Make a note for whoever needs to go to recovery mode on S10(it has regular headphones, not usb-c)! They need to power off the phone, plug the phone to a pc using data cable, press and hold volume up+bixby key+power key....and you will enter recovery mode!
I still can't get this to work on my note 10+ I've only tried connecting a cable that's plugged into a powerbank. Do you need to use the genuine Samsung cable for this to work ?
@@samqaz114 i got it to work on my note 10 by connecting my phone via a cable to my laptop. i just turned the phone off, connected the phone to the laptop and waited for the phone to show it was charging then i held the power button and volume up button at the same time and it worked.
It also works with S10 (Volume Up + Bixby Button + Power), however if you don't have the headphones you can use a normal cable but it has to be connected to something. I checked with a PC but it might be enough to just plug in your charger. I do not see a point why Samsung made it harder to use Recovery Mode...
another thing you can use in order to enter recoveryy mode after this update if you dont have a usb c headphones is your regular charging cable plugged into a pc
Yes. a friend's m31, you must plug it into a laptop or computer (NOT AC charger). Then, while phone is off and plugged into the laptop, press/hold power button plus volume up button. Recovery mode is successful. Not sure what Samsung was thinking.
An update. I have found out that it does not matter whether the phone is open or closed. I also thought it might be to do with the orientation of the phone being put to landscape, but it was not so. These are the steps I took to access recovery mode on the Galaxy Z Fold 2 and it has worked flawlessly (I tried this over 10 times before posting this comment): 1.Fully turn off the phone, that is wait at least 45 seconds for the system to power down. 2. Plug the data cable into the phone USB port and into the PC. 3.Wait till the charging symbol shows, then press and hold the VOLUME UP KEY + POWER KEY. 4.It should then transition seamlessly to the recovery mode screen. Some things to note: 1.When I first attempted to enter recovery mode using the steps listed above, it would go from the first Samsung Logo screen where is says, "SAMSUNG 5G" to the screen where it only shows the Samsung logo, then restart. To overcome this, I would press and hold the VOLUME UP KEY + POWER KEY and when it showed the first samsung logo, I would release BOTH keys momentarily and press again. It would then go into recovery mode. I now don't have to release the keys. It goes straight into recovery mode by holding the VOLUME UP KEY + POWER KEY. 2. Maybe attempting to access Recovery Mode with the screen unfolded first, might set the scene for being able to enter it with the screen folded. This is relevant to the Galaxy Z Fold 2. all the best!
Thank you. This actually worked and I'm surprised no one else could address the hack, they all just copy paste what they see on other websites, but the old way doesn't work.
Thanks. It really worrked. GIven a well deserved like. For people who don't have USB C headphones plug in USB cable into Pc and turn off phone, after turning it off completly insert USB Type C port into charging port and try this again.
The update drive me nuts. I have Note10Lite it no USB-C earphones, after power off the trick just connect phone to PC before hold the button when logo appears release the button immediately.
Will this work with a regular USB-C cable that is not a headphone cable? I only have a USB-A to USB-C cable which I use to connect my M51 to my laptop. Thanks.
For phones that don't use a USB type C earphones, Try this: Power off your phone then plug in your phone to your PC and press and hold the power button and volume up key and your are now in recovery mode. Make sure to unplug your phone before doing any actions in the recovery screen
Hi there to all, who are having problems entering recovery mode on the Galaxy Z Fold 2. I tried using all the suggestions given, such as plugging into the PC, plugging in original samsung USB earphones and also plugging in the charger plug cable. They all did not work since the last update. Finally, I thought "hold on!" I was trying all this with the phone closed (which I usually do). I decided to try the steps , which is turn off the phone & plug the USB cable into the PC, but this time with the phone "OPEN". And bingo, it worked first time. I hope this tip helps. Have a great day!
