I love everything about this: the chord progressions, the key change, the form of the song. This is such a good example of how to make a song simple, yet interesting at the same time. It's so catchy and heartbreaking, but so fun to play on guitar because of all the changes. I'm gonna teach it to one of my students as an example for composition. Beautiful work, Marcela!

Amazing song with a very effective sound scene design!
What do I mean?
This song from the beginning, specially the voice gives you the sensation of emotional devastation and being on live flesh.
Many dramatic songs of this kind give you space through reverb or some interlude but this one gives you no place to scape to once the heat rises. Marcela’s voice hits you fully with phrases that effectively recreate the hurt and scorch your soul.
Technically, the dynamics, texture, color and vibrato always feel under control even at the climax of the song.
I have been following her evolution by 20 years and keeps amazing me in the best way!
Thanks for this song that means a lot for all of us that have been through those life experiences that deserve songs of this caliber!

Definately prefer the live version over the studio version. Live, to me, always sounds more relatable. 😀 Little imperfections (if there are any) actually makes it sound better.
Actually, I don't see that as a weakness necessarily, but as an interesting dynamic to add to the whole performance. The natural softness of the lower notes can compel a particular dramatic effect that ends up being quite positive, performance-wise.
