I absolutely love the Valo camo pattern here in WA! I hunt the sagebrush canyons of the Snake and Blue Mnts. I feel it’s the best still & stalking hunting pattern I’ve ever used.
I bought a pair of pants and inseam was like 34 and was no any other lenghts just waist but with boots that extra 2 inches length did work out they are nice like em to scoop snow when was negative 30 this past winter
Living here in Wisconsin and being Native, Ho-Chunk specifically… the majority of us only do deer drives and it’s a lot of bustin through thickets and rough shit lol always tearing and getting rips in our clothing during the season. But I’ve been looking into Kuiu for sometime, but I have never just broke down and bought quality high end hunting apparel. I think this years the year lol picking these bad boys up and I think a guide DCS jacket in Verde… appreciate the video boss! 🔥 aho
So far my favorite KUIU hunting pants. My biggest concern were snags and pilling on the pants...my Tiburons got destroyed last year. And the places I hunt have lantana bushes and berry bush trees. This pants plow right through them without any snags or tears. I've slid on my butt downhills with lava rock and grass during stalks, and haven't experienced any damage on the pants. It's also water repellant but will need a new spray after a few washes. My only gripe is that, it's very loud when going through brush or when you are walking the inner thighs can make a rubbing sound kinda like corduroy pants lol. Other than that it's a solid pair. I did get the pants on sale and because of the price I am looking at the Attack pants for a backup this year. However I am not sure how they will hold up against the brush and torn bushes. Thanks for the review! Edit: I am 5'10, 175# and I wear the 32Short. It fits perfect, it's not too long and not too short. I think the Short is a 31 inseam.
What are your opinions on Kuiu pants and jackets as every day wear? I've been thinking of picking up a pair of Kutana Stretch pants and maybe a Kutana Storm Shell jacket for rainy days in a solid color.
I hunted va bow and the wind pro fleece is money. It's strong mid layer that just doesn't let the wind through. The key part is its half the thickness of things that do the same thing
it seems noisy but im not sure how bad they are until i get them into the field. i went out on a coyote hunt last weekend and broke them in, but not the same as summer / fall hunting.

Thanks for the info. What is the thickness like - how do they compare with other Kuiu pants?
Thickness wise I’d say close to the attack. Not quite as thick tho.
Love the video, thanks for putting out great stuff!
Thank you! And you’re welcome!
I used Eric for a blacktail I shot in 2020 and it came out great.
Used what?
Eric at Mountain Pride Taxidermy. I live like 5 minutes from his shop.
Can you use these pants with gaitors?? Thanks! Love the podcast/videos.
Absolutely you can!
What are your opinions on Kuiu pants and jackets as every day wear?
I've been thinking of picking up a pair of Kutana Stretch pants and maybe a Kutana Storm Shell jacket for rainy days in a solid color.
They just keep releasing new stuff that I think I need.
Same here hahaha
I’m new to KUIU, I think I need everything 😂
All of their stuff I have so far has been great. The attack pants have become the pants that I wear nearly every time I go to the field.
How do they fit compared to attack pants?
Very similar fit overall
Any thoughts on the wind proof fleece? That's the next item on my list for whitetail bow hunting.
Haven’t gotten into any of the fleeces yet

How’d those soft tans on the bears turn out? Would you do it again with a summer hide?
1000% I’ll do it on every pretty bear I harvest from now on. They turned out awesome man.
@@PNWild cool good to know. You going back to that shop you mentioned in the video?
What jacket are you wearing ? @pnwild
That’s the Kuiu rubicon hooded jacket
My concern is how noisy they are. Seems the material would be loud going through brush making a stalk.
it seems noisy but im not sure how bad they are until i get them into the field. i went out on a coyote hunt last weekend and broke them in, but not the same as summer / fall hunting.
Update on the pants?
I’ll take the khaki new colour option, these ones you have look like you have VALO underpants on
Haha! Glad they make a few color schemes!
