Reel du Capitaine - Devon's Tune of the Day 228

Here's a killer tune in F from the great group Les Mercenaires du Terroir. We're really getting into the tunes from this band! This tune is called "Reel du Capitaine" and it's from Québécois fiddler Harry Poitras from la Baie-Ste-Catherine just up from Québec City. According to David Brunelle, Poitras cross-tuned his fiddle to play this tune in F, so he played it in FCGD, which is one whole step down from the usual fiddle tuning of GDAE. I'm playing in this cross-tuning for this fiddle tune on my Acadian fiddle! Anyways, killer tune and it works fine in F in standard tuning, and I think it would work in G too.
My dad and I are leading the session today at the Couth Buzzard in Seattle in the afternoon, so come on by and we can play this tune together!
