mm fan.
Unfortunately it does only have 1 nvme slot but you can add a 2.5" ssd for storage. The HDD I added was just a 2tb drive I had laying around and the cage is big enough to fit one but the 2.5" will mount in it too! Hope this helps
There is only one slot for an NVME drive, so you would have to install a bigger ssd if you wanted more storage on the motherboard. If you are just looking to add a 2.5 ssd for more storage, then you would just mount it in the cage that I installed the hard drive on and use the same connections I used in the hard drive. I hope this helps, but if not, please let me know!
Hello comrade the form? for the ram I wanted to know the voltage and the frequency I can put what I want like 1.20 or 1.35 it goes on this pc? and the speed also 3200 mh is good?
The voltage shouldn't matter as far as the ability to use it. Now, if you have a system that is set to 1.2v and you use 1.35v then it could limit it to 1.2v. Also if it is a 1.35v system and you use 1.2v the it will also limit it to 1.2v. So you should be able to use it and get more memory but you may not be able to utilize 100% of the computers memory frequency is you are trying to overclock. Best bet is to get the 1.35v ram and if you have a 1.35v system, then you're good to go. If you have a 1.2v system then you're not losing anything my having the 1.35v kit in it. Hope this helps!
I can check to see if another gpu can improve beyond the 2060 that I used as an upgrade. I have a 3060 but with the 300w power supply, I believe it would be too much. I can possibly buy an rx6600 but may take a bit until I flip some other pcs to buy it
So do I need to upgrade my ram is that’s the reason my pc is slow bought it 2 years ago and only use it for RUclips and browsing the internet T the same time … when I click the start button to go to whatever I want to go to my computer says RUclips not responding Etc
Start by running an "internet speed test" in your browser. Then I would pull up task manager and click the performance tab to see if you have an overload on your cpu, gpu, storage or ram. Then check your programs in your task manager and make sure you don't have something running in the background that is causing it to run slow. This pc should not be slow at all of you're just running youtube and browsing. Let me know if this helps

Is your ssd completely full of files or games? Sometimes this can affect how your pc runs. I would recommend getting a separate 2.5" ssd and move anything off of your boot drive that may be able to free up some space. You can find these for very cheap ($22 for 500gb/$45 for 1Tb). Let me know if your storage drive is full.

So…. I have someone selling this same pc factory setup for 300$. I’m looking to get a better pc then what I got so I can play Diablo 4 when it comes out. Will this pc handle it out to box or will I need to upgrade it?
I mainly did it because this little pc doesn't have but one fan in the rear. Just something you can do to pull in fresh air and depending on the fan size, I'm sure it could increase the volume. Not only that but the pc should have a set temp for the fan curves to speed up when needed.
Can anyone tell me what type of cable he's using to power the extra HDD? The stock power supply doesn't include any sata power cables and im completely lost
This pc comes with 2 extra sata power and 1 sata data cable. The power cable is just to the right of the ram toward the top and the data cable I'd just below the cpu cooler and about the NVME ssd. I hope this helps
@bradfordskeldorado so mine doesn't seem to have it, I do see a 4pin slot named hdd sata pwr but no cable. I'm looking im Amazon but not sure exactly which one would work. Thanks for replying btw
There is a sata power that you can use for a drive but I don't know how much the rgb controller takes. I'm sure you could buy a splitter if you needed an additional cable for the drive and rgb controller
@@bradfordskeldorado my victus had a splitter already connected to the motherboard so I used one for the cool moon and it worked but after a while the pc turned off so I unplugged it and started it up & it worked fine I thought I fried it but I’m wondering why it powered off. The cool moon says to be plugged into the sata power on a psu but the 350w doesn’t have one so I’m trying to figure out what to do lol
To be honest, I wouldn't mess with that a lot. I'm about to do a video on how to change the victus pc to a gaming pc case and psu so you won't have to mess with that proprietary stuff. Just an option
Should I get a 1080p or 1440p monitor? I’m going to try it out of the box amd 5 5600g & amd rx 6400 8gb ram, 350w. We plan to upgrade the gpu & ram later.
I personally would recommend 1080p gaming but that's not to say you couldn't do a 1440p monitor but set you setting to 1080. If you have the money, I would say go for it but wouldn't recommend 1440 gaming until you swap the gpu
I got mine with an intel arc 380 and so far for what I game it does everything. I love how I been able to play Mario Kart 8 and let’s go pikachu at 1440p without lag. As far pc game I think I can stick with demanding games on my ps5
I was looking at the newer version with the intel gpu because I haven't owned one of those gpus yet. That extra memory and performance is probably a huge improvement on the RX6400! Thanks for stopping by!
How good will this PC play DCS and Star Citizen if you do not have a Star Citizen account they are having a free fly tell 9/7 and what is the max RAM that it well take
I would recommend a bigger power supply but you may be able to run it if you under volt it through msi after burner. I would say an rx6500 would be able the limit I would run for amd
I would try to find an Nvidia gpu to be honest. The 2060 I had in the build worked really well and boosted the performance with a lower power draw. If you're going with amd the I would spend the money for the rx6600 with the possibility that you may have to under volt the card slightly
Was wondering you could tell me if it's worth the buy. $700 Victus Intel i5 1440016gb Ram 512gb M.2 SSD Rtx 4060 gpu. Looking to run a golf simulator software called GSPRO
So this is my recommendation. This pc is more than capable of running this game and running it well. The only issue with this pc is that if you end up trying to upgrade it in the future, you are limited to what parts can go into it. The 4060 is a great option for a gaming gpu. If you can find another prebuilt pc in a more universal case that has the same internal parts, I would recommend that. Something like the lenovo legion comes with the same parts but is $899. This pc allows you the space and head room to upgrade your power supply, cpu, gpu, storage, ram, or cpu cooler, without buying specific parts or having to change everything completely.
Thanks, it honestly only needed to run the golf simulator, don’t do any other gaming so don’t know if I would need to upgrade anything. It saves a little compared to the Lenovo. Just unsure on what to do tbh.
i got one of these and dropped a 3060 in this with 32gb of trident ram. it screams and i can get ultra settings on CP2077. Also i changed out the back fan with a noctua NF-A9 92mm fan to pull more heat. This is was a great deal and a fun little PC
@gawrysh1975 I have a shorts video testing a 4060 and it really woke this little pc up. I haven't tried cp2077 yet but I bets its a lot better than the 20fps I got with the rx6400 lmao!
I'm not able to say 100% if this would be good for those programs but I will say it is a bit of a power house for the price it is set at. If you add the additional ram and the storage space then it will help it with running under stress. The ryzen 5 is a good cpu and the nvme ssd that comes with it would allow you to run programs quickly. Not sure how much you may have found one for but I have heard of people finding these for $300-$400.
@@bradfordskeldorado I was shocked how it ran gta at like 70 fps, that was really cool that it was capable of that. Also thanks for the reply and the info, your vid really makes me wanna get it, so you earned a sub sir
what kinds of graphics cards would you recommend for upgrading aside from the 2060? I've mostly been searching around for good budget options for an upgrade but don't know as much about PC building yet.
Check out the short I did on the 4060 for $299. It is a bigger purchase but you always want to buy nice or buy twice. The 4060 is is super efficient for the 350w psu and it provides great performance! ruclips.net/user/shortst6Pn6k-kEDA?feature=share
New to computers. So once you just plug in your new ram, that’s all you have to do? Or do you have to install the device manually through the computer.
When you install new ram on this pc, it detects there is additional ram installed automatically. The ram speed is set on this computer. On other computers that don't use proprietary parts, you can adjust the ram speed in the bios. A very simple task to get the maximum speed out of your upgrade. Always check the speed on your ram! If you put a slower speed, it will default to that slower speed.
Just got one on my local fb market place with 32 gb of corsair ram for 200 bucks! Barley used as well! Super excited! Going to add a 2060 to it down the line, or if I can find the hp 500 watt psu I might add something a little stronger!
Are you talking about the 2060 gpu and the ram? The 300w power supply has its limitations, so with the pc, there isn't a lot of head room to upgrade a lot.
@@bradfordskeldorado I'm only seeing a 18ish fps gain on the harder to run games. The AAA titles will very and the Rx card is running them at high rates already. Then your running into heat issues with the 2060? Probably best to game it out for a year or two then sell it for 300 and with the money you saved in those years get a better pc
The whole aim was to show that you have the ability to upgrade with the power cables that are included. It was a gpu I had laying around. I purchased this pc just to test it, and show the capabilities. This is not a pc I use daily
No, this is an am4 motherboard. I believe they make a newer intel platform now but I'm not 100% sure it would have the psu and cooler for a 14th gen i7
That's definitely not something I have seen or heard. Could be a defective fan. I would submit a ticket through hp and see if they have heard of this issue.
After u put the hard drive back I noticed you didn’t connect the two cords to the bottom was that done? By the way I know nothing about computers just trying to upgrade my sons pc to 16gb. Thank you!
If you have this pc I can post links to the best ram that will still allow you to keep to 3200mhz speed. Also, I did hook them up, I probably just forgot to add that to it. There are a ton of times where I miss something and realize it later or someone will mention it so I apologize and never want to confuse or mislead someone.
Unfortunately this pc has a proprietary power supply and the motherboard is specific to this case. You would have to change those along with the case and use the cpu, gpu, ram and ssd from this pc. You could probably build a pc for the same price and use all new parts with some of the drops in prices in today's market! Hope this answers your question!
This pc could easily run Ark right out of the box! I wouldn't recommend streaming but if you're interested in just gaming, then you won't have any issues!
My recommendation would be to look for an rtx 3050. It is equal performance but about 50w less power. Also, the 2060 is getting expensive and I can only guess because they aren't being made anymore so this suggestion would be cheaper. Something like this... MSI Gaming GeForce RTX 3050 8GB GDRR6 128-Bit HDMI/DP PCIe 4 Torx Twin Fans Ampere OC Graphics Card (RTX 3050 Ventus 2X 8G OC) a.co/d/1udtxdY
I think the top comment is the RX6600 link that I show how to install it. This is the best GPU I have found for the money and performance. I have an rtx 4060 showing up tomorrow so I may have a better option.
So first change would be changing the gpu from RX6400 to a RX6600 ? Also for the ram would it be higher the ram the better like a 16gb is better the 8gb, and what does the ram do to the PC does it just allow more space ?
The 2060 was just something I had laying around. I wouldn't recommend it due to it being an outdated gpu and most times people are selling them for $300-$400 and it's just not worth that.
Your ram is like your brain. It controls all the active apps and games in real time but doesn't store any data. So the more ram you have, the more space you have for multitasking. For this pc, I would recommend the A-Tech ram in the link below. This is the same speed as the ram that it came with and is only $26. This will give you 16gb total and stay at the 3200mhz speed. The Victus comes with the HP omen program loaded from the factory. Open it up and I think on the left is a lighting option. Select the logo and there's a color wheel to choose what color you want!
Is there any problem running after upgrading the graphic card since the PSU only rated 350W? Bought the same thing over Christmas, so far I've only added an intake fan and another ram stick.
Yo Max! Not any issues so far. I have been using it of and off for about two weeks and it's pretty solid. I did look up the RX6600 and it draws less power and it a pretty substantial upgrade to the 2060!
I wouldn't recommend this configuration with Star Field, but if you upgrade the gpu and ram, then you shouldn't have any issues at all. STAR field is just a bit of a demanding game for this gpu.
This pc was a good deal at the price I bought it. The 1660 super version for 900 euros would be a little high due to the fact that you could build a pc for that price that can out perform this pc. I am selling a pc right now for 500 USD or 460 euros that has a 1660 6gb and can be upgraded is the buyer wants

If you have a 2070 super and you're wanting to use it then I would recommend a psu upgrade but if you're buying a new gpu then I would not recommend the 2070S. It's a great gpu but the power consumption is around 205W vs the 110W that the 4060 or the 135W that the RX6600
Hello, this video is so cool :) 1. I accidentally scratched the side of the case on the wall and got a lot of scratches... Is there any way to buy or fix the side of the case separately? I don't have any problems using it, but it just doesn't look good... 2.I got a 2060s GPU from a friend. If I install it here, will it work well without problems with the power of 350w? And I'm trying to add a 14tb hdd that is 3.5 inches. Maybe it's fan noise or vibration?
HP does have a customer cupport option to purchase replacement parts for their products. I would probably take some fine grit sandpaper (1000 grit) and sand the scratches and paint it. The 2060s should be a good addition without any issues and the 3.5" hard drive would be a huge upgrade with no problems to the pc! I hope this info helps!
There are gpus that are better than the RX6400 but the question is, are they worth spending the money for a small fps increase. I still see 1660 and rx 6500 gpus selling for 100-120 but that's only about a 15% increase. I have found used rx6600s and rtx 3050s for $180-$200 that would be a bigger boost. I always like the saying "buy nice, or buy twice". I wouldn't want to recommend a 1660, only to turn around a month later and wished you spent the extra to get a better and longer lasting product. Hope this info helps!
If I come across any good sales, I'll post them here! Also, a new video is coming out tomorrow for changing the victus to a new case and all the parts to make that work!
They amount of ram space available will have a bigger effect than the slight drop in speed. There is ram from hp you can find that will not reduce the speed, but I don't currently have a link to it.
No, the motherboard, power supply, and cpu cooler are all proprietary for this case. The cpu, gpu, ram, and storage are about the only things you could use if you wanted to swap to another case with a better motherboard and power supply.
I have the same pc as this one but when I play csgo or most games it takes forever to load in but once i do load in they are fine some frame drops in the beginning from it just booting up but after a little bit it’s fine runs smooth and everything it’s just loading into games and maps takes forever any reason as to why?
I did notice that I had to uninstall amd adrenaline and reinstall with the rx6400 drivers. This helped the performance a lot but I just found another video that talks about windows 11 and slow csgo loading. This might help
Go to the start menu and search omen. The HP omen software should be available. Select that program and there will be a lighting section that will recognize the rgb
hello I bought this PC you connect on which hdmi the screen graphics card or the other at the top motherboard? and I have crashes also on black ops 4 can you help me?
You connect the hdmi cable to lower ports to use the graphics card. The top hdmi port will not work with the gpu installed. If you have issues with graphics and crashes, I recommend deleting all drivers and the amd software and reinstalling new drivers from the amd website. This helped me a lot!
@@bradfordskeldoradoTHANKS ! Ok so I connect to the hdmi of the graphics card then, if a game crashes again I will delete and reinstall and to delete all the drivers, where and which ones? sorry but I'm learning on PC I'm new with the basics anyway :)
All good! I recommend going to Google and search for "display driver uninstaller" there the first link will be guru3d.com. install the ddu program and run it. Select the amd rx6400 driver. Then once you have done that. Go to AMD's website and search display drivers. Filter to the rx6400 and download the file. It will install amd adrenaline and then it will ask if you want to install graphics drivers. Once you do this, restart your pc and try everything again! Let me know if you have any other problems!
@@bradfordskeldorado Reinstallation finished, and I played Warzone which part for test everything is ok I am in recommended visual quality 70 FPS here Thank you comrade it's nice and in AMD software graphics tab you advise me what as a parameter not to change anything there are people who put quality texture filtering performance. What do you say standard or performance?
I was just curious of what the wattage was on the power supply? Considering you added a better graphic card that needed a power supply would it be advised to just upgrade to a 600 watt power supply?
It's only a 350W psu so it does have its limitations. Since recording this video, I have tested an RX6600 and an RTX 4060 that honestly performed incredibly! The low power draw of the 4060 and the high performance of the card made this little pc a killer!
@@bradfordskeldorado I got the G Force GTX 1650 super do you think a new power supply would be needed for that? I actually just bought that system but mine came with the 16 gig of RAM basically I got the upgrade wasn't sure if I'd have to change out the power supply for that graphic card
@slyjack a 1650 super would be perfect in this pc. It would be a good boost in performance vs the RX6400 and only draw about 100W in power so you wouldn't need to upgrade the psu! Hope this helps!
I got a good question for you I just got the system put the new graphic card in everything is working fine but this system will not detect my microphone it has Windows 11 on it I've gone through all the standard help but under windows it's reading device not detected but it's clearly plugged in any helpful tips PS Imran new to Windows 11 LOL
I plan to use it for stream labs obs, if I want to play game, I think I will play the game on my Xbox and capture window or screen through obs. My 10 year old laptop couldn’t manage all that. I don’t want the pc to play games, o want it for stream labs. Will I be ok? I think I will be ok lol.
If you're using a capture card and broadcasting from the pc then you wouldn't have any issues with this. Most of the times when streaming, the cpu gets overloaded from processing the game and trying to do the encoding of the stream. This cpu is more than capable of being setup to just run stream labs!
@@bradfordskeldorado thanks for the prompt reply. This Pc will deliver to me in two days, and I can’t wait to start my show using stream labs on this pc. Gaming is not my intention with this pc , even though I will play games sometimes lol. Thanks again 💪🏾😀
So this is a step up from a small form factor pc so a tower style cooler wouldn't fit, but a low profile cpu coolers like the Noctua NH-L9I could possibly work. It's not a standard am4 mount though, it's similar to an Intel mounting setup with the square pattern vs the rectangular amd shape. I could possibly try one out though!
The only pain about these pcs are, in order to put the cooler mounting back plate on is you have to remove the motherboard. Not too hard of a task but I'll try to get something up in a couple weeks! Thanks for the idea!
I got this and already upgraded the ram to 16gb. Will a 3.5 inch hard drive fit? I want to add storage and don’t know a lot about pcs as this is my first.
I added a 3.5" hard drive in the video but I would honestly recommend going with a 2.5" ssd. You can get a 2tb pny ssd for about $63 on Amazon and it has the cables included to plug and play!
I just bought one with the same stats basically but with a 16 gb ram installed but i cant find a review for that specific one but most people seem pretty happy with there models... not counting the people on Amazon who hate on it because its not a nasa computer for 500$
It's not really practical with this motherboard style. It has a front and rear I/O that is specific for this case and it has proprietary connectors and a smaller power supply for this case. If you planned to buy and swap it, you might as well but everything and build the pc yourself. Adding a $60-$90 case, $80-$120 power supply and a $100 motherboard would have this pc around $800 and you can build a pretty good pc at that price point
The power consumption for a 2070 super is 210W. This power supply is only 300W total so I wouldn't recommend using it for this pc, but they do have other models with bigger power supplies. I wish HP would sell just the psu to change out so you could upgrade them
I would highly recommend considering spending a tad bit more for the rtx 4060 just for the performance you get and the low power draw. Also, make sure you order the 3200AA ram so you maintain the 3200 mhz speed! I'll post the link below. Reach out with any other questions you have! A Tech 3200AA ram a.co/d/7yZwN4R

You could easily do a ryzen 7 5800x but that's about all I would run. The ryzen 5 5600x was a little hot but I'm sure the R7 would be fine. More cores and threads to multitask faster but as far as gaming performance, it would be a small bump. You can find them on Amazon and at Best Buy for around $250
@@smokeydabear9147 I agree the ram first and gpu second. But!... I did order a couple fans (Noctua 80mm and 60mm) to do a short on how to add more ventilation! 🤣 🤣
Yo, i just got this off the hp store, and got 32 gb of ram, RTX 4060 and an intel core i5, and 1 and a half tarras of storage, i was wondering if i should also get some new fans for it, but ill do thay later on if it works when it arrives, i got it for about 700 bucks, because its 400 off for black friday, im so excited but my parents said i have to wait until Christmas to use it :( im coming from a PS5 so i hope this is good, from the videos ive watched about the parts i have it can run all the games i want to play really well
That is a killer deal! Great buy and you shouldn't have any issues with running games on high settings! I would recommend a fan upgrade but honestly, the bigger gpu fans with help with the cooling of parts more than the little fan and heatsink on the pc I reviewed.
Anyone know if A-Tech 8GB DDR4 3200 MHz UDIMM PC4-25600 (PC4-3200AA) CL22 DIMM Non-ECC Desktop RAM Memory Module work with the 8GB stick of ram that's in the computer now?
This should work great and not reduce the ram speed. I just ordered a set and should be here on Thursday so I can test to verify if you are wanting to wait before you buy
I wouldn't recommend using this mother board. If you purchased all of these parts individually you would be around $100 more in cost but you would have parts that you could upgrade. This motherboard and power supply have proprietary parts that don't allow you to use anything but the manufacturer parts.
In theory you could, but it would take some work. As mentioned it isn’t worth it since the PSU has to be carried over unless you can get the pin out for the pwrcmd plug to splice. Even then you’ll still need an 8 to 24 pin adapter. Once you mount a custom stand-off layout all of your PCI slots won’t line up. You’re going to have to run USB extension cables for the front unless you can find another way to tie into the new case’s front USB ports. Don’t forget your power switch.
Thanks for that info. It's running at 2400mhz currently. I never thought to check to see that the speed changed. I appreciate the feedback!

That's insane! $175! Great buy!
Same! But only a 80mm fan fit the side panel. I re-thermal pasted, added a side fan, and the system stopped randomly rebooting during game play.
Nice! I would like to see about some options for a different cooler but I haven't dealt with this pc in a couple weeks

I probably should buy that game to include in benchmarks for future vids 🤔 Do you have a budget you're trying to stay within? This pc is good for a cheap prebuilt but future upgrades like the psu, motherboard and case will limit you.
You can add two drives because the psu has two sata power connectors but you would need another sata data cable with is only about $5-$8
@@bradfordskeldorado OK, so I have the case open, if I got 2 of those PNY drives is there room? I know the bay will hold one, would the other be hanging loose? hahaha
It would basically just be on the bottome of the case or you could have it anywhere. An ssd doesn't have any moving parts so it would be fine where ever you put it. A Hard drive has a spinning disc so they can have issues if they aren't mounted securely.
i have one, it works perfectly, if you are on a budget get this, and if you want a little more performance i recommend you get another 8gb stick, i added a 2tb wd blue hdd to the pc.

Hey ive got a question, can I put my gtx 1070 into this bad boy? Since it has a 350W power supply I was wondering if this will be enough
WHAT CABLE DO I HAVE TO BUY TO BE ABLE TO CONNECT MORE FANS AND RGB?
A fan splitter is for adding fans and I personally don't know about adding more rgb to this. It doesn't have an rgb header so you would probably just have to find some single color fans that run off of the fan power but don't change or find an rgb set that has a switch.

Hello Comrade the form? what is the configuration to do on this pc like the max to run all the games in 1080p without worry in high or ultra thank you in advance
With this pc, I would add a gpu similar to the one I did in this video. Adding a better gpu wakes this thing up and unlocks a lot of performance!

I did a short with adding a fan there. I used an 80mm but I believe a 90mm will fit too
So you cannot upgrade the ssd and no 2 nd slot for a nvme m.2 , what hard drive did you add ?
Unfortunately it does only have 1 nvme slot but you can add a 2.5" ssd for storage. The HDD I added was just a 2tb drive I had laying around and the cage is big enough to fit one but the 2.5" will mount in it too! Hope this helps
Where and how can i add more ssd storage ? and what kind no one can help not even hp i do not see any other spaces on board
Hope this helps!

hello comrade do you think to make a new video on this PC with even better to see if we can still gain in FPS?

@@bradfordskeldorado thank you for you assistance
Anytime! Let me know if you have any other questions
So you was talking about adding in a 2nd fan on the side of the case. What all is needed to hook it up and secure it in place?
The inside black bracket has holes in it for something like an 80mm fan but you would need a splitter for the fan power.
I added an extra fan on the side. It didn't really seem to help it run any cooler
I mainly did it because this little pc doesn't have but one fan in the rear. Just something you can do to pull in fresh air and depending on the fan size, I'm sure it could increase the volume. Not only that but the pc should have a set temp for the fan curves to speed up when needed.
Crazy how long it took for decent 1080p gaming to finally be affordable. its not the perfect pc but its still better than getting a $700 omen. Cheers

Can I use the Sata port that’s on the motherboard as power for a cool moon rgb controller or how can I get a sata power cable on the psu?
There is a sata power that you can use for a drive but I don't know how much the rgb controller takes. I'm sure you could buy a splitter if you needed an additional cable for the drive and rgb controller
@@bradfordskeldorado my victus had a splitter already connected to the motherboard so I used one for the cool moon and it worked but after a while the pc turned off so I unplugged it and started it up & it worked fine I thought I fried it but I’m wondering why it powered off. I personally would recommend 1080p gaming but that's not to say you couldn't do a 1440p monitor but set you setting to 1080. If you have the money, I would say go for it but wouldn't recommend 1440 gaming until you swap the gpu

@@bradfordskeldorado okay I'm going to take a diet with it to be sure, which one do you recommend?
I would try to find an Nvidia gpu to be honest. The 2060 I had in the build worked really well and boosted the performance with a lower power draw. If you're going with amd the I would spend the money for the rx6600 with the possibility that you may have to under volt the card slightly
Was wondering you could tell me if it's worth the buy. $700 Victus Intel i5 1440016gb Ram 512gb
M.2 SSD Rtx 4060 gpu.

Absolutely! I did a video with this pc and put the ssd into another motherboard. Works great!
how do i change the rgb on the front panel? i have the exact same one.
The omen software should be installed from the factory. Open it up and there is a lighting tab that controls it.
Is this pc good for music production on softwares such as fl studio or bandlab?
I'm not able to say 100% if this would be good for those programs but I will say it is a bit of a power house for the price it is set at. If you add the additional ram and the storage space then it will help it with running under stress. The ryzen 5 is a good cpu and the nvme ssd that comes with it would allow you to run programs quickly. Not sure how much you may have found one for but I have heard of people finding these for $300-$400.

how many 3.5 inch hard discs can this victus 15 l support? thanks........
Only one additional 3.5" drive due to space but you have two power cables and room for two 2.5" drives. You would just need one additional data cable
Hello sir, I have exactly this PC. Do you think an MSI 4060 Gaming X can fit inside?
This gpu would fit!
The upgrade you did want big enough for me to consider upgrading
Are you talking about the 2060 gpu and the ram? The 300w power supply has its limitations, so with the pc, there isn't a lot of head room to upgrade a lot.
@@bradfordskeldorado I'm only seeing a 18ish fps gain on the harder to run games. The AAA titles will very and the Rx card is running them at high rates already. Does your PC have an idle hum? Whenever I start it up and not doing anything it has a noticeable humming sound.
That's definitely not something I have seen or heard. Could be a defective fan. I would submit a ticket through hp and see if they have heard of this issue.

Can I get a link for the upgraded gpu
My recommendation would be to look for an rtx 3050. It is equal performance but about 50w less power. Also, the 2060 is getting expensive and I can only guess because they aren't being made anymore so this suggestion would be cheaper. Something like this...
MSI Gaming GeForce RTX 3050 8GB GDRR6 128-Bit HDMI/DP PCIe 4 Torx Twin Fans Ampere OC Graphics Card (RTX 3050 Ventus 2X 8G OC) a.co/d/1udtxdY
Just got this today and don’t know anything about computers … I heard gpu and ram needs upgrade. What exact ones should I get for this pc
Also is the 2060 gpu u used in the video better then the rx6600 ?
The 2060 was just something I had laying around. I wouldn't recommend it due to it being an outdated gpu and most times people are selling them for $300-$400 and it's just not worth that.
Your ram is like your brain. It controls all the active apps and games in real time but doesn't store any data. So the more ram you have, the more space you have for multitasking. For this pc, I would recommend the A-Tech ram in the link below. This is the same speed as the ram that it came with and is only $26. This will give you 16gb total and stay at the 3200mhz speed.

If you have a 2070 super and you're wanting to use it then I would recommend a psu upgrade but if you're buying a new gpu then I would not recommend the 2070S. It's a great gpu but the power consumption is around 205W vs the 110W that the 4060 or the 135W that the RX6600
Hello, this video is so cool :)
Do you know any another gpu would still be good on it but more cheap ?
There are gpus that are better than the RX6400 but the question is, are they worth spending the money for a small fps increase. I still see 1660 and rx 6500 gpus selling for 100-120 but that's only about a 15% increase. I have found used rx6600s and rtx 3050s for $180-$200 that would be a bigger boost. I always like the saying "buy nice, or buy twice". I wouldn't want to recommend a 1660, only to turn around a month later and wished you spent the extra to get a better and longer lasting product.
Feel free to drop your channel info! I would be down to check it out!
Can u do a cpu cooler upgrade maybe with the noctua nh u9s?
So this is a step up from a small form factor pc so a tower style cooler wouldn't fit, but a low profile cpu coolers like the Noctua NH-L9I could possibly work. It's not a standard am4 mount though, it's similar to an Intel mounting setup with the square pattern vs the rectangular amd shape. I could possibly try one out though!
@@bradfordskeldorado nice appreciate it - i got the hp pavilion which is similar to the victus
@@bradfordskeldorado Awesome! Thank you very much!
I just bought one with the same stats basically but with a 16 gb ram installed but i cant find a review for that specific one but most people seem pretty happy with there models... not counting the people on Amazon who hate on it because its not a nasa computer for 500$
Hey man is it possible to swap cases ?
It's not really practical with this motherboard style. It has a front and rear I/O that is specific for this case and it has proprietary connectors and a smaller power supply for this case. If you planned to buy and swap it, you might as well but everything and build the pc yourself. Adding a $60-$90 case, $80-$120 power supply and a $100 motherboard would have this pc around $800 and you can build a pretty good pc at that price point
Do you think a 2070 Super can be upgraded into this pc?
The power consumption for a 2070 super is 210W. This power supply is only 300W total so I wouldn't recommend using it for this pc, but they do have other models with bigger power supplies. I wish HP would sell just the psu to change out so you could upgrade them
What kind of screw do you use to open the pc
The screw driver is a t-30 torx or a flat head screw driver
Alr thanks I was thinking of adding a rx 6600 for better fps should I add more ram
I would highly recommend considering spending a tad bit more for the rtx 4060 just for the performance you get and the low power draw. Also, make sure you order the 3200AA ram so you maintain the 3200 mhz speed! I'll post the link below. Reach out with any other questions you have!

@@bradfordskeldorado ok I also have one more question my game bar doesn't work I tried resetting it and looked up many videos on how to fix it but it didn't work the only thing that works is my screenshot capture and my microphone but when I click record it says "background couldn't be recorded" if you have any suggestions on how to fix it or a app I can use to record pls tell me.
Are you trying to capture through the amd software?
Literally watching this video from this exact PC. Any idea of what CPU I could upgrade it up to?
You could easily do a ryzen 7 5800x but that's about all I would run. The ryzen 5 5600x was a little hot but I'm sure the R7 would be fine. More cores and threads to multitask faster but as far as gaming performance, it would be a small bump. You can find them on Amazon and at Best Buy for around $250
The cpu is the last thing I would focus on with this pc. The gpu, ram, and psu should be a big focus as well as some better ventilation.
@@smokeydabear9147 I agree the ram first and gpu second. But!... I did order a couple fans (Noctua 80mm and 60mm) to do a short on how to add more ventilation! 🤣 🤣
In the UK there is a 1660 super version, is that still good?
The 1660 super isn't bad but I think it has an hdmi and a dvi output. It has an intel cpu too but more than capable to get you gaming!
Bro if i buy it with a i7. 12700f rtx 3060ti with 500w, if i put in turbo mode the cpu there will be problems??
Are you talking about in the bios or a different program?
Different
For you I will have problems with the psu?
@anze3959 I don't mess with overclocking a lot so I'm not sure if the pc would run into issues or not.
@@bradfordskeldorado ok thanks
@@bradfordskeldorado Ok please let me know. This HP Victus 15L computer will be delivered today from Walmart for $399.99 + tax.
I keep seeing people posting they got it for $399 and that's a killer price!
@@bradfordskeldorado I know that's why I jumped on the deal. Final price delivered was $418.
Just received the A-Tech memory and it does run at 3200mhz and will not decrease the performance! Works great, simple plug and play!
Could I move the motherboard to a bigger case?
