Throwaway account I can never be caught being corny but I wanna say I came to the podcast looking for the humor I found in the slushynoobz videos but I walked away with something better. Martin's segment about self confidence in his advice to the girl and her relationships was actually really insightful and cohesive. I realize it now but I'm in high school and I've had a bit of a rough time in the past few years just because my confidence dropped after the pandemic hit. "It starts with a conversation at a bus stop." This has honestly shifted my perspective a lot more than I thought it would. Instead of demanding a desirable lifestyle and just wishing it were true behind a prison of insecurity, you can safely build yourself without social awkwardness or negative consequence. It really does start with you. I always talk to my one friend about the Slushy Noobz videos and I always mention how I feel like Martin in actuality is a lot more socially and emotionally intelligent than he appears to be. The more genuine parasocial interactions I have with him, the more it becomes solidified in my mind. Thank you, Martin!
30:50 Volleyball. I recommend trying it out just for fun like you guys are planning. bcs 1) Its genuinely a FUN sport, ive played football (soccer) but it was too competetive and intense but volleyyball just feels fun during the entire match. not sayings its not competitve like other sports but it still feels fun while being competitve. 2) it will never be boring. no matter how many matches you play there will always be something new. its so high energy, there is never a boring moment. a game will never feel like its dragging on its always moving moving moving. 3) its a TEAM sport. you cannot play volleyball if you dont trust or like all the players on the team. i personally love that about it.
yeah volleyball feels very low stakes in comparison to every other sport and is so easy to learn. i also like how it’s not as overwhelming bcs there’s not much running since you’re confined to a small square, you have a set role, there’s only so many types of situations you’ll encounter, and you pretty much always have a teammate backing you up when you make a mistake. i really miss volleyball honestly, might get back into it!
@@lilacfields i know rightttt! i played volleyball all throughout middle/highschool and now in college i dont play. I reallly miss it ive also been thinking of joining like a community team or something just to play again bcs its so fun!!!
@@vampedtone yeah i might try to find a community team too! it was fun while i did it but i’m definitely not good enough to play college level 😭 and also would not like to deal with the pressure of being a student athlete again. you really should try playing again if you can find something near you!

its important to have empathy and an intention to help others when going into psychology, otherwise it will get very draining very quickly. because most of the degree isnt even going to hellp u figure out anything, most of it has nothing to do with actual mental health issues, but rather the theories and other things... so thats really not the right intention! its important to consider therapy instead of going into a degree and paying thousands just for it to not fully satisfy u
