Slim Pickens is one of the most beloved actors in the business, and it's really wonderful to hear about him and see him in his early days. God Bless Everyone.
You wouldn't happen to have Slim Pickens singing "I'm a rodeo cowboy" would you? That is so hard to find. In the movie Honkers he sings it in the truck at the beginning of the movie.
Davey, if you put your email address here, I can send you the song. You would probably have to then look in your junk folder to retrieve the email. After you get it, you can come back here and delete your email address.
If you have this album, could you post the song THE CABBAGE HEAD? A friend recovering from surgery would like to hear it, and I don't have it in digital form. I produced the album. You might want to credit the writer on this song; I think it was written by Kinky Friedman and his brother Roger.

my dad just died last week and one of his best memories was of his father, carley walker, playing fiddle with slim pickens back in the 20's and 30's.
I produced this song. I'm glad all 20k of you enjoy it.
And thanks Jim for a job well done...AND...an excellent Op-Ed back in Nov 2016 about coming to terms > probably even more relevant Nov 2020. Cheers
