Thank you so much for starting with mentioning just cleaning the port. I didnt think mine was dirty, looked fine, but that little amount of dirt was what made all the difference and was keeping it from working. I looked at a bunch of tutorials and yours was the easiest to understand, and the only one to mention just cleaning the port. Great job. Thank you!
thank you for watching and for commenting :) im glad i was able to help out
Thank you for taking the time. Much appreciated!

Brilliant video showing how to do this! As an Apple criticism: all that effort to simply replace a worn socket? Not a manufacturer looking out for customers who want longevity in their products. Built-in-obsolescence. I was thinking of getting the iPhone 14 in a few weeks but thinking twice now...
The most difficult part imo is getting the screen off without damage and that’s only because of the effort they went through to make it water resistant. It is a bit laborious after that (older models used to be way easier).
Can you do a video on how to replace iPhone12 pro max Module with UW Nano Antenna Flex Cable That is located on the motherboard
From my understanding it’s soldered to the board, I have a spare board from an iCloud locked device. I’ll give it a try and if it works out I’ll upload the video
Appreciate it so much everyone in the repair community would be thrilled to have new contact That has never been on a RUclips platform
Got to love these DIY vids when clearly, you need level 99 to kill final boss..
… dude.. this is like a game master or admin going “yeah.. just use my gear and you’ll beat it”.. to a level 1, like me.. entering final boss with godly gear and getting killed in a sec by an intro move from boss.
Even boss is like “really ? You’re just gonna be death like that ?! That was my tickle move. Get up noob”!
Pretty much
How do you know what screws you're putting where lol I seen your screw map then you just started dropping screws anywhere at the end lol
Magnetic mat helps, if you bump into it or a gust of wind comes along the screws don’t move. I also try and put them in the order that corresponds with the retaining plate/flex they came out of
Lastly 8 years of experience and good memory doesn’t hurt either
There are magnetic mats you can get that are specific to each iphone model if you’re turned off by a blank magnetic mat
such great info ! Thank you!

followed as closely as possible. now my phone wont charge at all, and the vibrate is insanely loud. touch screen is acting a little funny as well. Any tips?
Taptic Engine screws need to be tightened
As for the charging and touch screen I’d start with reseating the flex cables before trying other things
are there any risks by doing this ?
like wifi connection problem ????
Not at all
There are risks with every repair. The biggest risk would be damaging the screen. WiFi not so much
thx

Of course
so after watching this video and the time involved, just get a new IPHONE.
Or you can pay someone like me to fix it
No. WTF I hate RUclips videos where they just talk and talk and talk. Just do it. U don’t have to remove all that stuff from the phone. Just gently lift the mb for access
I’ve refined my video process a bit since then. It’s been a while since I made this and I’m a bit shocked when I saw that it was an hour long
I also agree with the ‘just lift the board’. Not sure how long after but now I don’t pull the board or battery as it’s entirely unnecessary. I’ll remake this video next chance I get
As a beginner rather appreciate the extra explanation and background information
Screw that lol
It is a bit much
exactly
Thank you for this one! Huge help! Question: I have been getting a lot of static when the phone is on speaker since I repaired it. Any suggestions?
Have you tried replacing with a known good speaker
this channel deserves more views, you'll get there
Thank you for the kind words. One of these days hopefully soon I’ll be blessed by the almighty RUclips algorithm
At 29:30 I think that you can install the new flex cable without removing the board out , and that is by simply lifting it up😎😍
There are 2 flex that attach to the logic board. One on the lower portion of the board and the other that runs under the board which connects next to the battery flex. Because it runs underneath the board you have to remove logic board from the housing (unfortunately)
@@repaironwheels are 2 cables connect with flex cable directly?
@@shabihalree71 yes. The charging dock is split into 2 flex. Not sure why but that’s the way they designed it
@@spencerparkes7328 thanks a lot ENG 🌹
@@repaironwheels I’ve done every previous model iPhone where the flex runs under the lower end of the logic board, then wraps around to connect to it (iPhone 7,8,x, XR, 11…) and on every one I was able to just lift the lower end of the board (removing some of the lower board mounting screws and sim tray in XR…) simply lift the end of the board slightly, cotton swab a small amount of isopropyl alcohol under the board and flex and the cable slides right out from under the board. When installing new charge port, just pre-fold it and slide it up underneath the logic board and connect it, then proceed with rest if installation. If you don’t connect it to the logic board before installing the port, you may have a problem getting the connector to align properly to connect to the board. Has anyone else reading this been able to do the same on the 12 series?
