February was a tough month... Xander died, the next weekend I got sick, then I went away on holiday, and my new dog Ellie, ran away from the pet sitter! I flew home and spent the next nine days searching for her! We found her a week ago and her feet we’re damaged, so I’ve been laying low taking care of her lately! I’m hoping to get out this coming weekend! Hoping March is much better!! Lol

That is pretty sweet my friend, I love it. PNW makes really good gear. I have never heard anything but good reviews from them. Looks like a great day to be out in the woods, I was hoping to get out this past weekend, but weather was not in favor or me, so we stayed home and did some work around the house. Hi Tom when l was growing up in Wisconsin l used a tent all year round. Now I live in Florida and l switch to the warbonnet double blackbirds. And there super fly tarp. Greetings, sir. Just an idea, but if the odd size leaves left over fabric scraps, maybe you could further collaborate with them to design either a stuff sack for the tarp, or a haversack, or a ditty bag (or whatever fits the amount of left over fabric). This might remove some of the waste in cost and make the project more profitable. Plus, we could have more Cimbrer products to choose from! You could sell them in a packaged set. Anyway, I enjoy your videos very much. Thanks for all the great content.

I have two tarps in size 7' by 9' and the first one was too thick and took up more room in my backpack, but the second one was much lighter and is the one which I will keep in my backpack most of the time.

Great piece of kit. I am also looking for a small, square tarp, just for day camps. I don't sleep out, so I don't need anything big, and I want to keep it lightweight. The colour is perfect too.

Nice video, tarp looks nice. A bit too small for me. The thing I would change on the tarp ar those brass rings. They intend to break or rip the corners of your tarp. Had several cheap tarps before and those are the first things to go. Alternative for those rings is a loop that is stitched to the tarp with an extra cloth piece (triangle), and have either a solid metal ring through that or leave it like that and use paracord pieces to peg it down. That extra fortification prevents the tearing of those points and you can use the loops to adjust your tarp when its up. Other option is to make it also in a dark brown or green, or even a camo colour. Curious about the cost (EUR 80 would be the maximum I would spend on a tarp that small). Would love to see other setups with this tarp. Good job, keep it up!

I have a Warbonnet Outdoors Superfly, that works for summer camping in the 5,000 to 7,000 foot elevations where changing winds, rain and mist can make a smaller tarp uncomfortable and possibly dangerous. The Superfly suits both ground camping and hammock camping, and, while not as light as the tarp in this clip, it defends against anything Mother Nature wants to hurl my way. Plenty of privacy and room to stand and stretch--room to cook a hot meal. Heck, I've even dug a cat hole under one sheltered corner on a cold windy morning
Hi Jeff. I also have a Superfly, but I would never dare get such an expensive silnylon tarp near flying sparks! I think the waxed canvas is safer for a day hike or overnighter where a fire (even one in a container) might pop and send an ember toward the tarp. Just a consideration. Cheers!

Congratulation on your new tarp design. 2M X 2M you can carry any time any where. For someone who doesn't carry a pack or sort, they can sew a light nylon pocket on the inside of their outdoor jacket from seam to seam that will hold that tarp with a small tie in the top middle to close the pocket. You won't even know it's there. Did they come up with a cost for the tarp or is it still to be determined at this time.

Hi Tom when l was growing up in Wisconsin l used a tent all year round. Now I live in Florida and l switch to the warbonnet double blackbirds. And there super fly tarp. Greetings, sir. Just an idea, but if the odd size leaves left over fabric scraps, maybe you could further collaborate with them to design either a stuff sack for the tarp, or a haversack, or a ditty bag (or whatever fits the amount of left over fabric).
This might remove some of the waste in cost and make the project more profitable. Plus, we could have more Cimbrer products to choose from! You could sell them in a packaged set.

I have two tarps in size 7' by 9' and the first one was too thick and took up more room in my backpack, but the second one was much lighter and is the one which I will keep in my backpack most of the time.

Great piece of kit. I am also looking for a small, square tarp, just for day camps. I don't sleep out, so I don't need anything big, and I want to keep it lightweight. The colour is perfect too.

Nice video, tarp looks nice. A bit too small for me. The thing I would change on the tarp ar those brass rings. They intend to break or rip the corners of your tarp. Had several cheap tarps before and those are the first things to go. Alternative for those rings is a loop that is stitched to the tarp with an extra cloth piece (triangle), and have either a solid metal ring through that or leave it like that and use paracord pieces to peg it down. That extra fortification prevents the tearing of those points and you can use the loops to adjust your tarp when its up. Other option is to make it also in a dark brown or green, or even a camo colour. Curious about the cost (EUR 80 would be the maximum I would spend on a tarp that small). Would love to see other setups with this tarp. Good job, keep it up!

I have a Warbonnet Outdoors Superfly, that works for summer camping in the 5,000 to 7,000 foot elevations where changing winds, rain and mist can make a smaller tarp uncomfortable and possibly dangerous. The Superfly suits both ground camping and hammock camping, and, while not as light as the tarp in this clip, it defends against anything Mother Nature wants to hurl my way. Plenty of privacy and room to stand and stretch--room to cook a hot meal. Heck, I've even dug a cat hole under one sheltered corner on a cold windy morning
Hi Jeff. I also have a Superfly, but I would never dare get such an expensive silnylon tarp near flying sparks! I think the waxed canvas is safer for a day hike or overnighter where a fire (even one in a container) might pop and send an ember toward the tarp. Just a consideration. Cheers!

Congratulation on your new tarp design. 2M X 2M you can carry any time any where. For someone who doesn't carry a pack or sort, they can sew a light nylon pocket on the inside of their outdoor jacket from seam to seam that will hold that tarp with a small tie in the top middle to close the pocket. You won't even know it's there. Did they come up with a cost for the tarp or is it still to be determined at this time.
