This video was so much fun. I loved how you just kept moving, even if you didn't know what to do next on a card. Thanks for giving me a smile (and some good ideas).
I love all the techniques you showed with these amazing cards - it makes me want to get messy (although you never seem to! LOL!) So great to do another collab with you - I love that we have so much to learn from each other!
thanks, maybe that's the part that I edit out, lol😉💖 I like the way you say that, we are so alike and so different at the same time, cool😍it's great to team up with you, I enjoy each time💕
Thank you so much Gerry, I really really enjoyed watching you create those gorgeous cards. I really really love ❤️ all the ideas 💡 too. Please stay safe and well too xxx Mags
I have recently discovered your videos and blog. You are a marvel and a wonder. I thoroughly enjoy your teaching style, which resonates with the teacher in me. Thank you for the inspiration and practicality.
3:54 I could imagine that embossing powder would be great with that embossing folder that has shells and starfish, because it kind a looks sandy/gritty and would be great for beach themed card backgrounds.
@@GerrysCraftRoom I am right in the middle of watching that video now, and thought to myself… I wonder if Gerry will use that gritty embossing powder with her experimental water background 😝
Love these cards. Always giving ideas. I have to do some of these cards, I need 2 soon for birthdays for my 2 sons. Thanks for always making me smile and love how you didn't know what you were going to do, but yet kept going with ideas. Wish i could think that quick. My OCD pops in and i can't decide which one to do.. I have to have thing percise. Trying to get out of that. Love when I use spray inks..just spray and what it is, is it!!.Thanks again Gerry ,love your videos.
New subscriber, I followed Ardyth's video over to you! LOVE the cards you made, they are really, really lovely and give me ideas I'll need for some upcoming birthday and holiday cards. Thank you for sharing this great tutorial! 👍💖
Great cards Gerry! You actually used 2 things I just looked at but didn’t buy because I couldn’t find any drs rip toon about what they really were used for. The resist and the media powder! I’ll have to watch this again! I thought you had to wipe the resist off when you were done using it. And I couldn’t tell if it was something to use with stencils ? Or if you have to use a heat tool? Any help with the ways to use those 2 things would be great, besides how you did here if there is any. And I lost my head this weekend and bought 12 dylusions spray inks! I hope I got good spray inks. There’s too many to choose from! I also bought some of Dina Wakelys acrylic paint in some great colors! I’m not going to go too nuts there because I thought I could just buy what used to be the cheap small bottles of craft acrylic paint and mix what color I want. And I didn’t get the gloss sprays because I thought I can add water or gel medium to those and splatter them so I spent my money on the ink sprays .
Of course I’d buy it all if I could! Shoot! I don’t even know what I’ll do with it all! But I’m feeling so artistic lately! Oh! And I just bought a bunch of washi tape and made a couple great cards and got on a kick for that and bought a ton of that too! I would love to see a couple videos on that if you have ever used that in your mixed media! Thanks so much! You’re so inspiring!
lol Denise, that's quite a novel😉So the resist can be used in many ways, one as a resist paste, so apply through a stencil, add over an embossed area (like I did) and then use ink or a spray, after drying you can wipe the paste away by buffing the surface. Second its sticky and stays sticky until you wipe it off, so add some embossing powder and that will stick once you heat set it it will stay in place. The media powder is embossing powder with different colours, bigger chunks and some metallic bits, giving you a very cool colour variation. And you can use it like any regular embossing powder. I hope you have found your head back, you will sure need it with all those new goodies and make some pretty things💕
@@dizzinese Great you are feeling artistic, don't let anything stop you now! Washi tape is in the planning somewhere, not sure when though, so many plans, lol😉
@@GerrysCraftRoom thank you Gerry! I did see you use it in the stencil. Oh I found a cool site you will love! It’s an artists making stencils site. Called stencil girl. Check it out! Found it off a RUclips video and the stencils are right up your alley. Very artsy. I loved many of them!
awesome..you know what the difference between a card for a guy and a gal is?? time.. Guys don't care much (well maybe my hubby does) and gals gush over cards.. so I don't spend the hours on them that I do on other cards.. ;-))
