ad charles university building - that is more or less just a "ceremonial" central building - you go there for graduation and similar ceremonie, otherwise university itself has over 50 buildings all over the city that are used for studies.

Ukraine is former Soviet Union country and located in Eastern Europe, while Czech Republic as former Czechoslovakia was never part of Soviet Union and is located in Central Europe. Both Ukrainian and Czech are Slavic languages, while Czech is western Slavic and Ukrainian is Eastern Slavic language, so there is a certain mutual understanding but not as much as with our more related languages like Slovak or Polish.

The 'beaver' was actually a muskrat XD; a north american species, so very much invasive here in europe (they were brought here to for fur farming), so feeding them is not really a good thing as they are negativelly affecting the enviroment. I do agree they are cute despite that tho XD

The correct name is the Czech Republic. Czechia is a neologism and sounds like a disease in Czech. As a Czech I prefer the Czech Republic if we are talking about the whole state or Bohemia if we are talking about the country.

@@amyandaleks Don´t take him seriously. As a Czech I prefer Czechia and the title goes back centuries. But in times of communism they try to indocrinate us to hate the name. That´s why some still hate it. Czechia or Czech Republic is not just Bohemia, it’s also Moravia and part of Selesia. That’s how you can see he has it wrong. Bohemia are in Czech Čechy, not Česká republika.

    • @OndraMike
      @OndraMike 4 месяца назад +1

      Why we do have Czechia:
Germany - Federal Republic of Germany
      France - French Republic
      Sweden - Kingdom of Sweden
      Slovakia - Slovak Republic
      Switzerland - Swiss Confederation
China - Peoples Republic of China
      Czechia - Czech Republic
so easy it is....btw. talking about the country, Bohemia is not a country. It's only a historical region...
Btw. how you want to translate "Česko" in english? (and no, "Bohemia" is NOT the right answer)

Pretty decent travel video for doing all of the touristy things. Remember to clean your camera lens. Half of the footage seemed like the lens was smudged. Offering feedback as a frequent Prague visitor. Trdelnik. If you really want to try it, Trdlo Cafe is a Czech owned food chain and charges much less than the trdelnik places in the tourist areas. There is a Trdlo Cafe in the food court of the Paladium Mall in Namesti Republiky across from the Public House/Powder Gate. I am bummed that the great guide was paraphrased by Amy, rather than just getting it straight from the horses mouth. Sorry, Dita was more interesting. There are a lot of these youtuber Prague guides and they are all pretty homogenous. The thing is, the the locals do a much better job, like Valerie from the Real Prague Guides and Janek and Honza from the Honest Guide.
The Pilsner Urquell Experience is a waste since you are in essence paying money for an Advertisement to their beer. You can learn about the beer pours from any of the Pilsner Urquell restaurants where you don't have to pay the equivalent of $20 for 2 to 3 beers.
The city is trying to regulate tours since they generate money but don't pay taxes, and the two loopholes they use are "free tours" or "Charities." Here is a vetted list of licensed tour guides:
    mmr.gov.cz/cs/microsites/pruvodci/seznam-pruvodcu/seznam-zpravy
    Glad you enjoyed Prague.
