Great device! From the marketing view the process is exhausting for a client have to assemble all of that. Don't think twice if some parts comes already assembled.

How closely can you adjust the laptop to be in front of you? I get neck pain from looking too much to the right. Thats the problem I had with a mobotron mount. I'm hoping this mount is able to be more in front of me.
Good question. Every swing arm in every laptop kit is 6" long, and every kit comes with two swing arms which gives you a max articulation of 12" from the pole's position, and the pole is generally positioned close to the center console but still on the passenger side. If necessary you could always add a third swing arm to the kit to give you an additional 6" of extension. That part number is RAM-VB-109-3U, seen here: www.rammount.com/part/RAM-VB-109-3U

Some RAM 2500 trucks have a heating duct that requires the included extension kit to circumnavigate the duct. Its use, however, results in a flimsy shaky mount that allowed my 12" tablet to sway as mucn as an inch while driving on interstate highways in my MT tires. This no dril mount also precludes the use of my passenger side RAM floor mat. I ended up taking mine out, but failed to return it within the companies short return window.
Curiously, is your 2500 Promaster Van? Some ppl use the terms Truck/Van interchangeably, so only ask to clarity that your use of the term truck to confirm that you mean that you have a RAM 2500 Truck and not a van. I also ask because this particular mount is for a 2014-2024 (RAM Promaster) or a 2014-2023 RAM Promaster City series and is not listed for trucks on the ocmounts webpage. At list not currently, it isn't.
I am guessing law enforcement wouldn't use no-drill mounts? The one I saw in a cruiser looked incredibly solid and bolted to the side of the console as well, I believe. Where would they get there's from?
Is this mount sensitive to vibration??? If so do you have any recommendations to mitigate the effects of some vibe for this mount?? Got a '14 silverado that is pretty fond of the "Chevy Shake" at the moment... Got rid of alot of it, but it still comes and goes...
could RAM Mounts make a bottom plate/mount to attach to a Mini Cooper 2013 - holes center to center is approximately 15.5" - please make the base plate at that and i will surely buy a set... thanks.
what's the holes' distance - center to center on this so i can check if they fit in a mini cooper seat rail/bolts...

It looks like the longer stabilizer bolt still isn’t long enough. Did someone forget to account for the length of the spacers? I assume that the final kits had longer hardware for that vehicle so I would’ve acknowledged that in the video or made a second take with the longer bolts. This just looks bad!
Of course it looks easy on the video, guess I got the nuts and bolts that you can't hand tighten, makes it impossible to keep the side keepers in place while you tighten.

I am just wondering about actually installing a laptop stand in my car i haven't seen too many for the
hyundai Elantra And i don't need it to be for the online care just some day to show me What adjustments to make if it's not for the Elantra.
It doesn't even look like the floor stabilizer reached the floor mat on this install, even at full extension.

Got one for a tundra 2010 and there is no ball mount. How do I attach the trey to the pole? Not even any bolts left to do so.

What about a mouse tray? I use a mouse to do field work with my laptop.

Has anyone used this Arm System to hold an iPad or other tablet? How do you like it?
I think it would be a bit overkill for something so thin and light weight. It's designed to secure a laptop by its base, it you attempted to put a tablet there, the arms would be blocking a good amout of the screen, and it would be facing straight up.

Can I use this as a table? In case I wanna eat in a parked mode.
Yes technically when there is no laptop in the tray, it's essentially a ~10" x 10" flat surface (+ 4 nut pockets in the middle though). If you want a more official tabletop surface, you could use an additional RAM-202U adapter and fashion up any custom table top tray, and that tray with RAM-202U ball can be swapped between that and the laptop tray if needed.
Is there a way to accessorize these mounts so that the laptop can be extended to be used directly in front of the steering wheel? Sitting in the driver seat and typing to the side for extended time is hard on the back

Unless those standoffs are made of metal I'm out. Looks dangerous because the seat bolts would be a lot stronger without that thing bolted on top...
The standoffs are made of powder coated steel.

Everyone is talking about the stabilizer bolt not being long enough. HOWEVER..... What about reattaching the front of the damn seat. If you watch the video the front of the seat gets moved out of the way to install the mounting bracket and never reattached. RAM Mount... if you are going to make a video make sure you complete the video.

It would be nice if this was designed for the passenger instead of the driver. If my wife drives, I work. If I drive, my wife works. If the driver works while driving, the driver and passengers die.
I just installed a ram mount and the passenger can very easily use it. There are so many swivels and adjustments you can use it facing anywhere
