- John Deere have proven themselves in this size tractor for the last 30 years. Early 6000 series tractors are now rising in value as they are still capable machines in the right environment. The 6120M builds on this reputation with this YES tractor, a tractor that just does the job and well! Stockmen will appreciate many features of this tractor and is built with them in mind.
Pros:

+ Outstanding manoeuvrability
+ Largest payload weight in class
+ More affordable than the R series
+ Excellent footprint to power ratio
Cons:
- No 50k option
- Operator comfort is of mid 2000's level (not necessarily a bad thing)
Overall a really good tractor for the sector it is aimed at stock yards and general utility.

A more interesting comparison would be the 2019 6120M and the 2020 6120M JD The newer model you show is 7inches shorter, half a ton lighter than the 2019 6120m or the previous 6115M, despite having the additional power boost over older model it handles like a 90 hp tractor on the loader or pulling a tanker
As a young lad I sent hundreds of hours riding the mud guard of a Fordson Major so that buddy seat looks like luxury to me. It looks a very nice tractor and I doubt you would go far wrong if you bought one.

View at 2:40 is if you were a 3 year old child..... John Deere have been proving themselves since 1990s in 4 cylinder tractors.....try again.... since 1970s with the 2130s ....and 2850s launched in 1980s were one of the greatest tractors ever built.
Absolutely, still use some old SG2 30 series at home, great things. I don’t think I explained what I meant in that passing comment very well. My intention was about the initial release of the “M-Tractor” models in the early 90’s (internal JD code name for 6000/7000 series) and there was no actual reference to 4 cylinders at all. You are correct, those old tractors were beuts but I’m not really comparing a 2130 to this 145hp 6M, as you know they’re just different animals and the 6000 series was the turning point for it. That’s all I meant. Thanks for the feedback 👍🏻
Agreed the 6000 series launched mid 90’s was was big step for John deere and cab on M series much the same as today👍

The "buddy seat" was not and as I understand it is not intended as a passenger seat. It is only for instructional purposes and not for having two up in the cab.

I'd rather have a case maxxum 125. 6 cylinder 155hp boosting semi-powershift (abc gears) and would be alot cheaper than that. And thats only 4 cylinder aswell so it wont have as much grunt as the case

Way too expensive for a loader tractor, rather have a kubota, better manoeuvrability, no fancy gearbox or suspension, simple and cheap👌
Then buy a Kubota. JD isn't a Kubota.
I have 3 Kubota’s, I was just saying I wouldn’t want to be doing loader work in tight spaces in a tractor that valuable. Don’t get me wrong it looks a great tractor

Good video but yr young lads John deere had great farmer tractors always 2140 the 2650 and 2850 and the bigger 3050 John deere peaked at the old 6910 series and 7 series tractors they were bullet proof the r series has had problems and tech problems not meeting the power it was meant to give and so on I'd buy the m series b4 a r series tractor less tech less to go wrong and not over price but in truth I'd buy a 6910 or 6920s b4 any of these new there's now as these new deeres are living off the reliability of past series which they don't even come close to
The 40/50 series were great. We still run early 6000 series at home, phenomenal machines. That’s why I still use them as a benchmark

I can't complain about my 6920s its powerful and still great tractor
