It has. That plus a move to the Mississippi Gulf Coast away from the madness of Vegas has helped

I have worked as dealer in casino for years. Casinos have done extensive studies. There is a reason why we only on table for 20 mins, then another 20 mins, then another 20 mins. Then we get a 20 min. Break.
After about 3000 hands in an hour you get brain fatigue. And you make mistakes. Then casino loses money! That is why they are timed sessions. Then you get a break! Same principle true with poker. After so many hands you are going to lose!

Nice content. Love your quality over quantity statement. Last years a lot of coaches promoting the volume cures variance method which often leads people playing too much hours on too many tables which eliminates their win rates and decreases the love for the game.

mathematic volume cures variance if we can play our A game or play like machine. no matter how good you are without volume all winning and losing is just luck . your AA get suck out by KK or your KK meet AA or a flush over flush , all those main big pot is cooler and luck situation. a manic bluff into you multiple street and river some miracle hand and overtake hero hand . or you confident make a 3 barrel bluff that will fold out 99% of opponent hand and end up he had that 1% hand that calling down. all this i trying to say without volume poker winning and losing mainly is pure luck

i think the main take away is how to always in A game and play decent volume . normally those too huge of volume grinder easily not in their A game , maybe in their B game or c game. we are human after all putting in too huge volume / work load drop out quality output . i think beside poker everything include other business and work , how to be in our top form or A game while grinding , too much overtime will often kill the passion for work. but working 2 hour a day or 2 day a week generally wont be efficient enough
