One million percent agree on the no side access, give me two pockets! Even on my travel Pete bag, I have the side access blocked off with a divider, ha!
For those who don't want to pay the Peak Design tax, Ulanzi has a new tripod (Zero Coman or something) that's improved and innovated on PD's design and it is 1/3 the price but far better.
@@davidstone408 it’s nothing like the peak in any way shape or form. The peak is fantastic. I loved mine. But when I got the Ulanzi I loved it more. I sold the peak for a bit more than what I bought the Ulanzi for and I like it better. Plus, if your whole set up is the F38 plate then it’s just one more thing to add to that eco system.
@@davidstone408 It's a complete innovation upon PD's design. You have to turn off your personal bias and look at things objectively. Things like innovation to the ball head was something PD can't even be bothered to fix while charging exorbitant prices. They've made other amazing products recently such as the Falcam system, which is based off arca swiss but more compact and hence easily integrated into a variety of items. Copying is like what K&F tried to do. Innovating is what Ulanzi did.
I recommend the Silent Corner Atoll, it’s available for most camera brands and works well with Sonys. It also comes with a built in quick release for the PD Capture Clip and would allow you to easily shoot in portrait on your PD tripod.
Becki, how do you position your camera when doing a talking piece Your position is always perfect for the desk and eye level where you also have room for dead space for text. Is there a trick you use?
Probably my best purchase that I'm looking forward to receiving is how I just got my hands on a DJI RS3 Mini, and Ulanzi just created a quick release arm that works with their plates on it... but also they have plates that work in the peak design capture clip. So now my camera can hook up to my capture clip, peak design tripod, and my new gimbal without switching out the plates. Best purchase and arrives in the mail soon.
Loved this. Love seeing what you carry in your bags. You always give me ideas for better organization in my bags, beginner RUclipsrs are SO unorganized lol.
Becki and Chris! I have a new blower for you to try out, it's called the Nitecore Blowerbaby Version two. I just ordered mine so I have no opinion on it yet but it seems like a really great option for portable blowers. Let me know what you think!
One thing i love for my peak design backpack mount and tripod is the "L" bracket from "3 legged thing" that does have the version to be compatible with my PD accessories
I have this bad, too and LOVE IT! My favorite camera backpack I've had so far! And I just recently got the battery holder and it's awesome! Great video again! It's always a treat seeing a new notification from ya'lls channel!
Good morning Becki Thank you very much again I really appreciate you taking the time to share your knowledge, information and experience with us it’s really helpful to know. I always forward this information videos along to my friends and family that I know appreciate your honesty highly valuable information as well. Thanks again Becki Hi Chris and Becki as always I appreciate your helicopter 🚁 videos having fun and feeling like I’m on your helicopter adventures videos.
Not sure anyone out there is more organized than Peckham! 🤓 I carry a small battery bank in my sling bag on every shoot now. Sometimes you need a tiny recharge to keep shooting (GoPro/cellphone).
I have the PM 25 liter and I love it, I got the 8 Liter sling as well, but I can’t leave home without a snicker bar and a bag of Cool ranch Doritos or Hot Cheetos
Yes, the pocket knife like multi-tool can be in your carry-on as long as there is no knife blade or spike on it. That said, you can expect it to get scrutinized and hand checked by TSA.
I am using a Peak Design Slide neck strap, attached to a Peak Design Capture Clip. I fastened two of the Peak Design anchors to the capture clip and then hooked it up to the Slide neckstrap. This way, I have a neckstrap that I can keep hanging over my shoulder or around my neck, even without a camera on because the capture clip completes the loop, and then quickly and easily attach to my camera, but also quickly and easily take it off.
PGYtech Mantis Pod is always in my bag. Versatile for quick tabletop setups and hanging in random/unique places and small enough to stuff in your bag without taking up any space. It's a good supplement to a tripod when you need a quick setup. I found myself using it for my phone a lot as well.
Have lots of the same kit, but Peak Design Capture Clip - my camera Sony A7R4 with 50 1.2GM locked on Clip mounted on PM everyday 25L backpack at Paddington Station Elizabeth Line (in London) someone brushed past me so hard against the camera but it remained in place. Amazing tech, do not know if this was by accident or something more sinister, but alway if moving have the locking system on.
*I LOVE the Peter McKinnon Back Pack. I got the 25L version also because it's called everyday for a reason and I use it for EVERYTHING not just Camera Gear. But Ya forgot to mention the dividers also. But I also have the Peak Design Sling 10L because it works just like My Everyday Pack also*
Love the video, I'm glad I found the channel! I going for your recommended towel as I'll be Whale watching soon! Just an aside I found the audio a little echoing. Maybe its my HomePod mini speakers???
@@BeckiandChris i have the same! Do you find other filter useful? I’m starting some outdoor shooting and I live in scotland(always superainy). Do you feel that a polarizer could help with reflections?
Absolutely! It’s my favourite for video! But I needed a camera to do both photos and videos and could only choose one it would be the A74 it’s fantastic. Using that as our second body now and love it
@@BeckiandChris Saw in B&H the "Nomatic McKinnon Accessory Straps (Set of 2)". Did you get those? Cause in the photos it was used for the front side of the bag. Thank you for the reply. Appreciate it 🙏
i label my batteries 1-8 and i usually run them sequentially. and the next shoot I reverse the order. so that the wear and tear is even out. cameras like my phaseone i have 8 and z9 i have 4. i also use a BT-1300 charger for my other non li-ion batts. it has a quick test function to check the resistance value.. once it goes above 500, its time to dump the batteries.. some stuff like remote triggers and others still use AA/AAA batts. I have also shifted to using li-ion AA/AAA batts that use type-c USB to charge. as for labelling, i just use a casio labellier for both from and rear covers. and i usually try to fit lenses topdown so that my assistants dont need to rotate to find the lens (if lying sideways) but just see the top/rear dust covers. I also use the casio labellier to label at the bottom of my pelican so that the assistants will know where the lens should go back to.
You can travel with the peak design or small rig multi tool in you carry on however it does look like a knife so they will likely pull it out but when they see it’s a screw driver and Allen key they don’t care haha
I think my Rocket is roughly 16 years old and quite possibly older. I can't remember. BTW when you are moving over to the Dark Side and edit in Davinci Resolve? 😇😇
I feel like she just watched a bunch of influencers are remade their list. Nothing unique. All mediocre overpriced big name gear. Sure it’s pretty good but what a boring list.
The Cleanliness, the labeling, and organization overall just makes me moist.
Ew.

Becki and Chris are so amazing
And that crisp aesthetic is just perfect ❤️
Aw thanks!
I like the idea to put stickers on the other side of batteries to know which one is gone quickly, so smart. Thanks for your sharing!
Bring some extra bungee cords to camera camp for my bag please!
I've traveled with the Smallrig tool dozens of times, and have only once had security pull it and look at it. Done in literally 30 seconds.
Perfect good to know!!

rocket blower is great indeed!! always get the large one though, it simply has more power, and yes, you want that :)

Nomatic Peter McKinnon bags are the best. I just got the sling bag from his line.
