Beavertail Aluminum Boat Floatation Pods: Weld-on Before and After
They are worth every penny! Great job brother!
Thanks! They did great today!
What is the purpose for the plate about the intake on your jet?
Never seen that before.
It helps get on plane quicker. It’s a cool little device!
I noticed that you have a tail on your jet foot, are you sponsored by them and was it worth it same for the pods.
Thank you for your time
Nope, no connection with the companies. I had the tail before the pods, to help raise the stern and get on plane. It definitely works! The pods are for the same reason, and they help drifting in shallow water. Both work great!
Did you gain any noticeable rise in your draft depth with these? I have a welded 1648 but only a 25 hp outboard. Loaded down on a duck hunting day i cant get on plane, even with the smallest 4 blade prop i can use. Have given great thoughts to these flotation pods.
Yep! Your question inspired me to do a video yesterday. I personally have had no negative impact from them. 👍
@@fishyaker awesome ill go check that out! Thanks!
Thanks for this video… Did adding the flotation pods effect the steering? I just purchased a used Alweld tunnel jet and it’s heavy in the rear. I want to add pods. I called Alweld and they said it will make it hard to turn the boat cause it’s a jet and turns off momentum thrust.. What’s your thoughts?
The hole confuses me , does the hole just make it catch air
The drain hole? That’s just in case they take on water. 👍
I have a 14x32. I did a lot of work with the decks and everything. I love the boat and setup but I’m looking to sell it because it’s not as stable as I would like. I can stand on the front deck but feel way more comfortable and safe sitting. I would like to be able to stand wit no fear of flipping. So I said instead of selling and getting the 14x48 I’m gone try some stabilizers firsts. Do these work great and what size do u think I need?
Did you have to modify them to match the angle of the transom?
Did you have Haupt welding do this work for you?
Yep. Very sad about what happened.
@@fishyaker what happened?
Well what was the results
Good or bad to the performance of your boat?
Nice🍀🍀
Thanks for joining me!
What size did you get? I have a 1232 jon boat and I’m thinking about throwing a set of the small pods on it soon
These are the large ones. I emailed them in advance to be sure of the size.
@@fishyaker they look good. Maybe I can convince my wife to let me get a set for Father’s Day
Good luck! 😉😁
@@fishyaker she said I can get a set but I can’t seem to find them online. Everyone seems to be sold out of the small and medium. Kind of sucks lol
