- Welcome to The Birds and the Bees Homestead! In this video, I'm taking you on a tour of my pantry, fridge, and freezer to show you exactly what groceries we have on hand as we dive into the 2025 Pantry Challenge. For the next month and a half, I’ll be skipping the grocery store and relying on what we’ve stocked up, grown, and preserved to make it through.
💬 Let me know in the comments if you're participating in a pantry challenge or have any go-to meal ideas!

Miso soup is good for using up the tofu
Thank you for the suggestion! I have never made this before - I'll have to look up a recipe :)
Hello Gorgeous 😊
Take that gr deer your not fond of, do equal portions with a good seasoned sausage make chili, or bell pepper casserole with it. Also there is a jerky tube press that takes ground meat and lays it out in strips for "jerky" but not as shelf stable. We raise our beef pigs chickens. We have done duck, rabbit not a fan of duck at all. Rabbit was ok. We have done quail, we have eaten but not a fan too many bones but love the eggs. We also garden. And i can and freeze dry. Meal prep or plan is my biggest challenge as i work 12s and too exhausted to eat, yes he cooks awesome i might add! But i do my best. Nice vid a little echo tho? Ive got 2 huge upright freezers, 2 side by side, a large than you imagine larder, keep doing what you do.
Thank you for the suggestions and encouragement! I think chili would be a great idea to use that deer meat, maybe I'll cook that up with that spicy chicken sausage :) I will also see if I can figure out how to set up a microphone with my camera - I am very new at this, so I appreciate that feedback :)
