Love makes you do crazy things! I know a bunch of people who flew all the way from the Philippines to Korea to watch the Girls’ Generation 15th anniversary concert. I wanted to go too, but unfortunately I had finals :(

That's why JTL (the members who left HOT) released the controversial music video "A Better Day" Which depicted the 5 members growing up together, then two of the members dying from the original five. I'm a little sad as to what K-Pop has become. This style, this was K-Pop. The real K-Pop. Sure, nowadays' Korean Pop Music is still great, I'm a big fan of both second and third generation groups, but what they are doing is often not even near this. Yes, music develops, but this was K-Pop once. And I miss it.
Kpop back then was made by musicians who weren't afraid to experiment. H.O.T.'s Resurrection album is really unique. I'd actually consider it avant-garde. Modern Kpop is just the same formula over and over. Not to say there is never a nice or well written song but for every one good song there are probably hundreds which are nothing but dross.
I'm ELF and Super Junior always say how much look up them and now watching H.O.T fans with happy tears makes me cry omg. I'm so touched by this. They are definitely legends.
Same here. I'm a 2005 one and the stuff back then was way better. Back then we had fandoms that actually had minds and live sound in all karaoke machines, now we have overrated groups with brainless stans and a karaoke brand that puts ads in their songs.
Im huge h.o.t fan in korea is normal to lipsinging lol but when they had to do some concert they perform live , true they sound as goood as the cd audio studio lol if you check on youtube most of the footage are lipsigning but in the concert 2.2.7 they sing all the song live was really impressive!

Lol Only CDs and MV Heaven that would play at 1am 😭 Edit: Yes During the 90s, K-pop music videos broadcasted in the states but it was on the international channel, and their CDs were sold in Morning Glory, which I don’t even think exist any more LOL. I’m old. 😂 But let me tell you, H.O.T was popular because they had a positive message for the youth. I honestly believe BTS is popular for the same reason. (Pay attention to the lyrics) They’re music actually ‘meant’ something. ❤ H.O.T got me through my depression as a youth. I will always love and be thankful to them.

i met HOT in 1998, my dads friend was up there in MBC, got my sister and i to meet them in person, it was like meeting gods, ill never forget that night at top10, they were surrounded by staff, security, and managers, only had time for a autograph and a handshake from tony but see all them in front of me was unreal, im really fortunate to have been alive and around in the mid 90s in corea

Never thought they would perform together again. I cried every time when i was watching this video. They are not just Kpop idols for us, they are a mark in our teenage years. A lot good memories came back with their music and dance. Thank you H.O.T, for being a part of my life, and you guys brought me so much positive energy.

I agree that they are fantastic and this is a fantastic performance! :D But there are some amazing modern K-pop singers, too (ex: Lee Hongki). If you have not seen any of FT Island's performances, you are missing out on some incredible live vocals!
There are lots of good kpop singers nowadays too, specially in 2nd gen since they have more experience, kpop is more competitive than it was back then, so there are some amazing singers
Because of nostalgia, I just met them 5 years ago, I was 5 years old back in the time when they were famous and I'm from south America... I still feel the nostalgia because of the crowd, they seem to have so many memories
As someone who literally just discovered H.O.T, I’m sobbing at this. This is the most beautiful thing I’ve seen. Just look at the audience, think about how many times they’ve sighed to themselves throughout the years, thinking about how much they wish to see their favourite idols together on the stage again, and they’re finally here now.
I only knew them out of Reply 1997 and my mom was head over heels for Kangta and seeing them again makes me cry I showed this to my mom she legit ugly sobbed when she saw her first love before TVXQ. Now imagine the 2nd gen groups coming back like this I would really cry like their fans.
Don forget NRG and Turbo. Remember them in Running Man and Safety First shows. HotsechsgodRG + Turbo hahaha :D . Now in 2018 all are reunited. 2014 g.o.d, 2015 Turbo, 2016 Sechskies, 2017 NRG and closed by H.O.T in 2018

I loved these guys when I was a teenager. I didn't learn about them until the summer of 1998 when my cousin who lived in South Korea came for a visit. She brought her H.O.T. CDs and I was never the same. :)

H.O.T. and Sechskies were the Kings of 1st Gen. of KPop for me.. they had the most intense rivalry of that era, they kept going back and forth towards each other, charts by charts and damn, what a sight that was but the only thing that I hated about that time was the fans were hostile (and sometimes physical) towards opposing fandoms.

I agree that they are fantastic and this is a fantastic performance! :D But there are some amazing modern K-pop singers, too (ex: Lee Hongki). If you have not seen any of FT Island's performances, you are missing out on some incredible live vocals!

There are lots of good kpop singers nowadays too, specially in 2nd gen since they have more experience, kpop is more competitive than it was back then, so there are some amazing singers

As someone who literally just discovered H.O.T, I’m sobbing at this. This is the most beautiful thing I’ve seen. Just look at the audience, think about how many times they’ve sighed to themselves throughout the years, thinking about how much they wish to see their favourite idols together on the stage again, and they’re finally here now.

aw I’m not even ashamed of being only 20 years old. I love H.O.T so much and I’ll always love them. It’s not only admiration or respect, is more than that. I’m crazy for them lmao and I noticed it the moment I watched those 2 episodes of Infinity Challenge and then the concert and OMG. I usually scream a lot watching concerts but this one I swear I cried like a baby. I cried real tears. Those fans are definitely the best fans ever for waiting so long. I could feel their pain and tears. International kpop fans don’t always assimilate that when they hear someone name the group “H.O.T” on TV shows or when they watch a song cover, but at least in South Korea the people know these boys (now men) were, are, and forever will be real Legends and that’s the only thing I need to know

H.O.T. and Sechskies were the Kings of 1st Gen. of KPop for me.. they had the most intense rivalry of that era, they kept going back and forth towards each other, charts by charts and damn, what a sight that was but the only thing that I hated about that time was the fans were hostile (and sometimes physical) towards opposing fandoms.
