No, George Steinbrenner would not have fired Boone because he would NEVER had hired a person to be Manager with no previous MLB managerial experience to begin with!

And DFA Gleybar Torres. He's demonstrated lackadaisical play and countless errors that usually leads runs for the opposing teams for a long while now. This just didn't start last month.

Hal is the owner its his fault. george would have signed Bellinger and Soto together Why because he hated losing. Sometimes you got to go the extra mile.
It's really looking like Hal is in over his head. When your payroll is in 300 million dollar area year after year. You have to get much more out of the players. When fans are paying 200 a ticket to see your team, demand perfection.

I think his pending free agency is weighing on Gleyber's mind knowing that this could be his last year with the Yankees. He is not Aaron Judge who reacted differently. Take Sparky Anderson's rule about the 3 categories of players and how to manage them. Maybe the counterintuitive approach would be to offer Torres a one year incentive laden contract for 2025. Maybe this will help him refocus on playing the game. He's 27 years old so I don't think he all of a sudden forgot how to play. Just thinking outside the box.

Brian Cashman is clearly very good at his job. The Yankees havent had a losing record in like 33 years. But I think there is an internal issue with developing hitters. Aside from Judge and maybe now Volpe, who was the last really good hitter the Yankees developed? Brett Gardner??.
George Steinbrenner likely would give Aaron Boone the next 16 games to fix this. That’s how many games they have left before their All-Star break the last three coming against Baltimore. And if it’s not fixed in the next 16 games he’d get fired.
How is it Boone’s fault? Yeah he hasn’t been great, but the problem is the roster.
